Zigarrenabschneider mit einem wenigstens eine Durchsteck­ öffnung für eine Zigarre bildenden Gehäuse, mit wenigstens einem Messer, das in einer Ebene senkrecht zur Durchsteck­ richtung die Durchstecköffnung wenigstens in einer Stel­ lung verschließend über ein Betätigungsorgan translato­ risch bewegbar gelagert ist, wobei das Messer als Schneid­ scheibe ausgebildet ist, die über das Betätigungsorgan wenigstens bei Zustellung der Durchstecköffnung gleich­ zeitig in Drehung versetzbar ist, und wobei die Schneid­ scheibe über einen Zahntrieb antreibbar ist, da­ durch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schneid­ scheibe mit einem sägezahnförmigen Wellenschliff versehen ist, der mit dem Zahntrieb (6a, 6b) zusammenwirkt.1.
