Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of Claim 1 and a device according to the preamble of Claim 7.
Such a method or device are known from US-A-5 369 980. There is the Kon concentration of a paramagnetic gas component, e.g. B. Sauer substance, nitrogen dioxide or nitrogen monoxide, in a gas mix a body vibrated by the gas mixture capable of being arranged in the magnetic field of a permanent magnet. The body is held on a metal strip that the magnetic field crosses perpendicular to the field direction and from egg through an alternating current. As a result, it swings the metal strip with the body attached to it with the Frequency of the alternating current, the oscillation by the gas mixture surrounding the vibrating body is damped. In contrast to the other gas fractions in the gas mixture, which, like most gases, are diamagnetic, become para magnetic gas components attracted by the magnetic field and around compacted the body around, so that the damping of the Schwin the concentration of the paramagnetic gas components is dependent. The metrological determination of this concentration accordingly takes place through recording and evaluation suitable vibration parameters, such as. B. the vibration frequency, the quality of the vibration system, the vibration amplitude or the energy that is necessary to the Schwin maintenance of the body. For this, the in the vibrating metal strips and induced voltage evaluated.
According to the invention, the concentration measurement is carried out para magnetic gas fractions by that specified in claim 1 Method or the device specified in claim 7. There at is due to the changing magnetic field in the area of the vibrating body change accordingly generates the partial pressure of the paramagnetic gas components, being due to the inhomogeneous around the body Magnetic field at different parts of the body different forces act on them. Depending on the The body therefore becomes more or more ambient pressure conditions less displaced from its rest position and start to vibrate excited. The concentration of paramagnetic Gas fractions by recording and evaluating suitable Schwin determined parameters.
The field strength of the magnetic field can be within the scope of the invention be varied periodically, the magnetic field preferably is generated as an alternating magnetic field. Serves as a magnet arrangement in this case, an electric powered from an alternating current source magnet.
The changing magnetic field does not only effect it gripping vibration of the body, but can also un desired alternating voltages in the for detection and off induce evaluation of the vibrating device. The influence of these AC voltages on the detection of the Vibration of the body can be done by suitable filter or Compensation measures are eliminated. Such measures are advantageously not required if the Field strength of the magnetic field is changed in pulses and the Vibration parameters can be recorded in the pulse pauses.
Regarding the vibratory arrangement of the body and the acquisition and evaluation of suitable vibration parameters there are different possibilities within the scope of the invention keiten. So the body can work on a flexible element be kept, the deflection with the help of suitable Mit tel, such as one arranged on the flexible element or this piezo element or a strain gauge element that is detected.
Alternatively, the deflection of the vibrating body be optically detected, for example a light beam from a mirror arranged on the vibrating body a light sensor with local resolution is steered.
After all, the body can do as in the prior art a metal band crossing the magnetic field, the current induced in the metal strip being sensed and off is evaluated. In addition, other, e.g. B. capacitive and inductive, measuring methods conceivable.
To further explain the invention, the following is based on the figures of the drawing are referred to; in detail gene:

Fig. 4 is a block diagram of a device for magnetic field generation and for detecting and evaluating the vibrations of the body.
Fig. 1 shows a magnet arrangement consisting of an electric magnet 1 with two opposing pole pieces 2 and 3 , a winding 4 and a current source 5 connected to it , here an AC voltage source. In the area of the magnetic field 6 generated between the two pole pieces 2 and 3 , a measurement chamber 7 , which is only indicated here, is arranged, which contains a gas mixture with parametric gas fractions to be determined with regard to their concentration, e.g. B. contains oxygen. In the measuring chamber 7 in a region between the pole pieces 2 and 3 , in which the magnetic field 6 is homogeneous, a body 8 , here a glass ball, is arranged capable of vibrating. For this purpose, the body 8 is held at the free end of a flexible element 9 , which is firmly clamped in a holder 10 at its other end. On the flexurally elastic element 9 is a piezo element 11 or alternatively a strain gauge element, not shown here, to which a device 12 for detecting and evaluating vibrations of the body 8 is connected.
The paramagnetic gas components of the gas mixture in the measuring chamber 7 are attracted by the magnetic field 6 and there sealed ver, so that in the area of the magnetic field 6 there is a higher partial pressure, which is higher, the greater the field strength. Since the body 8 is arranged in a region of the magnetic field 6 , in which it is inhomogeneous, act on the body 8 at different points on this under differently high forces caused by the partial pressure of the paramagnetic gas components. The body 8 is therefore pushed out of the magnetic field 6 , which leads to a bending of the flexible element 9 , which is detected by means of the piezo element 11 and the device 12 connected to it. Since the electromagnet 1 is fed from the voltage source 5 with a periodically varying current, here an alternating current I∼, the magnetic field 6 is an alternating magnetic field, so that the partial pressure conditions in the measuring chamber 7 between the pole pieces 2 and 3 vary periodically and thus stimulate the body 8 to vibrate. The strength of this vibration is dependent on the concentration of the para magnetic gas components in the gas mixture, which is detected and evaluated from the bending of the flexible element 9 .
Fig. 2 shows an example of an alternative detection of the vibration of the body 8 , which is held here in the same way as in the embodiment of FIG. 1 on a flexurally elastic element 9, which is firmly clamped in a holder 10 . Instead of the piezo element 11 or the alternative strain measuring element, a mirror 13 is arranged here on the flexurally elastic element 9 , which reflects a light beam 15 coming from a light source 14 onto a light sensor 17 consisting of several sensor elements 16 lying next to one another, to which an evaluation device 18 is arranged . Depending on the deflection of the body 8 , the light beam 15 is reflected on different sensor elements 16 of the light sensor 17 . The mirror 13 can of course also be formed directly on the body 8 or as part of the body 8 .
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, the body 8 is held on a metal band 19 which crosses the magnetic field 6 transversely to the field direction. The metal band 19 is held at its two ends on elastic suspensions 20 and 21 so that it can be deflected transversely to its longitudinal direction. At the two ends of the metal strip 19 an evaluation device 22 is connected, detects voltages induced in the metal band 19 clamping the vibration of the body 8 and thus vibrations of the metal strip are caused nineteenth
In the block diagram according to FIG. 4, 23 denotes a device that detects the vibrations of the body 8 and, depending on the design, the piezo element 11 or strain gauge shown in FIG. 1, the light sensor 17 shown in FIG. 2 or the one shown in FIG metal strip shown. 3 responds ent 19th The device 23 is an evaluation device 24 corresponding to the one shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 A 12 , 18 and 22 downstream. The alternating current source 5 feeds the winding 4 of the electromagnet 1 with the alternating current I∼. In the embodiments of the device according to the invention shown in FIGS . 1 and 3, the alternating magnetic field 6 acts not only on the desired steering of the body 8 , but also induces in the measuring circuit between the device 23 and the device 24 , that is to say, for. B. in the case of FIG. 1 between the piezo element 11 and the evaluation device 12 , an undesirable AC voltage with the frequency of the AC current I∼. In contrast, the frequency of change of the partial pressure of the paramagnetic gas components in the area of the magnetic field 6 and thus the oscillation frequency of the body 8 is twice as large, so that the disturbing AC voltage component in the measuring circuit can be filtered out with simple means. In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 4, this is done by supplying the alternating current I zugeführt to the device 24 and subtracting it there from the signal from the device 23 . The measurement of the concentration of the paramagnetic gas components is carried out by evaluating suitable vibration parameters, e.g. B. the frequency or amplitude of the vibrations of the body 8. In the embodiment shown, the frequency of the AC voltage source 5 is controlled as a function of the detected vibration frequency of the body 8 and set to a fixed frequency value. For this purpose, the output signal from the device 24 via a signal path 25 or, alternatively, the output signal from the device 23 via a signal path 26 indicated here in dashed lines is supplied to the current source 5 as a control signal. The concentration of the paramagnetic gas component in the gas mixture is determined from the amplitude of the vibration or from the power source 5 to maintain the vibration energy.
The influence of the alternating voltage induced in the measuring circuit on the detection and evaluation of the vibrations of the body 8 can also be eliminated in that the alternating current I∼ is generated in pulses and the detection and evaluation of the vibrations takes place in the pulse pauses.
