Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for thermal processing of a substrate, a mixture for feeding during a thermal Processing and on a device for thermal processing of a Substrate.
It is known to thermally process substrates. When editing can be, for example, the application of a layer to the substrate act. There are various ways of applying a layer to a substrate Process known. For example, a layer after the HVOF spray process or applied by plasma spraying. In which Plasma spraying creates a plasma gas with high ionization Temperature and high conductivity. A powdered spray material is used introduced into the plasma flame using a conveying gas, melted, accelerated and with high kinetic energy on the surface to be coated Sprayed substrate. The temperature of a plasma can be between 3,000 and 50,000 K. Due to the high temperature of the plasma jet the substrate and the spray material are subjected to very high thermal loads. During the spraying process, structural changes, faults can occur and a warpage of the substrate and optionally the sprayed layer come. To ensure a sufficiently firm connection between the thermal sprayed layer and a substrate, it is necessary that Treat substrate before spraying. Here are to be layered surfaces of a substrate cleaned, so that foreign substances, such as e.g. B. dirt, rust, etc., removed and removed at the same time a certain roughness is generated. Cleaning the surface of a Substrate can be done by sandblasting. With this cleaning method Remnants of abrasive remain on the rough surface. After the waiter surface of a substrate has been cleaned, the time between the Cleaning process and the thermal coating of the substrate as possible be small. According to DIN 8567, the outsourcing time, H. the time between the cleaning process and the subsequent spraying process if possible be short, d. H. limited to a maximum of two days.
It is known that in arc spraying the porosity in the spray layer can be reduced by blasting with ceramic balls if this shot peening follows immediately after the spray jet, cf. "Welding and Cutting" 47 (1995), No. 5, pages 343-355. It is already proposed by DE-C2 42 36 911, part of the Spray powder as a blasting agent for the treatment of the substrate surface use by only partially heating this part of the wettable powder particles and thus sprayed onto the surface in a solid state. However, this procedure leads to an increased consumption of Spray material. Such an increased consumption of the spray material is uneconomical because the spray material is relatively expensive.
The adhesive strength of thermally sprayed layers is not only due to the Surface treatment of the substrate but also by the heat input of the spray jet influenced in the substrate or in the layer. In this The internal stresses, which mostly act as tensile stresses, play a connection manifest a role. These tensile stresses are related with further influences often to failure of the layer on the substrate.
To reduce the thermal influence on the spray layer by the Compressed air or others are usually used to introduce heat from the working jet Compressed gases, especially carbon dioxide or nitrogen, on the upper part blown surface. Through the measures described above although individual factors influencing the adhesive strength of a thermally sprayed Coating reduced. The basic problem of the occurrence of These measures reduce tensile stress in the coated substrate but not eliminated.
The present invention has for its object the influence of To reduce tensile stress in a thermally processed substrate. In particular, the effectiveness of thermal spray machining is said to be increased will. Another object of the invention is to provide a mixture which is particularly suitable for feeding during thermal processing. Furthermore, a device for the thermal processing of a Substrate can be specified.
These objectives are achieved through a process with the features of the claim 1, a mixture with the features of claim 12 or by a Device with the features of claim 21 achieved. Beneficial Further developments and refinements are the subject of the dependent An claims.
The inventive method for thermal processing, in particular for spray coating a substrate is characterized in that at least one jet of one under pressure during processing standing multiphase mixture in an environment of the working beam, ins particular of a plasma spray jet that flows onto the substrate. The Mehrp rabbit mixture is preferably a two-phase mixture. The multiphase cone Mix contains at least a first gaseous and a second solid Component. The solid component sublimates when opened hit the surface of the substrate or layer or shortly thereafter. By feeding a multi-phase mixture into the work environment beam onto the surface of the substrate becomes an intense surface cool achieved by the gas phase and the subliming solid particles. Before preferably the solid component of the jet is in the form of Dry ice particles. Dry ice is solid Physical state transferred carbon dioxide. Goes under atmospheric pressure Dry ice immediately from the solid state to the gaseous, without creating a melt fluid.
The jet of the multi-phase mixture is leading the working jet formed, so the surface is cleaned by means of the dry ice particles reached. Cleaning with dry ice also has the advantage that no residues of dry ice remain on the surface of the substrate ben. The individual dry ice particles carry the contaminants as well large roughness peaks and reactivate the surface to be coated of the substrate immediately before the spraying process.
By using dry ice there is also additional cooling of the substrate because the dry ice is at a temperature of is at least -78.5 ° C.
During a plasma spraying process, a so-called process is created on the substrate Overspray, which is caused by spray particles not adhering and along the hot gas flowing out of the substrate surface from the spraying process is formed. To cool down the overspray, the jet is suggested of the multi-phase mixture trailing towards the plasma jet the. In addition to cooling the overspray, the jet of the Multi-phase mixture the overspray towards the surface of the be layered substrate. As a result, the now partially hard spray particles of the overspray included in the blasting process. The spray particles and destroy the particles of the multiphase mixture by their high Total impulse is the outflow of hot gases along the substrate surface.
The sublimation of the solid component in the jet also creates a increasingly inert atmosphere around the working beam, ins special of a plasma jet. Preferably, the beam of the Multi-phase mixture deflected relative to the working beam, so that Multi-phase mixture at an angle to the spray direction on the top surface of the substrate occurs. This will cool the wettable powder particles and the gas phase out of the effective range of the working beam directs what leads to the better formation of a shift.
Further advantages and features of the invention are described in the Drawing illustrated embodiment explained.
A cylindrical substrate 1 is arranged rotatably about an axis 13 . A plasmatron 2 is arranged above the substrate 1 , through which the surface 14 of the substrate 1 is coated. The plasmatron generates a working beam 3 to the surface 14 of the substrate. The working beam 3 contains a coating material which forms a layer 9 on the surface 14 of the substrate 1 . The substrate 1 rotates clockwise at approximately 500 rpm. The plasmatron 2 can be displaced along the longitudinal axis 13 of the substrate 1 . The feed speed of the plasma cartridge 2 is approximately 5 m / min.
Der Trockeneisverbrauch liegt bei etwa 20 kg/h.A device 4 , 5 is arranged on each side of the plasma cartridge 2 . The device 4 or 5 generates a beam 11 or 12 of a multi-phase mixture, which are each directed towards the surface 14 of the substrate 1 ge. The jet 11 , 12 is a high-pressure two-phase mixture jet which is directed onto the surface 14 of the component 1 or onto the layer 9 with a jet pressure of approximately 6 bar. The two-phase mixture is formed by compressed air and dry ice particles. The compressed air consumption is around 60 m³ / h. Dry ice consumption is around 20 kg / h.
The thermal spraying process takes place as plasma powder spraying with an electrical output of approximately 50 kW. In this case, powdered aluminum oxide is heated up in the plasma jet 3 and sprayed against the substrate 1 , so that the spray layer 9 forms on the surface thereof. The application rate corresponds to approximately 60%, so that an overspray 10 of approximately 40% from non-adhesive spray particles can be observed. The overspray 10 is deflected laterally together with the still hot gases out of the working jet 3 , as is indicated by the arrow 6 . The overspray 10 collides with the jet 11 or 12 and is destroyed by it.
The jet 11 of the multiphase mixture cleans the surface 14 of the substrate 1 in the area 7 . The beam 12 of the multiphase mixture strikes the layer 9 in the region 8 . Both jets 11 and 12 lead to an air displacement in the area of the working jet 3 , whereby an increasingly inert atmosphere is generated.
