Abstract
Description
The invention relates to voltage converters for generating a Output voltage from an input voltage with a three Corner generator, which is an input of a comparator means opens the output voltage at its other input is fed back, the one of the comparator means switched amplifier arrangement and a smoothing agent he is witnessed.
Such a voltage converter is known from US-A-5,519,599 known. A comparator compares the feedback off output voltage with the span supplied by the triangular generator voltage signal and delivers a square wave signal at the output, whose Duration corresponds to the length of time during which the triangular chip voltage is above the output voltage. That from the comparator The delivered output signal controls one in the primary circuit Transformer arranged first MOSFET and a secondary side connected in parallel to the transformer MOSFET. To regulate the output voltage, the output voltage applied to a control element, which with increasing Output voltage a falling reference voltage to which he most input of the comparator is. This will increase the duration the rectangular pulses generated by the comparator are shortened and the Output voltage reset to smaller values. By the known voltage converters are almost DC voltages lossless convertible.
A disadvantage of the known circuit is the lack of precision sion of the ratio of input voltage to output voltage nung. The known circuit is therefore not for conversion of reference voltages in measuring circuits.
The invention is based on this prior art based on the task of a suitable for measuring circuits To create voltage converters that are made with great accuracy a given input voltage a given off output voltage generated.
This object is achieved in that the Triangle generator includes a rectangle generator that one push-pull output stage formed by field effect transistors controls that of a derived from the input voltage Reference voltage is supplied and that for converting the Square-wave signal into a triangular signal using a convertible low-pass filter is connected downstream.
Such a triangular generator produces a triangular chip with high symmetry and small drifts. So is also the pulse duration of the pulses generated by the comparator great accuracy constant. This in turn means that the Output voltage with great accuracy regarding the on output voltage is kept constant. The circuit is suitable thus in particular for generating reference voltages in measuring circuits.
Further expedient refinements of the invention are counter the dependent claims.
Es zeigen:An exemplary embodiment of the invention is described below the attached drawing explained. Show it:

Fig. 3 shows the circuit of another embodiment egg nes in the compensation current sensor of Fig. 1 usable voltage converter.
In Fig. 1, a compensation current sensor 1 is shown, which serves to determine the current flowing through a primary winding 2 . For this purpose, a Mag is provided netkerns 3 is a magnetic field probe 4 in the region, which detects the magnetic flux in the magnetic core tables. 3 The magnetic field probe 4 acts on a sensor circuit 5 , which controls a pulse width modulating driver output stage 6 . The pulse-width modulated pulses of the driver amplifier 6 rain in a secondary winding 7 at a secondary current, through which the primary current is from erzeug te magnetic flux in the magnetic core 3 compensated to zero. In order to be able to measure primary currents regardless of the direction in the compensation current sensor 1 , one must be able to drive compensation currents flowing in both directions in the secondary winding 7 . In a compensation current sensor, not shown, this is accomplished in that the driver output stage is designed as a symmetrical H-bridge. A sym metric H-bridge has the disadvantage, however, that the measuring resistor had to be designed as a floating burden for measuring the compensation current. A differential amplifier is also required in order to be able to detect the voltage drop across the measuring resistor. However, the differential amplifier can be saved if the compensation current from the driver output stage 6 is provided and a measuring resistor 8 is connected to a reference voltage source 9 , which provides half the supply voltage at its output. At a measuring output 10 there is then an output voltage, the value of which contains information about the amplitude and direction of the current through the primary winding 2 . The measurement output 10 is usually connected to an analog-digital converter. One then reaches a synchronism of compensation current sensor 1 and analog-to-digital converter by setting the maximum value of the primary current equal to the reference voltage U ref and the zero value of the primary current equal to half the reference voltage.
In Fig. 2 an embodiment of the reference voltage source 9 is shown. The intention is to integrate the part of the circuit surrounded by the dashed line into an ASIC. The reference voltage source 9 shown in FIG. 2 comprises a pulse generator 11 which clocks a T-flip-flop 12 at a high frequency, typically 1 MHz. This T flip-flop 12 switches its output at the time of the positive edge of the square wave signal supplied by the pulse generator 11 . A square-wave signal with a duty cycle of exactly 0.5 is thus obtained at the output of the T flip-flop 12 . The T flip-flop 12 controls a push-pull output stage formed by field effect transistors 13 and 14 , which sends a square-wave signal with the amplitude of the reference voltage applied to an input 15 reference voltage U ref via an RC low-pass filter formed by an ohmic resistor 16 and a capacitor 17 . The value of the ohmic resistor 16 is selected to be substantially greater than the internal resistances of the field effect transistors 13 and 14 in the conductive state. This results in almost the same constant constant for charging and discharging the capacitor 17 . Thus, at a first non-inverting input of a comparator 18 connected to the RC low-pass filter, there is a voltage whose DC voltage component is exactly at U ref / 2 and which has a triangular AC voltage component with an amplitude in the range of a few μV. The comparator 18 finally drives an amplifier 19 which is followed by an LC low-pass filter formed by a choke 20 and a capacitor 21 . The LC low-pass filter sifts the DC voltage component from the square-wave signal supplied by the amplifier 19 and smoothes the output voltage at an output 22 . The output voltage is fed back via a feedback network formed by ohmic resistors 23 and 24 and capacitors 25 and 26 to the inverting input of the comparator 18 . The feedback network formed by the ohmic resistors 23 and 24 and the capacitors 25 and 26 serves to correct the amplitude and phase response and in this way to ensure an adequate phase reserve.
In the case of direct voltage, the voltage at the inverting input of the comparator 18 is equal to the output voltage. If the output 22 is now loaded, the actual value present at the inverting input of the comparator 18 changes, so that a pulse-pause ratio is set at the output of the comparator 18 , which is amplified via the amplifier 19 and compensates for the load current .
A voltage value thus arises at the output 22 of the reference voltage source, which corresponds with great accuracy to half the value of the reference voltage U ref . This is ensured in particular when the internal resistances of the field effect transistors 13 and 14 are substantially smaller than the value of the ohmic resistor 16 .
Fig. 3 shows the circuit of a voltage regulator 27 , which generates an output voltage U A from a supply voltage U E. The input voltage U E can be, for example, a voltage of + 15 V, which is available for the energy supply of the compensation current sensor 1 . The voltage regulator 27 then converts the input voltage U E into an output voltage U A of, for example, + 5 V, the output voltage U A itself being able to be used to supply the voltage regulator 27 with voltage.
Like the reference voltage source 9 shown in FIG. 2, the voltage regulator 27 has a triangular generator which consists of the pulse generator 11 , the T flip-flop 12 , the field effect transistors 13 and 14 and the RC formed by the ohmic resistor 16 and the capacitor 17 . Low pass exists. The output signal of the triangular generator is present at the non-inverting input of the comparator 18 , which, in contrast to the circuit from FIG. 2, is followed by an inverting amplifier 28 . These components of the circuit can be located within an ASIC component indicated by the dashed line in FIG. 3. Such ASIC components usually have at their output a protective circuit indicated by diodes 29 and 30 in FIG. 3. At the output of the ASIC device is a circuit formed by a bipolar transistor 31 and an ohmic resistor 32 circuit of the type of a constant current source is ruled out. This constant current source is bridged by an acceleration capacitor 33 and controls the base of a wide ren bipolar transistor 34 . The collector of the bipolar transistor 34 is connected to ground via an ohmic resistor 36 connected in series with a capacitor 35 . This RC element prevents oscillation when the bipolar transistor 34 is switched off . A freewheeling diode 37 connected in parallel with this RC element protects the bipolar transistor 34 against voltage peaks which are generated by an LC low-pass filter from a choke 38 and a capacitor 39 . The LC low pass is used to smooth the output voltage. From the output voltage at the output 22 is finally fed back via a ge of ohmic resistors 40 and 41 and a capacitor 42 formed feedback network to the inverting input of the comparator 18 . In order to reduce the voltage at the push-pull stage and the base of the bipolar transistor 31 to the value of the output voltage, the input 15 is followed by a voltage divider formed by an ohmic resistor 43 and a limiting means 44 .
In the DC voltage case, the voltage at the inverting input of the comparator 18 is equal to the output voltage multi-multiplied with the divider ratio of the resistors 40 and 41 formed by the ohmic resistors. Via the ratio of the values of the ohmic resistors 40 and 41 , the level of the output voltage U A at the output 22 can thus be set. The capacitor 42 provides stability through a pole in the control loop. If the output 22 is loaded, the output voltage U A at the capacitor 39 drops and the actual value at the inverting input of the comparator 18 becomes smaller. At the output of the comparator 18, a stable les pulse-pause ratio is one that stor through the inverting amplifier 28 via the speed-up capacitor 33 and by the ohmic resistor 32 and the bipolar Transistor 31 constant current source formed stor bipolar Transistor 34 turns on for a short time . This sets a larger DC voltage component at the collector of the bipolar transistor 34 , which regulates the voltage drop across the capacitor 39 . The speed-up capacitor 33 is used, which immediately pass when turning off the transistor 34 at the output of the ASIC component voltage applied to the base of the Transistor stors 34 and to provide for rapid switching off of the transistor 34th Since the base of the Transistor 34 stors electrode connected to the speed-up capacitor 33 in the switched-on state of the transistor 34 is at about 13.5 V, when switching off the voltage at the base of the transistor 34 may be briefly increase to around 18 V. However, since charge can flow through the collector of transistor 31 , this voltage subsequently drops to values around 13 V, so that transistor 34 is switched on just as quickly when the output of the ASIC component changes to 0 V. During the rest of the time, the base of the transistor 34 is held by the constant current source from the transistor 31 and the ohmic resistor 32 at the desired potential.
When transistor 34 is switched off , the current continues to flow through inductor 38 via free-wheeling diode 37 . The voltage at the cathode of the freewheeling diode 37 then changes to negative values. Since there is still a voltage of +5 V at the output, the current flows against the voltage. After the magnetic field is reduced in the choke 38 , therefore, a small current flows in the opposite direction in the blocking capacitance of the freewheeling diode 37 , which stimulates an oscillation process when switching off. In order to prevent this oscillation process, the ohmic resistor 36 and the capacitor 35 are present. This measure results in a particularly smooth output voltage U A. However, the ohmic resistor 36 and the capacitance 35 also lead to losses. If a less smooth output voltage U A is accepted, the ohmic resistor 36 and the capacitor 35 can therefore be dispensed with.
In addition, the constant current source also ensures a safe switching on of the voltage regulator 27 . When it is switched on, the ASIC component has no supply voltage since 27 0 V are present at output 22 of the voltage regulator. However, the input voltage U E is independent of the supply voltage U A and is available immediately after switching on. The input clamping voltage U E is connected to the base of transistor 31st A small base current thus flows through the ohmic resistor 32 and the internal protective diode 30 . As a result, the transistor 31 becomes conductive and opens the transistor 34 with its collector current. When the supply voltage of +5 V at output 22 is reached, the control is taken over by the ASIC component.
By the voltage regulator 27 shown in Fig. 3, the output voltage U A is generated almost loss-free from the input voltage U E. It should also be emphasized that the voltage supply to the voltage regulator 27 takes place via its own output voltage U A. In addition, a safe ramp up of the circuit is guaranteed at the start.
