Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for combined Analog and digital transmission of an analog AC measurement signal by means of an optical fiber and on a device for Performing this procedure.
The intermediate circuit voltages in large converters are today already at approx. 5 kV with a tendency towards 10 kV and 20 kV. Such high DC link voltages are also very high requirements for the insulation strength of the used Current and voltage transformers. The partial discharge resistance is the decisive dimension for the insulation strength. With a 5 kV DC link voltage, a partial charge resistance of 20 kV are required.
The converter systems used today are compensatory Power converter. To comply with the required partial discharge However, these transducers must have a special strength go through processes that make the converters very expensive. In addition, these converters take up a large amount of space Chen and the lines for the power supply of the converter as well for transmission of the measurement signals in compliance with the pre written air and creepage distances must be relocated, to guarantee a safe separation. This enlarges the necessary installation space.
An increasingly complex isolation does not seem to be the right one Way to be the converter systems for even higher intermediate circular voltages at a low price level up.
A fundamentally different approach to solving this problem is to perform the safe separation using fiber optic cables to lead. However, this means that an elec electronics is necessary, at least the one supplied by the sensor ten measurement signals amplified and an optical fiber transmitter controls. The energy supply of this electronics must then but also done via an optical fiber. Derar term energy transmission systems consist of a laser, the Optical fiber and an energy converter. The transferable However, power is limited to a few 100 mW. Out this is why in such light energy supply systems no compensating current transformers can be used because the Power requirements of these converters due to the compensation onsstromes is too large.
From the article "Optical current transformers - first field trial successful in the 380 kV network ", printed in the DE magazine "ABB Technik", Volume 3, 1994, pages 12 to 18, is an acti ves optical current measuring system known. This essay poses various optical current transformers, which under real loading conditions in a German 380 kV network were tested. Of the active current transformers essentially works on the principle a conventional current measurement, supplemented by a digi tale optical transmission link. In detail there is Air core coil system including burden, one Analog-digital converter and a transmitter with light emitting diode at high potential. An optical fiber sets the connection to the interface device at earth potential al ago. Electronics with high voltage potential, as never whose energy CMOS circuit built has less than 150 µW Power requirement. A laser di is sufficient as energy supply or between two data telegrams over the same Optical fiber sends energy. At longer distances between sensor and interface device due to the height a parallel optical fiber to the energy energy supply needed.
With such an active optical current transformer, one can record the value of a measurement signal very precisely. It depends the accuracy of the used analog-digital Converter. The cost of an analog-to-digital converter will be agrees with the converter resolution and its sampling rate. To the To capture the value of a 50 Hz measurement signal as precisely as possible, a resolution of 12 bits and a sampling frequency of 1 kHz off. However, this cannot be used to make quick changes determine the measurement signal. However, since not only the ex Actual value of a measurement signal is of interest only, but its transients, too, have so far been parallel to digi tal transmission by means of an optical fiber a two ter optical fiber for transmission of the analog measurement signal used. Measured variables can thus be used quickly for protective purposes (analog transmission) and very precise for control and for Regulatory purposes (digital transmission) can be determined.
A problem with such optical power transmission systems are intensity fluctuations of the light source, in particular as a result of aging or changes in the order ambient temperature. This intensity fluctuations in light can source via a constant current source for the light source or via a measurement of the emitted optical lei the light source by means of a monitor photodiode or Monitor photo element and according to the rules of the supply current be compensated for the light source. Influences of sturgeon sizes on the transmission path between light source and photoelectric converter as well as changes in conversion efficiency of the photoelectric converter can be achieved with the known regulations cannot be compensated.
The invention is based on the object of a method and a device for combined analog and digital Transmission of an analog AC measurement signal by means of a light Specify waveguide, the problems of an optical Transmission system no longer occur.
Anspruch 2 (Vorrichtung). This object is achieved with the features of claim 1 (method) or claim 2 (device).
According to the process steps, the analog AC measurement signal processed in two different paths. In one path this analog AC measurement signal is low-pass filtered with off digitized with sufficient accuracy and as digital data electricity provided. In the other path the analogue becomes AC measurement signal bandpass filtered and a constant DC gnal overlaid. The digital data stream and the analog sum mensignal are converted into an optical signal that over an optical fiber is transmitted. This transferred optical signal is composed of three signals in un different frequency ranges. On the receiver side, the ses optical signal first in an electrical Si gnal implemented and then in the three signals columns. By means of the transmitted constant DC signal the analog AC measurement signal is normalized so that damping and Efficiency changes from the optical fiber, optical sen the and optical receiver can be compensated. At the exit on the one hand there is a digital data stream and an analog value of a transmitted analog AC measurement signal at, the digital data stream for control and regulation purposes and the analog value can be used for protection purposes can.
By this method according to the invention, an analog AC measurement signal analog and digital using a light wave conductor transferred while making slow changes (Temperature drift, aging) in the transmission behavior of the Optical fiber system can be compensated.

Fig. 1 illustrates a block diagram of a transmitter 2 of a device for carrying out the Ver invention proceedings for the combined analog and digital transmission of an analog AC measurement signal Sa. This apparatus comprises in addition to the transmitter 2 nor an optical waveguide 4 and a receiver 6 (Fig. 5 ) on. The transmitter 2 and the receiver 6 are connected to one another by means of the one optical waveguide 4 . The transmitter 2 is divided into two channels 8 and 10 , which are linked on the output side to a measurement signal input 12 and on the output side to a conversion stage 14 . The channel 8 comprises a low-pass filter 16 and an analog-to-digital converter 18, wherein as the transducer 18 is a 12-bit converter is provided, for example. A digitized AC measurement signal Sd is present as a data telegram at the output of this analog-digital converter 18 . As a low-pass filter 16 , an anti-aliasing filter is seen easily, the cutoff frequency of which is less than half the sampling frequency of the analog-digital converter 18 . The low-pass filter 16 is preceded by a matching amplifier 20 , which is connected on the input side to the measurement signal input 12 of the transmitter 2 . By means of this matching amplifier 20 , the analog AC measurement signal Sa is processed for further processing. The channel 10 of the transmitter 2 has a bandpass filter 22 and an Additionsein device 24 , at whose second input a constant DC signal SR is present. In the conversion stage 14 , the di gitalized AC measurement signal Sd and the sum signal SRa are converted into an optical transmission signal SL and transmitted to the receiver 6 by means of an optical waveguide 4 .
Fig. 2 shows a first embodiment of the Additionsein device 24 and the conversion stage 14 of the transmitter 2 of FIG. 1. As an adder 24 , a reversing adder is provided which has an operational amplifier 26 . The non-inverting input of this operational amplifier 26 is connected to a reference potential, whereas the bandpass-filtered, analog AC measurement signal Sa and the constant DC signal SR each arrive at the inverting input of this operational amplifier 26 by means of a resistor R1, R2. The output of the operational amplifier 26 is fed back to its inverting input by means of the resistor R3. The conversion stage has a low-pass filter 28 of the first order and a light-emitting diode 30 . The low-pass filter 28 consists of an operational amplifier 32 , two resistors R4, R5 and a capacitor C1. The resistor R5 and the capacitor C1 are electrically connected in parallel and arranged in the feedback branch of the operational amplifier 32 . The Wi resistor R4 is connected to a connection with the inverting input of the operational amplifier 32 and with another connection to the output of the adder 24 . The output of the low-pass filter 28 is electrically connected by means of a resistor R6 on the one hand via a resistor R8 to the inverting input of the operational amplifier 26 of the addition device 24 and on the other hand to the light-emitting diode 30 . The an ode of this light-emitting diode 30 is connected to a terminal of the resistor R6, R8. In addition, this light-emitting diode 30 is linked by means of a capacitor C2 to a resistor R7, at whose other connection the digitized AC measurement signal Sd is present.
By means of this arrangement, consisting of the Additionseinrich device 24 and the conversion stage 14 , from the analog, band pass-filtered AC measurement signal Sa, the constant DC signal SR and the digitized AC measurement signal Sd a modulation signal SM, which by means of the light-emitting diode 30 in an optical transmission signal SL is converted, which is shown in the diagram over time t in FIG. 3. If there is still no analog AC measurement signal Sa and also no digitized measurement signal Sd and the transmitter 2 is switched on, the constant DC signal SR is converted into a transmitted light, ie the light-emitting diode 30 sends a constant light signal. If the analog, bandpass-filtered AC measurement signal Sa is now applied to the addition device 24 , the transmitted constant light signal of the diode 30 is modulated. That is, the intensity of the transmitted light signal SL fluctuates in accordance with the analog AC measurement signal Sa. This digitized light signal SL is now superimposed on the digitized AC measurement signal Sd, so that the transmitted light signal SL follows the course shown in FIG. 3 takes on.
In FIG. 4, an advantageous embodiment of the Anord voltage is composed of the adder 24 and the order setting step 14, the transmitter 2 shown in FIG. 1. Compared to the embodiment of FIG. 2, only one operational amplifier 32 is used here, which is connected as a reversing adder and as a low-pass filter 28 of the first order. This saves who the operational amplifier 28 and two resistors R3 and R4 without changing anything in the process. The output of the operational amplifier 32 is provided with an inductance L. This inductance L has the task of keeping the digitized AC measurement signal Sd away from the operational amplifier 32 . The capacitor C2 has the task of keeping the analog sum signal SRa away from the analog-digital converter 18 . Since fewer components, in particular only one operational amplifier, are used in this embodiment, this embodiment requires less energy than that shown in FIG. 2.
In FIG. 5 is a block diagram of the receiver is the device for carrying out the method according to the invention for the combined analog and digital transmission shown an analo gen AC measurement signal Sat, 6. On the input side, the transmitted optical transmission signal SL is converted into an electrical modulation signal SM by means of a photodiode 34 and fed to a low-pass filter 36 , a high-pass filter 38 and a band-pass filter 40 . By means of these filters 36 , 38 and 40 , the individual signals SR, Sd and Sa are recovered from the modulation signal SM. At the output of the high-pass filter 38 , the digitized AC measurement signal Sd is pending as a data telegram, which is used for control and regulation tasks. At the output of the low-pass filter 36 is the constant DC signal SR, which is a standardization device 42 leads. The analog AC measurement signal Sa is present at the output of the bandpass filter 40 and is supplied to the standardization device 42 by means of a preamplifier 44 . As a standardization device 42 , a voltage-controlled amplifier can be provided, at the output of which the standardized analog AC measurement signal Sa is present. By normalizing the recovered AC measurement signal by means of the recovered direct signal SR, attenuation and efficiency changes are compensated by the optical fiber 4 , transmitter 2 and receiver 6 .
