Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fuel tank for motor vehicles. Such tanks are often saddle-shaped, d. H. a curvature of the Tank bottom separates two tank compartments from each other. Above the above the tank bulge located on the floor are the two tank compartments connected to each other. In a first tank chamber there is a so-called storage tank available. A fuel usually located within the storage pot The pump delivers fuel to the vehicle engine. Furthermore, in the first Tank chamber installed a first suction jet pump near the ground, the fuel promotes from the tank chamber into the storage pot. If the fuel level is like this has lowered far that the two tank chambers through the bulging of the floor separated from each other, care must be taken to ensure that fuel can also be removed from the second tank chamber. Usually will this is achieved by a second suction jet pump arranged therein, which has a from the supply or return line powered with the first suction jet pump and is connected to the storage tank via a delivery line. While driving The first tank chamber or the storage pot located therein is a tool operation filled with fuel while the second tank chamber is being emptied. It forms different fuel levels in the tank chambers. At the vehicle is out of service, the level difference is the same Propellant and if necessary via the delivery line again. This level off the tank compartments are in and of themselves problem-free. With some vehicles however, there is an electronic leakage monitoring system. This The system devalues itself in the first tank chamber when the vehicle is parked lowering fuel level as a leak in the fuel tank. The vehicle user fin a corresponding warning display appears when the vehicle is started up, which calls for an - unnecessary - visit to the workshop.
The object of the invention is therefore to propose a fuel tank in which such an error message is prevented.
This task is accomplished with a fuel tank of the type mentioned the characterizing features of claim 1 solved. After that is in the Driving line or arranged in a suction jet pump, a check valve that prevents the fuel from running out when the dispensing device is out of operation the first tank chamber into the second tank chamber flows back. So both the fuel level remains in the first as well as in the second tank chamber when the motor vehicle is parked got right. Electronics monitoring the leakage of the tank system no leak is pretended.
The check valve is preferably arranged in a suction jet pump. There it can be accommodated in a constructively and technically simple manner become. The drive line connecting the two suction jet pumps can thus be designed in the usual way. Because the key element of the check valve is made of an elastomer, the noise level the check valve is greatly reduced. One for the present task a particularly suitable check valve has a membrane with its Edge area cooperates with a valve in the manner of a flap valve.
In order for the fuel to flow back out of the reservoir or out of the first one There are various ways of preventing the tank chamber via the delivery line keiten. For example, the end assigned to the first tank chamber the delivery line so far above the storage pot that none direct connection between its liquid reservoir and the delivery line consists. The disadvantage here, however, is that, for example, when cornering sharply the fuel escaping from the delivery line is not in the reservoir, but instead is also promoted. In a preferred embodiment is therefore a Lö Solution provided, in which the end of the conveyor line protrude into the reservoir can. Here, namely, the delivery line has a ventilation hole in front preferably above the maximum liquid level of the first tank chamber or the storage pot is arranged. The ventilation opening is so dimensioned that the fuel escaping from it is practically insignificant. At parked vehicle, the ventilation hole causes the fuel column in the delivery line tears off, so that a suction lifter effect is prevented.
Es zeigt:The invention will now be illustrated in the accompanying drawings Exemplary embodiments explained in more detail. It shows:

Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of a fuel tank 1 with a removal device for a gasoline engine. The removal device comprises a storage pot 2 , a fuel pump 3 , a feed line 4 , a return line 5 , a delivery line 6 , a drive line 7 , a first suction jet pump 8 and a second suction jet pump 9 . The fuel tank 1 is saddle-shaped and has a first tank chamber 11 and a second tank chamber 12 , which are separated from one another by a curvature 13 of the tank bottom 14 protruding into the tank interior. The two tank chambers 11 and 12 are connected to each other via the connection area 15 of the tank interior located above the bulge 13 .
The storage pot 2 is arranged on the bottom of the first tank chamber 11 . The fuel pump 3 is positioned in it and delivers fuel, namely gasoline, to an engine via the feed line 4 . At the bottom of the first tank chamber 11 , the suction jet pump 8 is further arranged, which fes 2 promotes in the lower region of the reservoir. The return line 5 is led into the second tank chamber and opens there - approximately near the ground - into the drive line 7 connecting the two suction jet pumps 8 , 9 on the output side. The delivery line 6 is connected to the outlet of the suction jet pump 9 . The delivery line 6 extends into the first tank chamber 11 and opens there into the reservoir 2 . The output of the first suction jet pump 8 is formed by an opening near the bottom in the reservoir 2 . A check valve 17 is integrated in the first suction jet pump 8 . A ventilation opening 18 is arranged in the delivery line 6 . The ventilation opening 18 is located at a position which is higher than the fuel level 19 in the tank chambers 11 , 12 which is predetermined by the height of the tank bottom curvature.
In vehicle operation, the fuel pump 3 delivers gasoline to the engine via the feed line 4 . Excess gasoline runs back through the return line 5 . The return line opens into the drive line 7 in the manner of a T-branch. It is thus via one end of the return line 7 gasoline to the Saugstrahlpum pe 9 and over the curvature 13 extending section of the Treiblei device 7 gasoline to the suction jet pump 8 . The amount of gasoline pumped out of the second tank chamber by the suction jet pump 9 is passed together with the return amount via the delivery line 6 to the reservoir. While a balance between the two liquid quantities in the tank chambers 11 and 12 can take place via the connection region 15 when the fuel tank 1 is filled, this is no longer possible when the fuel quantity has dropped below the level 19 . It can then occur that the tank chamber 11 has a higher fuel level than the tank chamber 12 during operation. These different levels are now maintained in that, on the one hand, the fuel column contained in the delivery line 6 tears off, since air is sucked in via the ventilation hole. The siphon effect of the Förderlei device 6 is thus canceled. In the case of the drive line 7 , the check valve 17 prevents fuel from flowing out of the storage pot via the drive line into the second tank chamber 12 .
Fig. 2 zeigt den Kraftstofftank 1a eines Dieselfahrzeuges. Fig. 2 shows the fuel tank 1 a of a diesel vehicle. Here are the suction jet pumps 8 , 9 driven by the flow. For this purpose, a section 4 a of the feed line connected to the fuel pump 3 opens out in the manner of a T-branch into the drive line 7 , which connects the two suction jet pumps 8 , 9 to one another from the outlet side. In the second tank chamber 12 , a section 4 b of the supply line leading to the diesel engine branches off from the drive line 7 . The return line 5 a opens into the reservoir 2 . The prevention of the lowering of the fuel level in the first tank chamber 11 is also prevented here by a check valve 17 in the suction jet pump 8 and by a ventilation opening 18 in the delivery line.
Fig. 3 shows a cross section through the lower region of the storage cup 2 with a flanged thereto eductor. 8 The essentially tubular section-shaped suction jet pump 8 has a front constricted flow channel 20 , into which a nozzle 21 delivers fuel. The suction chamber 22 located in front of the narrowed flow channel 20 is connected to the tank interior via a sieve-like opening 23 . Fuel is sucked in through the opening 23 , particles which are larger than the individual openings of the opening 23 being retained. The drive line 7 or an inlet channel 24 provided by the suction jet pump 8 serves to supply fuel. An insert 25 , which comprises an annular valve seat 26 and a closing membrane 27 made of elastomer material, is located in the inlet channel 24 . The valve seat is molded onto the inside of a pipe section 28 . Radially inwardly extending arms 29 , which carry a central fixing eye 30 , are also formed on this inside. A fixing pin 31 projecting centrally from the closing membrane 27 is positively inserted in this fixing eye. A seal of the insert 25 is carried to the inner wall of the inlet channel 24 through an inset in a circumferential groove of the insert 25 like tring 32nd The insert 25 is finally fixed in the axial direction by a further, inset in the input channel 24 and over a circumferential sealing ring 32 a abgedichte th and also essentially tube-shaped insert portion 32nd In operation, fuel first flows in the direction of arrow 34 through a section of the fixing eye 30 that is radially widened relative to the fixing pin 31 and through the non-return spaces between the arms 29 according to the arrow 35 through the check valve 17 . The fuel is then fed through the nozzle 21 into the narrowed flow channel 20 . This ent creates a vacuum in the suction chamber 22 and fuel is sucked in through the openings 23 from the first tank chamber 11 . The edge regions of the closing membrane 27 are lifted off the valve seat 26 . When the vehicle is not in operation or the fuel pump is at rest, the edge area of the closing membrane 27 presses against the valve seat 26 and prevents fuel from flowing back into the first tank chamber 11 .
