Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for removing ammonia or amines, and their degradation products from exhaust gases, in particular exhaust gases from a combustion United. Amines are the organic derivatives of ammonia and decomposition products are the radicals NH 2 - and NH-.
duktionsmittel Ammoniak eingesetzt. Der Abbau von Stickoxiden erfolgt gemäß
nachfolgender Gleichung:
DE 40 27 040 C1 discloses a process for selective non-catalytic denitrification of exhaust gases (SNCR process), in particular exhaust gases from waste incineration plants, in which the reducing agent is used to reduce nitrogen oxides (NO) with a reducing agent without a catalyst at an exhaust gas temperature of 700-1100 ° C is supplied. Ammonia is preferably used as the reducing agent. Nitrogen oxides are broken down according to the following equation:
4NO + 4NH3+O2 = 4N2 + 6H2O (1)4NO + 4NH 3 + O 2 = 4N 2 + 6H 2 O (1)
The reaction is usually not complete and there is an NH 3 slip of e.g. B. 5-30 mg / m 3 , regardless of whether ammonia or aqueous solutions of ammonia or urea are used as reducing agents.
nachfolgenden Gleichungen:
Due to load fluctuations during combustion, the optimal temperature zone moves in the combustion system. If the ammonia is introduced in the area at too high a temperature, an increasing proportion of the introduced ammonia burns to N 2 and NO with increasing temperature according to the following equations:
4NH3 + 5O2 = 4NO + 6H2O (2)
4NH 3 + 5O 2 = 4NO + 6H 2 O (2)
4NH3 + 3O2 = 2N2 + 6H2O (3)4NH 3 + 3O 2 = 2N 2 + 6H 2 O (3)
This increases the consumption of ammonia unnecessarily and the harmful gas component NO is also formed, which has to be eliminated. On the other hand, the undesirable slip to unreacted NH 3 decreases. If, on the other hand, the ammonia is introduced in the region of temperatures that are too low, the consumption of ammonia decreases, but at the same time the undesired slip of unreacted NH 3 increases with falling temperature. Below 700 ° C the reaction comes to a complete standstill according to equation (1).
gender Gleichung:
The NH 3 slip is undesirable because the ammonia on downstream parts of the system triggers significant problems, eg. B. by the formation of ammonium bisulfate in the form of a sticky and corrosive substance according to the following equation:
NH3+SO3+H2O = NH4HSO4 (4)NH 3 + SO 3 + H 2 O = NH 4 HSO 4 (4)
With the German patent application 196 46 099.9 dated November 8, 1996, it was proposed to denitrify the exhaust gas of an incineration plant using the SNCR process, to pre-purify the exhaust gases with regard to heavy metals and dioxins / furans (PCDD / F) and then to an exhaust gas desulfurization system of a large steam generator introduce. It is also possible to introduce the exhaust gases into a separate wet washing stage assigned to the waste incineration plant. In both cases, the ammonia slip in the wet washing stage can lead to considerable problems, since it is partially washed out and thus pollutes the wastewater and the downstream wastewater treatment stages. In the wastewater treatment stages, the Am moniak must be removed by costly stripping or precipitation systems. It should also be noted that the ammonia can form aerosols with SO 3 and / or HCl when cooling in the washing stages, which can lead to regular emission problems.
Another disadvantage of ammonia slip is that excess ammonia can deposit on the fly dusts and at Wei Treatment of the airborne dust caused by outgassing Odor problems occur can, which hinders the recovery or disposal of the dust becomes.
Finally, the decomposition of NO x with ammonia in the presence of a catalyst is known (SCR process), the exhaust gas being passed over the catalyst after the addition of the ammonia at a temperature of 150-450 ° C. The SCR denitrification plants were found to cause a small NH 3 slip when properly designed. On the other hand, it was found that if the operating temperatures are too high, an increasing proportion of the ammonia added is oxidized catalytically with oxygen according to the above reaction equations (2) and (3).
When sewage sludge is incinerated, NH 3 or amine and any degradation products in the exhaust gas already occur due to the incineration itself.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to apply a method ben, with the ammonia or amines from the exhaust gas in a simple manner can be removed.
This object is achieved in that the exhaust gas from a catalytic oxide tion is subjected to oxygen.
The invention is therefore based on the knowledge that the undesirable side reaction of the SCR process, namely the catalytic oxidation of the reducing agent with oxygen, can be used to reduce the undesirable property of the SNCR process, namely the increasing slip in the case of fall Temperatures. The characteristics of the SCR and the SNCR method will be explained later with reference to FIGS . 1 and 2.
At least one catalyst from the group: iron sulfate, manganese sulfate is preferably used as the oxidation catalyst. The use of iron (II) sulfate (FeSO 4 ) is preferred. This compound has the advantage that it is ecologically harmless and is also available in large quantities because it is a waste product (green salt FeSO 4 .7H 2 O) in the sulfate process for the production of TiO 2 .
Preferably, the oxidation catalyst is added to the exhaust gas at a temperature of 450 ° C or higher, more preferably in a temperature range of 500-800 ° C and again preferably in the temperature range of 600-700 ° C. It is assumed that when iron (II) sulfate is added, it oxidizes to iron (III) sulfate (Fe 2 (SO 4 ) 3 ) and this compound oxidizes ammonia according to reaction equations (2) and (3).
In the presence of SO 2 in the exhaust gas, a catalytic oxidation of part of the SO 2 to SO 3 occurs as a side reaction. Other side reactions are the formation of N 2 O and NO 2 . The formation of the undesirable greenhouse gas N 2 O, however, goes through a temperature maximum at 500 ° C. At higher and lower temperatures, the formation rate of N 2 O decreases again, so that the above-mentioned temperature range of 500-800 ° C is a preferred temperature range. The temperature range of 600-700 ° C is the most preferred because, on the one hand, the formation of undesirable N 2 O is kept low in this temperature range and, on the other hand, no ammonia is removed from the SNCR process.
The oxidation catalyst is preferably in the form of an aqueous solution or in fine particles lige form in the exhaust gas added.
If the oxidation catalyst is added in aqueous solution, the Ein can be selected at a higher temperature because the carrier is liquid speed must first be evaporated before the catalyst in the form of a dry sub stamping can take effect.
When adding the catalyst in finely divided form, a small particle size should be aimed for, preferably 10 μm-50 μm particle size, in order to obtain the highest possible reaction surface. It may therefore be expedient to grind up the catalyst delivered in powder form before the injection. The finer the powder, the smaller the amount that can be introduced. Advantageously, 50-500 mg / m 3 exhaust gas of iron sulfate are added, again preferably 100-250 mg / m 3 exhaust gas. The amount of catalyst to be added does not depend to a large extent on the amount of NH 3 present in the exhaust gas, but to a greater extent on the mixing quality that can be achieved. After the oxidation has ended, the catalyst is removed from the exhaust gas by a filtering separator.
Es zeigen:The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying figures . Show it:

Fig. 4 shows an example of the application of the method according to the invention in connection with one of the flue gas desulfurization system of a large steam generator upstream waste incineration plant.
1 and 2, the NOx conversion and NH 3 -Sales in function of the temperature for the SCR reaction and the SNCR reaction illustrated in principle. The more precise curves are dependent on various boundary conditions, including the desired catalytic material. It can be seen from the curves in FIG. 1 that an increasing catalytic NH 3 combustion occurs in the SCR reaction from 400 ° C. (arrow I), while in the SNCR process the thermal NH 3 combustion occurs from 1000 ° C. increases (arrow II). It can also be seen from FIG. 1 that NH 3 slip increases with the SNCR reaction towards low temperatures (arrow III).
In the curves of Fig. 1, the molar ratio of α = NH 3 / NO is constant.
NO: 130 vpm
The dependence of the NH 3 degradation on the temperature according to FIG. 3 was measured by adding iron (II) sulfate at 600 ° C. to iron (III) sulfate and passing a test gas over it. It can be assumed that when the method according to the invention is carried out in paint systems, this conversion process takes place in a matter of seconds. The test gas had the following composition:
NO: 130 vpm
O2: 8 Vol.-%
CO2: 11 Vol.-%
H2O: 10 Vol.-%
N2: Rest.O 2 : 8 vol.%
CO 2 : 11% by volume
H 2 O: 10% by volume
N 2 : rest.
Ammonia was added to this gas in an amount of 45 mg / m 3 in the normal state. The experiment has shown that at a temperature of 400 ° C a percentage degradation of 72.6 and at 485 ° C a percentage degradation of 93.6 is achieved. The experiment shows that the iron sulfate is in principle suitable for breaking down ammonia under the conditions prevailing in SNCR plants.
Fig. 4 corresponds to the proposed procedure according to German patent application 196 46 099.9 dated November 8, 1996, to which reference is expressly made here.
In FIG. 4, in the upper part a steam generator 2 having a coal feed and a 2 in the figure indicated by two heating surfaces water-steam circuit is shown b 2.
A high-dust SCR system 17 for denitrification of the exhaust gas A and a wet exhaust gas desulfurization system 19 are connected downstream of the steam generator 2 . Instead of the high-dust SCR system 17 upstream of the desulfurization system, the exhaust gas desulfurization system 19 can also be followed by a low-dust SCR system 18 .
If the large steam generator 2 can be denatured by primary measures on the Feuerungssy system sufficient, as z. B. is the case with a coal-fired large steam generator 2 , a separate denitrification system for the exhaust gas can be dispensed with.
The wet exhaust gas desulfurization system 19 is operated with limestone supplied at 20 and mashed in a container 21 . Other sulfur binding agents that can be used are CaO, Ca (OH) 2 , MgCO 3 or dolomite. The container 21 is connected via a line 22 to the sump 23 in the exhaust gas desulfurization system. A circulation circuit 24, which is only shown schematically, is also connected to the sump 23 . Oxidation air 25 is also fed to the sump 23 . In the area of droplet separation, fresh water is supplied at 25 a. The gypsum resulting from the oxidation of calcium sulfite to calcium sulfate in the sump is dewatered by means of a cyclone 26 and a downstream belt filter 27 and drawn off at 28 and the water of the belt filter 27 is transferred to a drain water tank 29 . A part 30 a of the blowdown water is fed to the mashing container 21 and another part 30 b is withdrawn.
In the preferred embodiment, the exhaust gas desulfurization system is operated as a wet exhaust gas desulfurization system 19 . Under certain circumstances it would also be conceivable to use a semi-dry spray absorption system.
The large steam generator 2 is associated with a waste incineration system 31 with a grate firing 32 as satellite firing. The waste gases resulting from the combustion of waste 33 are denitrified by means of ammonia water supplied at 34 a using the SNCR method. To reduce the NH 3 slip, an oxidation catalyst in the form of iron (II) sulfate is injected at 34 b or 34 c. At points 34 b and 34 c, the preferred temperatures for introducing the catalyst prevail. Two-component nozzles are preferably used, an iron sulfate solution or iron sulfate powder being injected with air as the atomizing medium. At 35 , the exhaust gases of a mechanical pre-dedusting, e.g. B. through gutters, and they are removed by a variety of acted upon with water or steam Heizflä surfaces to form steam D heat, which - as shown schematically in the figure - is withdrawn from the waste incineration plant. In Fig. 4, a waste incineration plant with vertical draft boiler is provided. Of course, a waste incineration plant with a horizontal train can also be used.
The waste gas from the waste incineration plant 31 is supplied to a prepurification 36 . This has a cooler 37 with solids return 37 a. In the cooler 37 designed as an evaporative cooler, the exhaust gas is supplied with water 38 to a temperature of, for. B. 170-180 ° C cools down. The exhaust gas B is before or after the evaporative cooler 37 activated coke 39 for the incorporation of heavy metals and polyhalogenated hydrocarbons, in particular PCDD / F supplied.
For the separation of dust still present after the dedusting 35 and the activated coke 39 supplied, the exhaust gas is passed through a filtering separator 40 , in particular a fabric filter.
In addition to activated coke, other substances such as activated carbon can also be used as sorbents le, clay minerals, limes, limestone, zeolites or mixtures of these substances be set. Part of the sorbent for heavy metal and halogenated hydrocarbons can be removed by sodium tetrasulfide for the mercury divorce to replace the coke for the dioxin and furaneinbin humiliation.
The dedusting 35 at a temperature of z. B. 320-450 ° C reduces the formation of PCDD / F through the de novo synthesis. Mechanical separators such as gutters, cyclones and the like are preferably used for the dedusting device 35 . The dust from the pre-dedusting has a lower pollutant content.
As the evaporation of water 38 to the evaporative cooler 37 may be a part or the whole elutriation 30 b of the flue gas desulphurisation plant are fed, so that it not only works as an evaporative cooler, but also as a spray dryer. Under certain circumstances, this results in wastewater-free operation of the exhaust gas desulfurization system 19 if spray drying of the entire wastewater is possible or a remainder of the wastewater 30 b is used for moistening the ash removed from the large boiler system and / or waste incineration system.
Boiler slag 42 , pre-separated boiler dust 43 and a mixture 44 of residual dust, activated coke and oxidation catalyst are drawn off from the waste incineration plant 31 and the downstream stage 36 .
BImSchV vorgegebenen Grenzwerte reduziert. The exhaust gas leaving the filter 40 has been reduced to the limit values of the 17th BImSchV with regard to its content of heavy metals, in particular mercury, and PCDD / F, but is still loaded with SO 2 , HCl and possibly HF. This exhaust gas stream is fed to the exhaust gas desulfurization system 19 , which reduces the values of the exhaust gas B of the waste incineration system for SO 2 , HCl, HF at least to the limit values specified by the 17th BImSchV.
Gypsum is extracted from the desulfurization plant. The Schadgaskompo component HCl is deducted as chlorides together with the blowdown water or as fluorides together with gypsum 28 .
At least some of the solids separated in the fabric filter 40 can be returned via line 40 a to the exhaust gas stream upstream of the fabric filter.
45' dargestellt. If the exhaust gas desulfurization system 19 connected downstream of the large steam generator 2 alone does not have sufficient capacity, the exhaust gas supplied to it and thus also the exhaust gas stream B of the waste incineration system to clean the values of the 17th BlmSchV, it may be expedient to carry out a preliminary cleaning also with regard to the To cause harmful gas components SO 2 , HCl and HF in the pre-cleaning stage 36 , in which the evaporative cooler 36 is operated as a spray absorber with milk of lime at very low stoichiometry, or an appropriately selected absorbent is added in dry form after the evaporative cooler 36 . This is shown schematically in Fig. 4 by the arrows 45 and 45 '.
Under certain circumstances, instead of an evaporative cooler 37 , a boiler heating surface can also be used as a heat exchanger for cooling the exhaust gas if its heat can be reasonably integrated in the coupling of the water-steam circuits of the large boiler system and the waste incineration system.
The steam D drawn off from the waste incineration plant 31 can be entered into the water-steam cycle 2 b of the large steam generator.
