Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a process for the utilization of Koh Oil dioxide from chemical processes by assimilation with the help of photosynthesis to biomass and oxygen.
As is well known, chemical processes such as lime burning deliver alongside calcium oxide also in considerable amounts of carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide has so far not been used uses directed into the atmosphere and thus contributes to the so-called greenhouse effect at. A further amount of carbon dioxide is formed, for example, when chemical Conversion of carbons, hydrocarbons and carbohydrates by Oxi dation. If this carbon dioxide is collected in the form of metal carbonates, can be heated by heating the metal carbonates relatively pure and concentrated Koh Gain Lioxide.
While lime burning takes place at temperatures of around 900 ° C and is therefore relatively energy-intensive, there are a number of other metal carbonates that decompose even at significantly lower temperatures and split off carbon dioxide. In principle, lithium hydroxide, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, lead oxide and cadmium oxide are also suitable for collecting and binding carbon dioxide. Zinc oxide appears to be particularly suitable, since the zinc carbonate decomposes again at temperatures of 300 ° C and delivers more or less pure CO 2 .
stoff. So finden unter diesen Bedingungen beispielsweise folgende Reaktionen statt:
In addition to the widespread oxidation of carbon, hydrocarbons, carbohydrates, namely conventional combustion, CO 2 also forms in alkali hydroxide melts with the formation of alkali carbonate, alkali hydrides and hydrogen. For example, the following reactions take place under these conditions:
3 NaOH + C → Na2CO3 + NaH + H2 (1) oder
3 NaOH + C → Na 2 CO 3 + NaH + H 2 (1) or
9 NaOH + C3H8 → 3 Na2CO3 + 3 NaH + 7 H2 (2)
9 NaOH + C 3 H 8 → 3 Na 2 CO 3 + 3 NaH + 7 H 2 (2)
9 LiOH + C3H8 → 3 Li2CO3 + 3 LiH + 7 H2 (5)9 LiOH + C 3 H 8 → 3 Li 2 CO 3 + 3 LiH + 7 H 2 (5)
If desired, these carbonates can also be combined with other metal oxides or hy droxides are implemented, the separation of hydrogen and carbon dioxide can be done particularly easily with the help of zinc oxide or other zinc salts.
Since these reactions are reversible, the formation of zinc carbo, for example nat at room temperature and the formed at temperatures of about 300 ° C. Zinc carbonate can be broken down again into zinc oxide and carbon dioxide.
The object of the invention is to derive this from chemical processes utilizing carbon dioxide by assimilation with the help of photosynthesis, producing biomass and oxygen.
This object is achieved in that suspensions of algae in stirred biore Actuators made of a material that is permeable to UV light with simultaneous use are grown by sources of sunlight and artificial light and the Kohlendi oxide or gas mixture enriched with carbon dioxide stirred into the suspension is, the suspension enriched with carbon dioxide on the vessel wall and the Artificial light sources and the depleted in terms of carbon dioxide Gas mixture optionally with the addition of further carbon dioxide in the next bioreactor is directed.
The light necessary for photosynthesis is partly from sunlight and partially supplied by artificial light sources. The sunlight can mainly through the UV light permeable material penetrate the jacket of the reactor. Suitable is for example, the polyacrylate glass (Plexiglas®), which is transparent to UV light.
The energy for the artificial light sources inside the bioreactors is preferred delivered by photovoltaic. In addition, additional energy can be used to generate electricity be obtained by burning the reac in some of the above tion of hydrogen or metal hydrides.
The carbon dioxide necessary for photosynthesis is preferably obtained from the burning of lime or the thermal decomposition of metal carbonates. These metal carbonates can be obtained, for example, from the thermal Implementation of carbon-containing organic substances or residues under Exclusion of air in alkali hydroxide melts with simultaneous formation of metal hydrides and hydrogen. These metal hydrides and this hydrogen can then either to generate electricity for the internal artificial light sources of the bioreactors be used or used in some other way, because both Hydrogen and metal hydrides are economically valuable materials.

Stirring the algae suspensions, Einrich tion for introducing carbon dioxide and / or enriched with carbon dioxide. Gas, facilities for discharging gas depleted of carbon dioxide, Facilities for the introduction of nutrient solution, facilities for the derivation of the Algae suspension and, if necessary, facilities for controlling the rest Bioreactor facilities.
The bioreactor preferably has a conical bottom with a device for the introduction of carbon dioxide and / or gas enriched with carbon dioxide. This configuration prevents unwanted settling of the algae suspension in the lower funnel and at the same time leads to a whirling and stirring of the Suspension.
