Anzeigevorrichtung zur Anzeige von farbigen Bildern mit einem LCD-Bildschirm, welcher mehrere in ihrem Trans­ missionsvermögen schaltbare, einzelnen Bildpunkten zuge­ ordnete Segmente aufweist, mit einem hinter dem LCD-Bildschirm angeordneten, zur Durchleuchtung des LCD-Bildschirms mittels mehrerer Lichtquellen ausgebildeten Lichtkasten und mit einer Ansteuereinheit zum Ansteuern der Segmente und der Lichtquellen, dadurch gekennzeich­ net, daß für jede Grundfarbe zumindest eine Lichtquelle (Leuchtdiode 5-7) vorgesehen ist und daß die Ansteuer­ einheit (3) zum Zusammensetzen des farbigen Bildes aus den Grundfarben durch ein aufeinanderfolgendes Ansteuern der die einzelnen Grundfarben erzeugenden Lichtquellen (Leuchtdiode 5-7) zeitgleich mit den der jeweiligen Grundfarbe zugeordneten Segmenten (4) ausgebildet ist.1.
