Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a welded connection between two adjacent metal parts.
It is known to build metal parts using conventional welding techniques to add part. Containers such as, for example, can be used in vehicle construction Fuel tanks, compressed air boilers, air filters, exhaust systems etc. ge be manufactured. Parameters such as the materials of the Components, the requirements for the weld seam and the required productivity the production of this weld, the selection of the respective welding process. In container construction, for example, the welding of the longitudinal seam is essentially designed as an I-seam on the butt joint of the assembled components (boards). Here play the selection of the materials used for component and welding wire, the Heat distortion occurring in the component during welding, gap seam tolerances of the body to be joined in the quality execution of the weld seam important role.
The invention has for its object the joining of metal parts technically and to optimize economically.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1.
The inventive solution, the two metal parts to be joined are ge together in a single clamping state first in their joining area a welding gap with exactly defined, constant width to each other stands and then joined by a laser beam welding process connectable with each other. Ready-to-install plati can be used as metal parts, for example NEN or sheets can be provided, for example with an I-shaped or V-shaped butt joint, technically reliable and economical which are weldable.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the welding gap with the exactly defined, constant width between the two metal parts First a mechanical processing after a cutting, calibration, milling or Grinding process and subsequent repositioning of the two metal parts be achieved. For example, a high-speed milling process can be used milling processes are used. In the special case one already as a result of me a precisely defined welding gap can be achieved by machining Repositioning of the joining areas of the bodies to be joined is avoided.
The ready-to-install and intended for welding metal parts, for example wise the halves of a convex jacket of a container are thereby a suitable clamping device positioned in a single clamping state, machined and then welded together. The joining shop che of the metal parts to be joined are first in the processing position, the means brought together at a certain distance of their butt joints. The distance the butt joints to each other can be zero ("on block") or a defined one Tolerance distance be brought. The type of mechanical processing of the stump Butt of the plates or sheets depends on theirs for the following Plane parallelism to be achieved according to the shape of the respective die butt of the metal parts to be welded together, for example I or V-seam, as well as the dimensions of the respective body and its mate rialart, for example aluminum, steel etc. The mechanical processing takes place like the subsequent laser beam welding in the longitudinal direction of the seam.
Depending on the length of the seam or the heat distortion, the seam area of the The seam should be stitched with a stitching. The joining of the longitudinal seam after a laser beam welding process can be done with or without filler wire. Of the The beginning or end of the seam can be made with or without a weld-on plate. At Providing a welding plate can be removed after welding the. Furthermore, the welding parameters can be reproved for quality assurance can be recorded ON-LINE.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the two can be joined niche metal parts to be joined together part of an approximately cylindrical be preformed sheet metal tube body. In this way, you can in particular innkeeper economically, for example, containers and the like common in vehicle construction Chen are manufactured.
The invention is based on the embodiment shown in the drawing examples explained in more detail.

In Fig. 1, two to a jacket of a container joining technically ver bindable metal parts 1 , 2 are provided in their joining area with container-facing, rolled ends 3 , 4 . The two metal parts 1 , 2 are in this case designed as ready-to-assemble sheets which are spaced apart from one another by means of a clamping device (not shown here) by a welding gap with a precisely defined, constant width. The precisely defined welding gap 5 is in a single clamping of the sheets 1 , 2 by first mechanical processing, for example after a cutting, calibration, milling or grinding process or the like, and a subsequent repositioning of the sheets 1 , 2 required dimension for the subsequent laser beam welding process. In the version shown here, a calibration method can be used as mechanical processing, for example. The rolled sections 3 , 4 of the sheets 1 , 2 are machined with a calibration mandrel, not shown here. At closing, the dimension of the exactly defined, constant width of the welding gap 5 is achieved by a subsequent repositioning of the previously mechanically processed sheets 1 , 2 in the same clamping. In special cases, the repositioning of the sheets 1 , 2 to achieve the exactly defined welding gap 5 can be omitted if the dimension required for the welding has already been achieved by the mechanical processing. The mechanical processing of the joining areas of the sheets 1 , 2 takes place in the longitudinal direction of the weld seam 9 shown in FIG. 2. The joining of the two sheets 1 , 2 by means of a laser beam welding process takes place immediately after their mechanical processing in the same setting.
In Fig. 2 are to be welded to each other metal parts 1 , 2 two sheet metal in fixed tension on each other. The exactly defined welding gap 5 is in this case limited by parallel butt joints 6 , 7 of the sheets 1 , 2 which run in the vertical direction. As a mechanical processing of the butt joints 6 , 7 , for example, a milling or grinding process can be used. After this machining of the joining areas of the two sheets 1 , 2, they are repositioned and laser-welded.
In FIG. 3, a precisely defined welding gap 5, which runs obliquely to the surfaces of the sheets 1 , 2 to be welded to one another, is formed by mutually parallel, inclined butt joints 6 , 7 of the sheets 1 , 2 . Regardless of the direction of the welding gap 5 , the joining of the sheets 1 , 2 takes place in accordance with the laser beam welding method mentioned in FIG. 1. The welding gap 5 is dimensioned in each case so that: - ensures a smooth pendulum line width of the laser beam - as shown in Fig 1 and Fig. 2.. Regardless of the type of weld preparation and the weld, the weld can be tinned for corrosion protection.
