Abstract

The test chamber, with a variable vol. to register and analyse emissions from test bodies, holds the test body for a defined time span, under set conditions, for matter to be released into the controlled atmosphere of the test and emission chamber in a closed system. When the emission time has ended, part of the vol. of the test chamber atmosphere is defined and extracted for analysis without altering the system parameters of the test chamber apart from a change in the chamber vol. At no time is there accidental contact or exchange of matter between the system of the test chamber atmosphere and the ambient environment or other systems.

Description

The invention relates to a test or Emission chamber with variable cam mervolume to record and analyze Emissions from test specimens.

Emission is the submission of Fabrics to the environment or the surrounding de atmosphere, in case of emission inside half of the test chamber, to the atmosphere in inside the test chamber.

The use of test chambers is also known constant volume, where with relative much effort the test chamber atmosphere and the flow and exchange relationships in  the chamber must be checked. The the main problem here is that ent neither the test chamber when removing Atmosphere for pressure equalization also defined supplied air must be filled and the Mixing old and new system atmosphere the sphere must be checked by measuring technology, or the emission in a "flowing" atmosphere re takes place.

This problem is inventively ge solves that in the test chamber with variable Volume no system exchange take place got to.

The test chamber consists of a container made of inert material. The material may do not emit their own emissions not contaminated by the substances to be tested be kidneyed.

The test chamber has an opening through it which the test specimen is placed in the chamber who can and who can be closed airtight that can.

The test chamber has at least one type provided over the test chamber evacuated, filled with a defined atmosphere and taken the atmosphere for analysis can be. On the attached sketch is is a test chamber with two connections posed. Ease two ports or more tern work with the test chamber, since none Connections must be changed.

The change in volume can be caused by two solutions can be realized:

  • a) durch eine in einer Richtung bewegliche fe ste Trennwand, die luftdicht abgedichtet ist, odera) by a one-way movable fe most partition that is sealed airtight, or
B. reißfeste Folie aus Kunststoff oder aus be schichtetem Kunststoff oder aus Metallfolie mit Kunststoffauflage, etc.b) by a flexible partition that connects to the Ver edges firmly and tightly with the chamber any flexible is suitable for this tear-resistant material that does not have its own Emits emissions and not through the test emissions are contaminated, e.g. B. tear-resistant plastic or be layered plastic or metal foil with plastic pad, etc.

In the following an embodiment is nä described here.

Fig. 1 shows the arrangement of the test chamber 1 in section with an inserted test specimens 2 and flexible system partition 3. To insert the test specimen 2 , the cover 4 is removed.

Fig. 2 shows the test chamber shortly before the complete evacuation with a pump 5 via the connection 6. The flexible partition 3 is almost completely at this stage on the test chamber wall. After complete evacuation, the flexible partition is completely against the walls of the test chamber. The volume of the test chamber is then V min = 0.

Fig. 3 shows the test chamber after filling said chamber with a defined gas (eg. B. protective gas or clean air or gas or technical defined mixture of different gases) over the terminal 7. The volume of the chamber is reproducibly adjustable and carries V₁ = V max at the end of the filling process.

Fig. 4 shows the test chamber in the removal of test chamber atmosphere for analysis. The volume after the removal of atmosphere for analysis V₂ = V₁ - V test .
