Abstract

An anti-dazzle device combining the dipped headlight and high-beam light in a motor vehicle head-lamp reflector, enables any selected configuration of the light distribution of the head-lamp to be realized. The switchover between dipped- and high-beam, as well as beam-width adjustment, is controlled by a liquid-crystal display (LCD) located in the light-beam path.

Description

It is known to design automotive headlights so that the low beam and high beam functions in one are united towards the reflector. With conventional reflectors Ren and filament light bulbs two-filament bulbs are used the dipped filament is partially shaded. Become Projection headlights with arc lamps used, see above other techniques are used. In addition to development of reflectors that can hold two lamps Known solutions to push aperture in the beam path or to mechanically ver so the lamp in the longitudinal direction push that in connection with a suitable reflector the low beam and high beam functions in one glow throwers are united.

The invention specified in the claim is Underlying problem, low beam and high beam in one re to combine flector so that any configuration the brightness distribution becomes possible.

This problem is outlined in the claim Introduction of a liquid crystal display into the beam headlamp release.

The advantages achieved with the invention are in particular special in that the construction effort is significantly reduced; there is no external headlight range adjustment. It will only a design for right and left-hand traffic is required and the The need for only one reflector allows flexibility in the  Body design. The headlights can be used when not in use blackened or activated by activating the LCD screen when using colored displays, whoever is colored the. By feeding sensor values such as B. Lenk impact, speed and ambient brightness the brightness distribution of the headlights flexibly the driving situation can be adjusted. So in addition to the Re regulation of the lighting range, the lighting in curves and when driving on the highway, the illumination from above the road signs easily using a light wedge can be achieved. There are also soft light-dark transitions and continuous dimming of the headlamp is possible. Due to the elimination of mechanical components, a high System robustness guaranteed. The compact design with integrated headlamp leveling makes the one Arc lamps can be used in two-wheelers.

An embodiment for a projection headlight with xenon arc lamp is shown in the drawing and is described in more detail below.

It shows Fig. 1, the arrangement of the modules in the beam path. The radiation emitted by the lamp is bundled by the condenser and reflector. The heat filter in the condenser system prevents excessive thermal stress on the LCD screen. This modulates the brightness distribution of the light beam, which is then mirrored onto the surrounding area to be projected through the objective lens integrated in the headlight glass.

It shows Fig. 2 the diagram of the signal processing. Depending on the driver's wishes (dipped / main beam, driving on the motorway), pre-programmed parameters (left / right traffic, brightness transitions) and sensor values (steering angle, speed, body tilt, outside brightness), the corresponding shading distribution of the LCD screen is determined controlling image memory activated. The LCD screen shows a possible way of designing the pixels in the drawing.
