Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for Ab separating particles from a melt of a thermoplastic plastic with the characteristics of the generic term of Pa claim 1.
To ensure trouble-free processing of a thermoplastic To allow plastic, it is known downstream of the Ex truders the corresponding melt of the thermoplastic Filter plastic. This is usually a Filter used in the flow of the melt of the extruded thermoplastic arranged in this way is that its planar filter surface is transverse to the main flow direction of the plastic melt is arranged.
The known filter device described above each has but the disadvantage that this is the separation of the Particles available filter area with regard to their Size is limited by the fact that the size of the filter surface che in the known device always after Cross-sectional area of the corresponding pipe, channel or Channel section aimed in the known filter device is installed.
The present invention has for its object a Device for separating unwanted particles to provide a plastic melt in which the filter area is variable.
This object is achieved by a device for Separation of particles from a thermopla melt plastic with the characteristic features of the Claim 1 solved.
The device according to the invention for separating particles from a melt of a thermoplastic, the subsequently also briefly only as a device according to the invention device or filter device is referred to, has at least a filter, this filter being at least one Has filter surface in the melt flow of the thermo plastic is arranged. The min at least as a filter in the device according to the invention cylindrical or cylindrical filter designed, wherein the outer surface is the actual filter surface of the cylindri forms or cylindrical filter. The cylinder cal or cylindrical filter is in the invention Device relative to the flow direction of the melt in such a way arranged that the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical or cylindrical filter mainly in the main flow direction extends. To the desired separation of the unwanted Reaching particles from the plastic melt is at the device according to the invention, the filter surface of the mind least a cylindrical or cylindrical filter from flows through the plastic melt.
The device according to the invention has a number of advantages len on. This is because the device according to the invention tion at least one cylindrical or cylindrical filter has, the actual filter area by the Lateral surface of the at least one filter is formed, is compared to the known filter described above device even if the device according to the invention tion has only a single filter, not the filter surface through the cross-sectional area of the pipe, channel or channel Section in which the device according to the invention is arranged net is limited. This is due to the fact that through a Variation of the axial length of the filter as a jacket provided filter area can be enlarged and expanded almost at will the respective degree of contamination of the filter Plastic melt is adaptable, which in the known Fil device is not possible. Another variation of Filter capacity can in the device according to the invention be brought about by the fact that a large number of cylindri rule or cylindrical filters is provided. This how therefore, compared to the known filter device the filter device according to the invention a we has significantly longer service life before the invention Device can be regenerated or disassembled for cleaning got to. This makes it understandable that the application of the Device according to the invention is much more economical than the application of the known, with a planar filter surface provided device, since in the invention Device of the extrusion process much less often must be broken to the appropriate filter areas clean. Furthermore, it was surprisingly found who that that in most cases by the invention Filter device built back pressure compared to that back pressure built up by the known filter device is much smaller, so that accordingly Throughput of plastic melt per unit of time when used the device according to the invention is significantly larger.
As already explained above, the device according to the invention the number of filters according to the each required filter capacity, d. H. thus after the Desired service life of the filter device and / or the degree of contamination of the plastic melt. Before the device according to the invention preferably has between 2 and 50 filters, especially between 5 and 30 filters on where for all longitudinal axes of the cylindrical or cylindrical Filters are aligned essentially parallel to each other.
Especially when all filters have the same axial length have and preferably also otherwise identical are designed, can be in the Vorrich invention tion across the cross-section of the pipe, duct or duct Cut seen identical in the area of the filter device Achieve flow profiles, which increases the time throughput Plastic melt is evened out and increased and the Back pressure caused by the filter device is reduced becomes.
As already above with the device according to the invention is set out, the at least one filter surface of each filter from the plastic to be filtered flows through the melt. Regarding the direction of the flows mung exist in the device according to the invention two Possibilities, whereby the first possibility provides that the Filter device is arranged and designed such that the liquid and filterable plastic as a jacket filter surface from the inside to the outside flows. In other words, with this option, the Plastic melt introduced into the filter cylinder and from out through the filter surface and fil trated.
The second possibility provides that with the ß device each filter so to the direction of flow to be filtered plastic melt is arranged that the Plastic melt any cylindrical or cylindrical Flows through filter from outside to inside. In other words with this second possibility, the melted and plastic flow to be deflected so that the Plastic melt first passes through the filter area and there according to the inside of the cylindrical or cylindrical Filters arrives to be transported on from there will. This second option is particularly useful then when the plastic melt is very dirty and when cleaning the filter surface according to the invention Device is removed, since this is then on the outside The outer surface of each filter contains these dirt particles are collected so that they are easily removed accordingly can be.
To the two possibilities of Flow through the filter in the Vorrich invention tion particularly effective and with little effort to re alise sees a particularly advantageous embodiment the device according to the invention that each cylindrical or cylindrical filter arranged on the head side Closure element and a bottom arranged, with mind at least one passage opening provided having.
In particular, when in the previously described embodiment tion form the closure element designed as a closure cap is, this cap then a curved surface che, preferably like a segment of a circle and / or concavely curved Surface, has, the flow profile of the plastic melt evenly in the area of the filter, so that all Filters always with an identical plastic partial flow be supplied. This in turn contributes to the fact that the the multitude of filters built up back pressure is reduced and that downstream of the device according to the invention uniform flow profile prevails, so that the downstream the filter device arranged tool or the downstream the filter device provided nozzle evenly and with constant flow profile on filtered plastic melt is fed. This also prevents Flow dead zones are formed.
To in the previously described embodiment of the device according to the invention an easy cleaning of the fil Enabling surfaces is a particularly suitable option Training before that the Ver closing element, in particular the cap, releasably with connected to the filter. When cleaning, it is le diglich required, the filter device according to the invention from the corresponding pipe, channel or channel section build and the closure element of the cylindrical or zy to solve lindelike filter, so that then the corresponding Lateral surface of the filter, which is also the actual Filter surface forms, removed and cleaned or replaced can be.
Another embodiment of the filter according to the invention direction has such a filter or filters, at of each filter surface of each filter for stabilization the position of the filter surface during the flow with a Plastic melt assigned at least one support element is. Here is this support element as an internal one Support element designed, the filter surface is then when filtering or backwashing, d. H. at a through flow of the filter from the outside in, on this inside ing support element, making even at a high Pressure of the plastic melt fixes the position of the fil surface takes place and thus a compression of the zy cylindrical or cylindrical filter is prevented. It was surprisingly found that such internal support element the time throughput of Plastic melt not reduced or that of the filter called back pressure increased.
To the previously mentioned fixing of the position of the filter surface particularly safe during filtering or backwashing to represent, sees an advantageous development of the he inventive device that the inner Ab support element over the entire axial length of the Filter surface extending inner support core be sits. Extends from this inner support core a plurality of webs radially outwards, such that at least one radially outer region of each web in Contact with the surface of the cylindrical or zy linder-like filter formed filter surface and this when the filter flows through from outside to inside supports.
A particularly secure mounting of the filter surface against one possible deformation when filtering is given if the webs described above over the entire axial Extend the length of the filter surface. This will then result in within the cylindrical or cylindrical filter axially extending guide channels for the plastic melt formed, whereby the flow conditions on and especially optimized in the filter.
However, in order to improve the previously described further development of device according to the invention to prevent that in the sem radially outer land area on which the filter surface supports during filtration, forms a current dead zone, which may worsen the flow conditions become particularly advantageous further training before that this radially outer web area with flow guide elements is provided, these flow control elements in usually the turbulence of the plastic melt in the previous one increase described radially outer land area.
Particularly excellent flow conditions are at the filter device according to the invention set when the aforementioned flow control elements as one in the ra the outer web areas cut thread are det, this embodiment then the additional Chen advantage includes that they are relatively inexpensive to manufacture is cash.
Regarding the cleaning of the filter surfaces in the Invention according device is to be noted that these filter surfaces can of course be cleaned in that one removes the filter device and an exchange or a Cleaning the filter surfaces. Particularly advantageous however, it is so when the filter device according to the invention is arranged in the flow of the plastic melt that the Filter device for filtering the plastic melt in flowing through a first direction while cleaning then a reversal of the flow direction of the plastic melt is brought about, like this before and after standing as backwashing and for the conventional configured filter device, for example in the unpublished German application 195 09 059.4 be is written.
To flow through the filter from the inside out, like this for both filtering and backwashing can be applied, an unwanted laying of the filter prevent further development is provided by further training from the written embodiment of the device according to the invention before that each filter surface of each filter at least a mounting element for fixing the position of the same is arranged. This bracket element causes that even at a high pressure that flows through the filter surface plastic melt from the inside out, no publishers tion of the filter surface and therefore no damage to the Filters done.
In particular, this mounting element is a mounting basket formed, the holder basket in its shape to the Filter is adapted such that the holder basket the Fil surface with a radially outward deformation supports.
To support the filter surface of a previously described every filter is particularly good, technically simple and safe reach, the support member, preferably the Hal filter basket, also like the filter a cylindrical or cylindrical shape, the diameter of the cylin drische or cylindrical support element or holding tion basket is only slightly larger than the diameter of the cylindrical or cylindrical filter, so that Bracket element or the bracket basket ge over the filter can be put over and locked onto it by suitable means becomes.
The lateral surface of the mounting element is preferably lattice-like, but it is also possible is, instead of the grid-like design at a distance provide axially extending support webs or the mounting element with a variety of holes in to provide its outer surface.
Especially when the device according to the invention for Cleaning the filter from the corresponding pipe, sewer or Canal section must be expanded, it lends itself to that Develop device according to the invention such that it has a common base plate on which a variety arranged and held by filters. Here it is then only necessary to the common base plate disassemble so that all filters are accessible. Become in addition, the filter is then detachable on the common ground plate arranged, so each filter can be Cleaning after dismantling the base plate and the Filter surface to be cleaned accordingly.
In order to clean the filter described above, which is a De assembly of the device according to the invention requires, still To simplify further, it makes sense to join the common circular base plate fasteners for attachment the same in one through which the plastic melt flows Provide pipe, duct or duct section. This fastener supply elements are then preferably designed so that egg on the other hand, the device according to the invention quickly and easily can be assembled and disassembled, and that on the other hand by designing this mounting element during assembly the device according to the invention inevitably Base plate essentially perpendicular to the flow direction the plastic melt to be filtered extends so that accordingly, the fil attached to the base plate ter are aligned to the main flow direction that their Ver longitudinal axes in the flow direction of the plastic melt to run.
Another ease of assembly and disassembly of the he The device according to the invention is achieved in that another embodiment of the device according to the invention tion, all filters have a common top-side closure element ment is assigned, which is preferably detachable with the filters connected is. Especially if the last described the two above versions are combined, d. H. if the device according to the invention a common reason plate and a common head-side closure element indicates, such an embodiment of the inventions Install the device according to the invention very quickly and easily or disassemble and also has the advantage that an undesirable displacement of the filters during use cannot occur.
Advantageous further developments of the device according to the invention tion are specified in the subclaims.

In FIGS. 1 to 8, the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals.
A total in FIGS. 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 with 1 be designated device for separating particles from a melt of a thermoplastic has a plurality of filters 2 , with each device seven filters in the two embodiments shown 2 has, as can best be seen in FIGS. 2, 5 and 7. The seven filters shown in FIG. 2 have an identical structure, as can best be seen in detail in FIG. 1 for the first embodiment.
Also, the seven filters 2 of the second embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 8 have an identical structure, but this structure differs from the structure as shown in FIG. 1 and is enlarged and schematically shown in perspective in FIG. 4 is shown.
The first embodiment of the filter 2 shown in FIG. 1 has a cylindrical filter surface 3 , the cylindrical, three-layer filter surface 3 forming the outer surface of the filter 2 .
In order to prevent deformation of the filter surface 3 when it flows through it in the direction of the arrow 20 ( FIGS. 2 and 3), ie from the outside inwards, each filter 2 has a support element, designated overall by 6 , which is arranged inside the filter 2 is. This support element comprises a support core 7 which extends over the entire axial length of the filter surface 3 . From this inner support core 7 , a plurality of webs 8 extends radially outward, the two Ausfüh approximate shapes shown in the drawing each have six such webs 8 . Each web 8 extends like the support core 7 over the entire axial length of the filter surface 3 and is formed in one piece with the support core 7 . The webs 8 and the support core 7 form five guide channels 31 for the plastic melt flowing inside the filter 2 .
Each web 8 has a plurality of flow guide elements on its radial outer region 9 , which are designed as threads 10 , as can best be seen in FIGS. 1 and 4. A cap-shaped closure element 4 is provided on the top of each filter 2 , the surface of which is curved, as can best be seen in FIGS. 3 and 6. On the foot side, each filter 2 has a closing element 5 , the closing element 5 being provided with through openings 15 for the plastic melt, as can also best be seen in FIGS . 3 and 6. The end elements 5 of all filters 2 form a common base plate 13 , the base plate 13 with fastening elements 14 for attaching the device 1 in a tube, channel or channel section downstream of the plastic extruder ( FIGS. 3, 6).
The first embodiment described above in connection with FIGS. 1 to 3 differs from the second embodiment according to FIGS . 4 to 8 in that the second embodiment of the device 1 has filter 2 , which additionally has a basket-shaped mounting element 11 have, as is best seen in Fig. 4 he. Here, the cylindrical support basket 11 has a lattice-shaped lateral surface 12 , wherein in FIG. 4 this holder basket 11 and its latticed lateral surface 12 are only partially shown. Otherwise, the filter 2 according to the first embodiment ( FIGS. 1 to 3) and the filter 2 according to the second embodiment ( FIGS. 4 to 8) do not differ, so that in order to avoid repetitions, reference is made to the above statements, which also for the second embodiment shown in FIGS . 4 to 8 apply.
The support basket 11 is supported on its lattice-shaped jacket surface 12, the three-layer filter surface 3 against deformation when the plastic melt flows through the filter 2 in the direction of arrow 21 , as indicated in FIGS. 7 and 8, this flow direction as above Flow through the cylindrical filter 2 from the inside to the outside was designated.
The first embodiment of the device 1 described above in connection with FIGS. 1 to 3 operates as follows.
First, the device 1 is arranged downstream of the plastic extruder in the flow of the plastic melt, as shown in Fig. 3. In this position, the longitudinal axis of each filter 2 extends predominantly in the main flow direction 23 of the melt, as is indicated in FIG. 3 by the large number of arrows 23 . Due to the fact that each filter 2 has a closure cap 4 on the head side, which prevents the plastic melt from penetrating into the filter, the plastic melt is forced to flow through the filter surface 3 in the direction of arrow 20 from the outside inward, so that a corresponding separation of unwanted Particles takes place outside on the filter surface. The plastic melt filtered in this way then passes through the openings 15 of the closure element 5 to a tool arranged downstream of the device or seen in the flow direction of the plastic melt or to a nozzle arranged downstream, where a corresponding processing of the cleaned plastic melt then takes place.
After a corresponding production time has expired, the filter surface 3 is then loaded, so that cleaning is necessary. For this purpose, the device is then dismantled so that it is accessible from the outside. Then each filter 2 is either replaced, the filter 2 being releasably connected to the base plate 13 via a corresponding threaded connection, or each filter 2 is cleaned by first unscrewing the closure cap 4 from the support element 6 , so that the filter surface 3 is accessible and can be cleaned or replaced accordingly.
The second embodiment of the device 1 for separating particles from a plastic melt shown in FIGS. 4 to 8 works in the filtering position in exactly the same way as was described above in connection with FIGS. 1 to 3 for the first embodiment. In contrast to this, however, the filters 2 of the device 1 shown in FIG. 5 still have the basket-shaped holding element 11 , so that in the filtering position the grid-shaped outer surface 12 of the basket-like holding element 11 and then the actual filter surface 3 is flowed through, as is the case with the plurality of arrows 20 in Fig. 5 is expressed. Otherwise, the second embodiment of the device 1 works in its filtering position exactly as described above in detail for the first embodiment, so that reference is made to this.
The essential difference between the second embodiment of the device 1 and the first embodiment of the device 1 is that in the second embodiment for cleaning the filter 2 the device 1 does not have to be removed. Rather, there is preferably backwashing, as is basically described for conventional filters for example in German patent application 195 09 059.4, this backwashing being shown in detail in FIGS . 7 and 8.
As best can be seen from 8 Fig., Is carried out during backwashing of the filter 2 of the device 1, so that this processing is now more in the direction of arrow 24 to the base plate 13 of the Vorrich 1 abuts a reversal of the direction of flow of the plastic melt. Here the flow of the plastic melt then divides, so that corresponding partial flows pass through the through openings 15 provided in each closure element 5 into the interior of each filter 2 , as indicated by the arrows 25 .
Due to the fact that each filter 2 is provided with a tight sealing cap 4 , the partial flow of the plastic melt then exits through the filter surface 3 , as shown by the arrows 21 in FIG. 8. Here, the grid-shaped lateral surface 12 of the basket-like mounting element 11 prevents the filter surface 3 from being deformed in an undesirable manner. The plastic stream loaded with contaminants is then discharged to the atmosphere and discarded.
In the two embodiments of the device 1 described above, an operating mode is described in which the melt flows through the filter 2 from the inside to the outside for cleaning the plastic melt. This flow is achieved in that the device 1 is aligned relative to the extruder or a conveyor for the plastic melt, as is shown in the drawing, ie in this orientation the kappenför shaped closure element 4 to the extruder or to the Fördereinrich device out so that all filters 2 are flowed through from the outside in during filtering.
A particularly uniform flow through all filters 2 is achieved when the filter 2 shown in the drawing is pivoted through 180 °, so that the end element 5 provided on the base of each filter 2 then points towards the extruder or the conveying device, so that the Filters 2 are flowed through from inside to outside for filtering the plastic melt and from outside to inside during backwashing. This orientation of the filter 2 ensures that all the dirt particles present in the plastic melt are accumulated inside the filter 2 , without causing unwanted and possibly disruptive swirls to occur.
In order to prevent ver at particularly high pressures of the plastic melt that when the filter 2 flows from the inside to the outside during filtering, the filter surfaces 3 are deformed radially outward, the basket-like holding element 11 previously described in connection with the second embodiment is provided.
