Eine entgegengesetzte Drehung im Uhrzeigersinne ist jedoch nicht möglich, solange auf das Markisentuch ein Zug in Pfeilrichtung ausgeübt wird. Läßt jedoch der Zug auf das Markisentuch nach, was beispielsweise bei Gelenkarmmarkisen dann eintreten kann, wenn ein Windstoß unter die ausgefahrene Markise faßt und die Ausfallprofilleiste 27 hochgeschleudert wird, gelangen die Klinkenzähne 40 außer Eingriff mit den Sperrzähnen 41. Die mit Spiel in der Ausfallprofilleiste 27 angeordnete Randleiste 15 kann sich dann auch im Uhrzeigersinne drehen, wodurch sich das Markisentuch 13 von der Randleiste ganz abwickelt und länger wird.
