Abstract

A measurement evaluation circuit has an astable multivibrator comprising a pair of transistors. The circuit is for the direct digital measurement of a force. It has a pressure sensitive semiconductor sensor in the charging circuit of a condenser. There is provision for automatic temp. compensation by alteration in the supply voltage of the current source or by altering the base bias of temp. dependent elements in the current source. The multivibrator gives a frequency directly proportional to the force being measured. Both detector elements (2, 3) and the temp. compensating element (4) are mounted on a semiconductor plate (1). A common connector (5) is large enough to introduce no effective extra resistance.
