Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and device for speed measurement of components from an electrically conductive material according to the Preamble of claims 1 and 2.
Steel is formed into strands during casting, the dimensions of which are approximately 165 × 165 × 10000 mm 3 . These strands are fed to a rolling mill for further processing. A discontinuous material reduction takes place during the rolling processes at the rolling stations, the cross sections of the strands being reduced to 5 to 10 mm. The speeds of the strands are increased from initially 0.1 m / s to 100 m / s during the rolling process. The measurement of the speed of each strand is an important measure in the monitoring and control of the rolling process. The mass flow can be determined from the speed of the strands and their dimensions, both values must be measured. This value is in turn used to regulate the speed of the strands at the rolling stations to be passed.
To determine the speed of the strands, for example, opto electrical measuring devices or laser measuring devices used. Here, the Velocity using the cross-correlation method or using the double determined by effect.
Methods are also known in which the magnetic properties of the Strands are used. For this purpose, read and write heads are used, which are equipped with an egg ner electrical evaluation device and control circuits for determining the magneti are provided. However, this method is only suitable for ferritic works material, and therefore only for processes below the Curie temperature.
The three processes described above are those prevailing in a rolling mill exposed to very large disturbances under the operating conditions.
To measure the speed of conductive liquids, a magnetic inductive flow measurement applied. This method uses the inductor principle in which a voltage is induced in an electrically conductive material is when this is moved by a magnetic field that is perpendicular to the disturbance direction of the liquid is aligned. The liquid is passed through a pipe which is lined with an insulation material. In the wall of the pipe are lowered electrodes arranged to the right of the magnetic field and the direction of disturbance of the liquid net. A voltage can be tapped at these, which leads to the mean current flow rate of the liquid is proportional. With this procedure the Determination of the measured values with the help of electrodes. Such contact, however, can measuring the speed of steel strands during rolling process can not be produced.
The invention is therefore based on the object of demonstrating a method with which be the speed of components made of an electrically conductive material can be measured without contact, such as creating a device with which Procedure can be carried out.
The first part of the task is solved by the features of patent claim 1.
The second part of the task is solved by the features of claim 2.
In the contactless measurement of the speed of components made of an electrically conductive material with the method according to the invention, a magnetic field is formed perpendicular to the direction of movement of the component and the speed of the component is determined from the instantaneous size of the resulting magnetic field. When measuring the speed of steel strands passing through a rolling mill, the strands have a temperature of about 1100 ° C during the rolling process. This lies above the Curie point, so that paramagnetic properties can be assumed. The specific electrical resistance ρ is 1.15 Ωmm 2 / m. The magnetic field that passes through each strand creates an eddy current in it, which in turn creates a magnetic field. This second magnetic field can be opposite to the first magnetic field or have the same pole direction, so that this leads to a weakening or to a strengthening of the first magnetic field. The size of the resulting magnetic field is proportional to the speed of the string. The size of the resulting magnetic field is measured. The measurement signal is used to control the speed of the strand.
Further inventive features are disclosed in the dependent claims.
The invention is based on schematic drawings he he purifies.

Fig. 3 eine weitere Ausführungsform der erfindungsgemäßen Meßvorrichtung. Fig. 3 shows a further embodiment of the measuring device according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a measuring device 1 with a, a magnetic field generating device 2, a magnetizable member 3, a sensor and evaluation unit 5 and a guide element 6. The component 2 is formed in the game Ausführungsbei shown here as a permanent magnet. With its help, a magnetic field is generated which passes through the component 3 . The component 3 consists in the exemplary embodiment shown here from two L-shaped partial elements 3 A and 3 B, which are made of iron, and have a rectangular cross section. The two sub-elements 3 A and 3 B are arranged so that they lie in one plane. The free ends 3 C, 3 D of their two sections 3 E and 3 F are arranged opposite one another at a defined distance. Between these two ends 3 C and 3 D, the guide element 6 is arranged, the lateral boundary surfaces of which are only a very small distance from the ends 3 C and 3 D. The guide element 6 is formed as a quaderför shaped housing and open at the top and at both ends. It is made of an electrically non-conductive, non-magnetizable material and is also thermally insulated. Its dimensions are chosen so that in its inner region 6 I a strand 10 made of steel can be transported using a conveyor (not shown here). The strand 10 is moved by the guide element 6 so that it is at the same height with the ends 3 C and 3 D of the component 3 . This conveyor is part of a rolling mill in which the strand 10 is processed in the manner described above. Such rolling mills have been known for a long time. They are therefore not described in more detail here.
The permanent magnet 2 is in direct contact with the second ends 3 E and 3 F of the sub-elements 3 A and 3 B. If the strand 10 is moved by the guide element 6 , it is the magnetic field that is between the free ends 3 C and 3 D of the sub-elements 3 A and 3 B has formed, penetrated substantially vertically. As a result, an eddy current is generated in the strand 10 . This in turn generates a second magnetic field which is directed opposite the first magnetic field or has the same pole direction. This changes the first magnetic field. The resulting size of the first magnetic field is proportional to the size of the speed at which the strand 10 is moved. On the first end 3 C of the component 3 , a plate 7 made of an electrically non-conductive and non-magnetic material is BEFE Stigt. The sensor and evaluation unit 5 is mounted on this plate 7 . With this sensor and evaluation unit 5 , the size of the resulting magnetic field is continuously determined. In order to optimize the measurement result, further sensor and evaluation units (not shown here) are installed in this way in the area of the ends 3 C and 3 D. With the help of the sensor and evaluation units, the temperature at the ends 3 C, 3 D is also measured. The sensor and evaluation units are all designed to compensate for the effects of temperatures on the measured values. This ensures that the measurement signals of all sensor and evaluation units, which are used to control the speed of a strand 10 , have no partial factors that are dependent on the temperature.
The measuring device 1 shown in FIG. 2 is essentially identical in construction to the measuring device shown in FIG. 1 and explained in the associated description. The same components are therefore also provided with the same reference symbols. The only difference is that the magnetizable component 3 is formed in one piece and the magnetic field in the component 3 is generated with the aid of a coil 2 . This is wrapped around the component 3 and be connected to a DC voltage source 8 . It can also be connected to a pulsed DC voltage source or an AC voltage source (not shown here).
In the illustrated in Fig. 3 measuring device 1, the differences compared to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 and direction in the corresponding description discussed Meßvor 1 only in that the two partial elements have 3 A and 3 B of the component 3 under schiedliche forms. As can be seen in FIG. 3, the sub-element 3 A has a U-shape, while the second sub-element 3 B is L-shaped. Here, the guide element 6 is installed so that the free end 3 C of the sub-element 3 A is opposite the underside of the guide element 6 , while the free end 3 D of the second sub-element 3 B is arranged at a short distance from the first lateral Be boundary surface of the guide element 6 is. With the help of the sensor and evaluation unit 5 , the size of the resulting magnetic field is also measured here, which forms when the strand 10 is moved by the guide element. The speed of the strand 10 in the rolling mill (not shown here) is controlled with the aid of the determined measurement signals.
To amplify the measuring effect, two of the measuring devices 1 described in FIGS . 1, 2 and 3 can also be used, which are then preferably arranged one behind the other at a given distance (not shown here). The Ma gnetfelder the two measuring devices are designed so that their polar directions are opposite to each other. In this case, the sensor and evaluation devices only have to be arranged on one of the two measuring devices.
