Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a seamless cellulose-based film tube by extruding an aqueous one Cellulose-N-methyl-morpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) solution through an annular nozzle in a spin bath.
Cellulose is not soluble in the usual solvents and has neither Melting point or a melting range and therefore can not thermopla be processed stisch. For this reason, cellulose is usually used Manufacture of tubular casings for foods such as sausages envelop, chemically converted, these processes with a degradation of the Cellulose are linked, d. H. the average degree of polymerization of the Cellulose is getting lower. Such methods are technically very complex and accordingly expensive to operate.
At present, the viscose process is used when extruding film tubes Cellulose based preferred. The cellulose is made with sodium hydroxide solution and finally implemented with carbon disulphide. In this way, one Cellulose xanthate solution obtained by a spinning or ring nozzle in a so-called spinning or precipitation bath is extruded. With the help of further and washing baths the cellulose is regenerated.
Die Her stellung geeigneter Spinnlösungen ist bekannt (DD 218 104; DD 298 789; US-A 4 145 532; US-A 4 196282; US-A 4255 300). It has long been known that cellulose is soluble in oxides of tertiary amines and currently the most suitable solvent for cellulose is N-methyl morpholine N-oxide (NMMO). The cellulose dissolves in it without getting rid of it to change mix. There is no degradation of cellulose chains. The Her the provision of suitable spinning solutions is known (DD 218 104; DD 298 789; US-A 4,145,532; US-A 4 196282; US-A 4255 300).
Threads can be made from the solutions by extrusion into a spinning bath (DE-A 44 09 609; US-A 5 417 909). In WO 95/07811 (= CA 2 149 218 ) is also a process for the production of cellulose tubular films the amine oxide process disclosed. This process is characterized by Cooling of the extruded film with cooling gas immediately below the annular gap the extrusion die. According to EP-A 662 283, the extruded tubular film cooled from the inside with the help of liquid.
Recovery and cleaning of the NMMO are described in DD 274 435 ben. Since the cellulose is not chemically converted in the process, the less equipment. No gaseous precipitates occur in the amine oxide process gene or aqueous waste products so that there are no problems with the exhaust air or the wastewater. It is therefore becoming increasingly important.
A 0 686 712 describes the production of flexible cellulose fibers the N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) spinning process. In it a cellulose solution in water-containing NMMO through a spinneret presses, led over an air gap into an NMMO-containing, aqueous precipitation bath and then washed, aftertreated and dried.
According to WO 93/13670, a seamless, tubular food cover by extruding a solution of cellulose in NMMO / water with the help manufactured using a special extrusion nozzle. Between extrusion die and Precipitation bath is an air gap. This process is characteristic a specially shaped hollow mandrel, through which the precipitation liquid also Can circulate inside the hose. The interior of the extruded hose practically completely of hollow mandrel and precipitation liquid filled out. The hose is not stretched transversely.
When extruding a film tube from a ring die into a spinning bath, no mechanical support of the film within this spinning bath hose is made, proves disadvantageous that the caliber accurately The film tube filled with an indoor bath solution was not maintained and there may be irregular fluctuations in the caliber diameter of the film tube comes during the continuous extrusion process.
The object of the invention is a method of the type described above to improve that a film tube with constant caliber, d. H. Free of Fluctuations in the hose diameter and without the use of mechanical Supporting and guiding agent for the film tube within the spinning bath can be manufactured.
This object is achieved according to the method in such a way that the foils hose in an air gap between the ring nozzle and the surface of the Spinning bath is stretched by overpressure that the film tube with an indoor bath solution is filled and redirected in the spinning bath and that the level the indoor bath solution in the immersing and rising part of the film hose is set deeper than the surface of the spinning bath.
In an embodiment of the method, the inner bath solution is through the ring nozzle through both filled and suctioned into the film tube, the Filling and vacuuming separately become. The film tube is guided in such a way that the film tube immersed perpendicular to the surface of the spinning bath and after deflecting led out of the spin bath obliquely upwards within the spin bath becomes. According to the process, the density of the indoor bath solution in the area of Deflection of the film tube smaller than in the vertically immersed part and set in the slanted part of the film tube.
In an embodiment of the method, the spinning bath and the indoor bath contain solution N-methyl-morpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) in aqueous solution and become the NMMO concentrations of the spinning bath of the indoor bath solution at the beginning of the Extrusion of the film tube chosen approximately the same size. The NMMO concessions Tration of the indoor bath solution takes direction during the extrusion process of the deflection area of the film tube and initially also increases against above the NMMO concentration of the spinning bath and is Renewal of the indoor pool solution to a value less than / equal to the initial concentration tration lowered.
Die weitere Ausgestaltung des Verfahrens ergibt sich aus den Merkmalen der Patentansprüche 7 bis 11.The further design of the method results from the features of Claims 7 to 11.
The device for producing a seamless film tube on cellulose base by extruding an aqueous cellulose-N-methyl-morpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) solution, which comprises an annular nozzle and a spinning bath, stands out characterized in that between the ring nozzle and the surface of the spinning bath in A spider blade has an air gap that is near the bottom of the spider buy a redirection for the foil that is vertically immersed in the spin bath hose is arranged, and that an inlet and a suction pipe for an interior bath solution of the film tube are passed through the ring nozzle and in protrude the film tube.
In a further development of the device, a pipe encloses the inlet and suction tube, passes through a quill of the ring nozzle and forms a gap a central passage of the quill, with the pipe in the indoor bath solution of the film tube and a smaller diameter than the film has hose.
In the embodiment of the device, the inlet pipe is vertical within the incoming film tube height adjustable. This expediently takes Inlet pipe at the beginning of filling the indoor bath solution into the film tube an upper position and is in after the indoor bath solution has been filled in a position just above the deflection in the film tube ben.
In a further development of the invention, the tube is 5 to 50 mm and the Ab 3 to 45 mm into the indoor bath solution. The deflection is suitable a porcelain or glass rod, the diameter of which is larger than the caliber of the film tube.
Die weitere Ausgestaltung der Erfindung ergibt sich aus den Merkmalen der Patentansprüche 18 bis 24.The further embodiment of the invention results from the features of Claims 18 to 24.
The invention is described below with reference to a drawing management example explained in more detail.

An apparatus shown in FIG. 1 for extruding an aqueous cellulose-N-methyl-morpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) solution into a film tube comprises an annular nozzle 1 and a spinning blade 4 which is filled with a spinning or precipitation bath 3 . The spinning bath 3 consists of an aqueous NMMO solution with 12 to 20% by weight, in particular 15% by weight, NMMO content. The ring nozzle 1 known per se comprises as essential components a pre-distributor plate 5 , an adjusting device 6 , a sleeve 7 with a central passage 18 and an extrusion die gap 19 . The aqueous spinning solution to be extruded into a film tube is an NMMO solution with 75 to 90% by weight, in particular 87.7% by weight, of morpholine content. The spinning solution is introduced into the ring nozzle 1 on one side by means of a spinning pump, not shown. The pre-distributor disk in the ring die 1 ensures that the morpholine solution is largely uniformly fed into the extrusion die gap 19 over the circumference. The fine adjustment of the film tube thickness is carried out via the adjusting device 6 of the sleeve 7 . The ring nozzle 1 has a double jacket for heating the ring nozzle 1 to the temperature of the morpholine solution, a heating medium 21 being provided for the heating and flowing through the double jacket. The film tube extruded from the die gap 19 passes through an air gap 2 , in which it is expanded and stretched by means of compressed air. The expanded film tube 8 has no contact with the outside of a tube 12 which is passed through the passage 18 of the sleeve 7 and extends downward beyond the underside of the ring nozzle 1 . The air gap is 10 to 100 mm. The tube 12 encloses an inlet and an outlet tube 10 or 11 for an inner bath solution 13 which is filled into the film tube. This indoor bath solution 13 is also an aqueous NMMO solution with 12 to 20% by weight, in particular 15% by weight, of NMMO content. The inlet and the suction pipe 10 and 11 protrude into the vertically downward into the spinning bath 3 a diving film tube 16 . At the beginning of filling the indoor bath solution 13 into the film tube 16 , the inlet pipe 10 assumes an upper position, as shown in FIG. 1. As soon as the film tube is filled with the inner bath solution, the inlet pipe 10 is inserted into a position in the film tube 16 , which is located just above a deflection 15 for the film tube 15 , as can be seen from FIG. 2. The inlet pipe 10 can be adjusted in height within the vertically immersed film tube 16 , as can the suction pipe 11 .
The tube 12 forms a gap 17 with the wall of the passage 18 and air is passed through this gap 17 with an overpressure of 0.5 to 2.0 mbar into the interior of the hose. This overpressure causes the expansion of the film tube in the air gap 2 immediately after it emerges from the ex trusion nozzle gap 19 . The diameter of the extrusion die gap 19 , which is an annular gap, is larger than the outer diameter of the tube 12 . The film tube 16 immersed in the spinning bath 3 is deflected near the bottom of the spinning skid 4 . For this purpose, a deflection 15 , in which e? is a porcelain or glass rod, arranged around which the film tube 16 is guided. After the deflection, the film tube is guided out of the spinning bath at an angle upwards within the spinning bath 3 . The obliquely upward extending film tube 14 is squeezed together just below the surface of the spinning bath by the internal pressure of the spinning bath and leads out of the spinning bath 3 in the folded state. Wipers 24 on both sides of the folded film tube 14 wipe off the excess spinning bath solution on both sides and the width of the flat film tube 9 after the wipers near the exit from the spinning skid 4 is used as a control variable for the excess pressure of the air in the gap 17 . Each deviation of the width of the flat film tube 9 from a predetermined value causes a readjustment of the overpressure in such a way that the air pressure in the gap 17 increases in the event of a downward deviation and the air pressure in the gap 17 is reduced in the event of a deviation upward.
Fig. 2 differs from Fig. 1 only in that the inlet pipe 10 in Fig. 2 compared to Fig. 1 is inserted so far into the vertically immersed film tube 16 that the mouth of the inlet pipe is just above the deflection 15 . The spinning bath 3 and the inner bath solution 13 are, as already mentioned above, aqueous NMMO solutions which have the same large NMMO concentrations at the beginning of the extrusion of the film tube 16 . As the extrusion progresses, the NMMO concentration of the inner bath solution 13 will first increase, since morpholine enters the inner bath solution 13 from the film tube during the cellulose regeneration and accumulates there. Since morpholine has a higher density than water, the concentration or density of the NMMO solution increases in the direction of the deflection 15 within the film tube 16 . On the other hand, since the concentration of the NMMO solution of the spinning bath 3 practically does not change, since the morpholine released from the film tube to the spinning bath 3 can only negligibly increase the NMMO concentration of the spinning bath 3 because of the large volume difference between the film tube and the spinning bath, unlike the inner bath 13 in film tube 16, it would be without control of the NMMO concentration of the inner bath 13 to an expansion of the film tube sixteenth Due to the constant supply and suction of the indoor bath solution 13 via the supply and suction pipes 10 and 11 , there is a constant renewal of the indoor bath solution 13 , ie the morpholine-enriched indoor bath solution 13 near the deflection 15 is diluted, so that the NMMO - Concentration of the indoor bath solution 13 near the deflection 15 is smaller or at most the same as the NMMO concentration of the spinning bath 3 . As a result, the pressure of the spinning bath 3 is sufficient to press the film tube 16 along a contact path 20 against the deflection 15 in such a way that it is more or less flattened, as can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2. This results in constant pressure conditions in the film tube over the entire length from just below the surface of the spinning bath 3 to close to the deflection 15 , which ensure that the caliber or the diameter of the film tube 16 is constant and no fluctuations or dents having. The density of the indoor bath solution 13 is thus dependent on the throughput of indoor bath solution or morpholine solution, the amount of indoor bath and the immersion depth of the feed pipe 10 or the feed point of fresh morpholine solution into the indoor bath solution 13 . The position or the position at which the inner bath solution 13 flows into the film tube 16 influences the caliber constancy, the inner bath height in the rising film tube 14 after the deflection 15 and the location for removing the inner bath solution 13 from the inside of the film tube.
Fig. 3 zeigt den Ausschnitt gemäß der Stelle A in Fig. 1 in vergrößertem Maß stab. Fig. 3 shows the detail according to the point A in Fig. 1 in an enlarged scale. The tube 12 is immersed approximately 5 to 50 mm in the inner bath solution 13 inside the film tube. The suction pipe 11 is in a position in which a level 23 is set inside the pipe 12 , which is lower than a level 22 of the indoor bath solution outside the pipe 12 . The suction pipe 11 is immersed approximately 3 to 45 mm in the indoor bath solution 13 . In other words, this means that the suction pipe 11 assumes a position in which the inn! nenbadlösung 13 is sucked off so that the level 23 at a distance of 3 to 45 mm below the level 22 of the indoor bath solution in the immersed film tube 16 . The suction thus begins below the upper surface of the spinning bath 3 , so that the air gap 2 and the pressure conditions prevailing there have no influence on the indoor bath solution 13 and therefore there can be no fluctuations in the caliber of the film tube 16 .
By adjusting the immersion depth of the feed pipe 10 and the constant renewal of the indoor bath solution, the density of the indoor bath solution 13 is kept at a constant value, which leads to the constriction of the film tube 16 along the contact path 20 of the deflection 15 and the level of the indoor bath solution 13 in ascending order Foil tube 14 with an arbitrarily long running time is set constantly below the surface of the spinning bath 3 , so that there is no longer an uneven running and fluctuations in caliber of the foil tube. The constant renewal or the minimum supply of indoor bath solution 13 must be determined specifically for each extrusion or withdrawal speed of the film tube.
The film tube 14 emerging from the spinning bath 3 passes through precipitation and washing runners, not shown below, and can, for example, also be treated with plasticizers and then dried before it is wound up and further processed.
In Fig. 4, the caliber fluctuations of a film tube 25 are indicated schematically, which result from the fact that a renewal of the indoor bath solution does not take place in such a way that fresh morpholine solution near the deflection 15 is introduced into the indoor bath solution 13 via the inserted feed pipe. Due to the lack of renewal of the indoor bath solution 13 , the NMMO concentration in the film tube rises downwards and reaches a greatest value in the area of the deflection 15 . This increase in density of the indoor bath solution 13 causes the film tube 25 to expand in the region of the deflection 15 , so that there are uneven calibres over the length of the film tube. However, these caliber fluctuations are not limited to the region of the deflection 15 , but occur already at the beginning of the entry of the film tube 25 into the spinning bath solution 3 . One explanation for this can be seen in the fact that the inlet pipe 10 occupies an upper position, so that the supply of fresh morpholine solution already results in a too low density of the inner bath solution 13 in the upper part of the film tube 25 and increases until the deflection 15 . The too high density of the indoor bath solution 13 at the deflection 15 means that the film tube 25 has temporarily no contact with the deflection 15 and therefore has an uneven speed, which is noticeable as caliber fluctuations of the film tube 25 (egg chain).
