Abstract
Description
It is intended to be an optic for endoscopy, hereinafter referred to as Endoscope labeled, with a shade Lighting to be developed in such a way that Objects observed optics, e.g. B. surgical Instruments, a shadow on the Observation background, e.g. B. throw an organ.
It is basically known that a rigid endoscope is made optics used for imaging and one Light source for illuminating the viewed object consists. It is also known from the patent EP 03 69 937 A1 that the light source with a parallel to the optical axis of the optics lying fiber bundle, so called optical fiber is realized. In the Glass fiber bundle is according to the state of the art on proximal end (the side facing the user) via another glass fiber bundle, the so-called Light guide cable, the light from an extreme light source coupled. The light is transmitted through the glass fiber bundle to the distal end (that of the viewed object facing side). The light source shines thus from the direction of the viewer towards the object. It it is also known from radiation optics that between Observer and observed object, here in the following Picture background called, brought objects none Cast shadows on the image background if the Beam axis of the light source and the optical image axis of the observer collapse.
This is the reason why, as of today technology in endoscopy surgical instruments do not cast a shadow on the organs under consideration.
Die Stärke bzw. der Kontrast des Schattens hängt maßgeblich von der Lichtstärke der Lichtquelle ab.However, it is also known from radiation optics that when the ray axis of the light source and the optical Image axis of the observer from a different one Stand towards an object from this Object a shadow on the image background is thrown. The size and location of the shadow depends on the angle between the optical image axis of the Observer and the beam axis of the light source and from the distance of the object to the image background from. The strength or contrast of the shadow depends largely depends on the light intensity of the light source.
It is also known that due to the endoscopic, two-dimensional image There is no depth information about the space under consideration and that hereby the spatial imagination of the Doctor is restricted. Is further restricted the spatial imagination of the doctor through the Lack of shadow.
It is also known that with surgical interventions energetic therapy devices, e.g. B. radio frequency Surgery or laser surgery, the distal end of the Endoscopes, especially the optics, are contaminated or fogged up.
It has now surprisingly been found that one second, additional fiber optic bundle in this way Endoscope can integrate that shadow comes about and thus the physician the spatial Orientation in the endoscopic body cavity considerably is facilitated. According to the invention, this is the second Glass fiber bundle with its beam axis at an angle α not equal to zero (α ≠ 0) aligned with the image axis.
In a preferred embodiment, a rigid optical system ( 1 ) with a first glass fiber bundle ( 2 ) radiating parallel to the image axis ( 4 ), a second at an angle α ( 5 ) not equal to zero (α ≠ 0) to the image axis radiating glass fiber bundle ( 3 ) integrated. All three optical systems end at the distal end of the endoscope ( 11 ). In order to set the angle α not equal to zero (α ≠ 0) to the image axis, the glass fibers are ground at the angle β ( 12 ). The angles α and β are directly related. The light for the glass fiber bundles ( 2 , 3 ) is coupled separately into the respective optical cable connections ( 6 , 7 ). The light from the two glass fiber bundles ( 2 , 3 ) overlaps in the room under consideration. According to the invention, an object ( 8 ) introduced into the viewing space casts a shadow ( 9 ) on the image background ( 10 ).
In continuation of the inventive concept, the glass fiber bundle ( 3 ) ends at a distance d from the distal end of the endoscope ( 11 ). By a sensible choice of the distance d (5 to 50 mm according to the invention), the shadow effect is set with high contrast by specifically setting the angle α.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the glass fibers ( 3 ) are not ground at an angle β ( 12 ), but are positioned with a planar end at a distance d from the distal end. The shadow effect can be adjusted by the axial position of the glass fibers ( 3 ) to the image axis ( 4 ).
In a consistent continuation of the inventive concept, the light guide cable connections ( 6 , 7 ) of the glass fiber bundles ( 2 , 3 ) are integrated in a light guide cable connection ( 13 ). The amount of light to be transmitted per glass fiber bundle ( 2 , 3 ) is set by the number of glass fibers in the respective glass fiber bundles ( 2 , 3 ).
In a particular embodiment, the endoscope is designed with an insufflation channel ( 14 ) and a rinsing channel ( 15 ). Through the insuflation channel z. B. CO₂ gas are insufliert and through the flushing channel NaCl solution.
In a preferred embodiment, a means for beam shaping ( 16 , 17 ) is attached to the respective distal ends of the insufflation channel ( 14 ) and the irrigation channel ( 15 ), so that the distal end of the endoscope ( 11 ) and in particular with the aid of the gas flow and liquid flow the image entry surface of the optics ( 1 ) can be cleaned.
In a consistent continuation of the inventive concept, a heater is integrated into the endoscope in such a way that insufflation gas, flushing liquid and optics ( 1 ) are kept at body temperature and fogging of the distal image entry surface of the optics ( 1 ) is avoided.
Fig. 1 shows the rigid endoscope with the integrated optics ( 1 ), the glass fiber bundles ( 2 , 3 ) and the fiber optic cable connections ( 6 , 7 ). The optical image axis ( 4 ) and the angle α ( 5 ) between the optical image axis ( 4 ) and the beam axis of the glass fiber bundle ( 3 ) are shown. The glass fiber bundle ( 3 ) is ground at an angle β ( 12 ). An object ( 8 ) introduced into the viewing space casts a shadow ( 9 ) on the image background ( 10 ).
Fig. 2 shows the proximal end of the same endoscope ( 1 ) as shown in Fig. 1, only that the glass fiber bundles ( 2 , 3 ) are combined in an optical cable connection ( 13 ).
Fig. 3 shows the distal end of the endoscope ( 11 ) in a special embodiment with an integrated insufflation channel ( 14 ) and a rinsing channel ( 15 ), the respective distal ends of the insufflation channel ( 14 ) and the rinsing channel ( 15 ) with a means for beam shaping ( 16 , 17 ) are completed.
