Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for heating thermo plastic plastic plates for the manufacture of in particular ortheses and prosthetic sockets, with a heatable Table surface as a support surface for the plastic to be heated plate and with a counter pressure plate, which is plane parallel to the Table surface can be placed on the plastic plate, the Table surface and the counter surface facing it printing plate are covered with a Teflon fabric.
To the quality of the heated, for the further processing of Plastic provided for orthosis parts or prosthesis sockets boards are subject to high demands, especially for visually the surface quality. When described above benen device is the pressure plate in one on the table hinged lid integrated, which runs over two gas springs and can be locked at about 45 ° opening angle. The worktop che has a size of z. B. 1000 × 1300 mm. Heating the Table surface is built into this built-in electric heater elements. The Teflon fabric covering the work surfaces is said to be prevent the heated plastic plate from sticking.
The heating of plastic plates via contact heating, however, is particularly problematic with regard to the surface quality of the heated material. If the cold plastic plate is placed on the table surface, which has been preheated to approx. 165 ° C to 195 ° C, it deforms due to the inherent tension in the material and the one-sided heat supply. The counter pressure plate, which has a weight of around 8 kg, is intended to ensure contact with the heating element. The invention is based on the knowledge of the sequence of heating described below:
The sheet material begins to melt where the plastic sheet rests on the heated surface. Overall, the plate material becomes more plastic due to the room heat in the heating plate and expands. In this phase, destructive processes begin on the plate surface. As a result of the progressive heating, the plate material expands overall, the parts of the plastic plate that are still semi-plastic sliding parts of the plate over one another. In addition, it comes with larger plate blanks to the formation of air chambers, which reinforce this process. The heating of the material is delayed in part by the enclosed air cushion due to the insulating effect caused by the air and leads to considerable shrinkage of the plastic plate at the end of the heating phase. Since thermoplastic sheet material is produced, among other things, by the extrusion process, shrinkage occurs in the extrusion direction when plasticizing this sheet material. This is the so-called memory effect. After completing the material heating, the plastic plate lies flat on the heating element, since the softened portions of the air chambers of the counterpressure plate no longer offer any resistance. The air chambers then led to air pockets in the flat plastic plate and damaged the surface in the form of sharp-edged extensions.
The heatable contact surface is supposed to be one gas-permeable sintered metal molding can be formed from a multitude of interconnected, together of the communicating hollow metal particles consists.
DE-AS 10 79 314 discloses a porous form for production of objects made of natural and synthetic polymers by molding under pressure. To avoid sticking and one To achieve ventilation, a porous metal body should be provided be on at least part of his work surface the pores with a porous plastic material with anti-adhesive properties are filled. The porous plastic mat rial from polytetrafluoroethylene, polytrifluoromonochlorethylene or a silicone resin.
Attempts have been made to use contact heating to heat art Replace fabric panels with alternative heat sources and Er heating techniques such as forced air heaters, infrared heaters and Warming in the stenter. However, these procedures are essential more expensive, more energy-consuming and space-consuming without ultimately to be able to solve the problems explained above. So z. B. when heating with recirculated air through long-term breaks Surface oxidation, which is evident from the Hot air were caused. A disadvantage of heating in the free space (heating furnace) is also an excessive shrinkage of the heated plate material, since here only the static friction the contact surface stands in the way of the aforementioned memory effect.
The invention has for its object a Aufheizvorrich development with which plastic sheets could be heated sen, which after heat treatment in particular improved Have surface quality.
Starting from the device described above, this object is achieved in that the teflon fabric is a breathable porous PTFE glass fabric film, which has a porosity of preferably about 50 cubic feet per minute ( 1 cubic foot corresponds to about 0.028 m³).
Has proven particularly suitable in the tests carried out that of the company Polytetra Draack + Meyer GmbH under the entered registered trademark POLYTETRAFLON proven product.
The tests carried out have confirmed that with a breathing porous PTFE glass fabric film the formation of air chambers safely prevent under the plastic plate to be heated leaves. The heated plastic plates have a surface Quality based on what you have never seen with a hotplate was aim. The warm-up time is with the front according to the invention direction reduced and exactly reproducible because the plate mat rial quickly has full contact with the heating element.
Since the PTFE glass fabric film through the glass fabric a struktu rated surface, but not in the softened impression of the material surface of the plastic plate is it is expedient to apply a pressure to the counterpressure plate provide metering device. It is advantageous if too Start of loading the inserted plastic plate with the lowered counter pressure plate its full weight is sam, since this creates a better pressure build-up at the beginning of the Warming phase and a quick full contact to the heating element is promoted. On the other hand, the back pressure should then exerted weight force on the plastic plate be as small as possible when the fully heated plastic plate lies flat on the heated table surface.
The acceleration of the heating achieved according to the invention thermoplastic sheet is gentle on the material and prevents excessive extruded shrinkage Plastics. As the material heats up in the panels swells slightly around the edge, the plastic plate becomes as in a clamping frame between the counter pressure plate and the heated held on the table surface and thus against excessive shrinkage hindered.

The counter-pressure plate 3 is on its upper side with bolts 5 , which are guided vertically in fixed guides 6 and allow a displacement of the counter-pressure plate 3 in a direction perpendicular to the table surface 1 . The plastic plate 2 or its outer edge is loaded with the full Ge weight F of the counter-pressure plate 3 . The clear distance between the two coverings 4 is designated A, while B denotes the distance of the bolt head 7 serving as a stop from the abutment. According to Fig. 1 of the plates may A1 distance z at the beginning of the heat treatment. B. 10 mm and the distance B1 z. B. 6 mm. With continuous heating and thus plastification of the thermoplastic sheet 2 , the position shown in FIG. 2 results, in which A2 z. B. 5 mm and B2 z. B. 1 mm. Fig. 4 is intended to make it clear that when the plasticized plastic plate 2 is pressed flat, the air enclosed between its underside and the table surface 1 can escape through the porosity of the PTFE glass fabric film 4 . Fig. 5 then shows the end position of the counter-pressure plate 3 , which rests with its bolt heads 7 on the fixed guide 6 or the abutments formed thereby and thereby forms a pressure-free system for the plastic plate 2 . A3 is z in this end position. B. 4 mm, while B3 = 0.
Der Plattenabstand A1 be trägt z. B. 10 mm, die Länge B1 der Druckfeder 8 z. B. 14 mm. Fig. 6 shows in a representation according to FIG. 1, a constructively modified embodiment with a dynamic guidance of the counter-pressure plate 3 , which now hangs on compression springs 8 , which with their lower end on the associated abutment 6 and with their upper end on the bolt head 7th support. At the beginning ( Fig. 6), the compression springs 8 are almost completely relaxed, so that the plastic plate 2 with the full weight F of the Ge pressure plate 3 is applied. The plate distance A1 be z. B. 10 mm, the length B1 of the compression spring 8 z. B. 14 mm. In the phase shown in Fig. 7, the plastic plate 2 is only subjected to a force which results from the weight of the counter-pressure plate 3 minus the spring force F1. In this phase A2 is z. B. 5 mm and the length B2 of the somewhat compressed compression springs 8 only 9 mm.
In the final phase shown in FIG. 8, the compression springs 8 , which are compressed by a further millimeter, develop an even greater counterforce, so that the force symbolized by the correspondingly small arrow, with which the plastic plate 2 is acted upon, is even smaller than during the phase shown in FIG .
B. 10 mm, A2 5 mm und A3 4 mm.The embodiment shown in FIGS. 9 to 11 differs from that of FIGS . 6 to 8 in that the Ge pressure plate 3 no longer depends on the compression springs 8 but rests thereon, and the compression springs 8 exert a constant spring force F 1 . But even with this modified exporting is approximately form the force with which the plastic sheet is applied to 2 on the platen 3 while the Erwär mung phase decreased due to the reaction force F₁. A1 here is z. B. 10 mm, A2 5 mm and A3 4 mm.
