Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Transistorver-The invention relates to a transistor arrangement

Steuerspannung veränderbaren, wechselstrommäßig wirksamen Widerstandes, bei dem wechselstrommäßig an den Kollektor und den Emitter* 5 stronger with an emitter and a collector resistor as well as a gain control by means of a variable by a regulating or control voltage, in terms of alternating current effective resistance, in which in terms of alternating current to the collector and the emitter

In telecommunications there is often the problem of using a variable input voltage in this way amplify that the output voltage remains constant. For this purpose it is necessary that the amplifier has a variable gain. To achieve this.
Durch die geeignete Wahl der Gittervorspannungcan, for example, be used in tube amplifiers It is common to use active quadrupoles with variable steepness. B. a steadily curved Grid voltage-anode current characteristic. Through the appropriate choice of the grid prestress
ß 5 different steepnesses and thus different reinforcements are achieved. However, since the characteristic curve is curved, the tube may only be modulated a little to avoid major distortions.
In the case of transistors, regulation is generally based on the curved base voltage-collector current characteristic curve also possible. However, the usable control range of such transistor amplifiers is electronic The shift in the DC operating point is very small and the characteristic curve is also in this range relatively strongly curved, so that the occurring Distortions of the signals to be transmitted are generally not permitted.
Gain control is also possible through the use of f0 variable resistors, for example thermistors or field probes. This principle can be used for both tube and transistor amplifiers. On the one hand, the resistors can be placed in the reinforcement cable as adjustable attenuators. On the other hand, the amplifiers can be fed back and the feedback can be changed with the adjustable resistors.
If the input voltage increases, then the negative feedback is increased to lower the gain. This increases the dynamic range of the amplifier and also reduces the distortion. Through circuits With such variable resistors, gain controls of about 2OdB per Achieve control level. This control range is often viewed as too low, because z. B. through the use thermistors this range is still limited by the fact that the ambient temperatures are very are high Based on the room temperature, however, the available thermistors only allow a change in resistance by about a power of ten.
The invention is based on the object of changing the gain of a control amplifier Using variable resistors to make it larger than the change in resistance and thus the control range to expand significantly.
According to the invention, which relates to a transistor amplifier of the type mentioned, is this object is achieved in that the emitter resistance and the collector resistance in their Values are the same size or differ slightly from each other and the two in addition Resistors connected to the emitter and the collector have the same values are large or differ slightly from each other, that also at the junction of the two in addition the collector and emitter connected resistors a summing resistor is connected, which the Sum of the additional resistances connected to the emitter and collector of the transistor absorbs flowing currents that also the changeable alternating current-wise effective resistance with one of the collector or emitter resistors as an alternating current variable resistor arrangement cooperates and that the total current flowing through the summing resistor or a voltage derived from this current proportional to the variable resistance ah controlled variable is fed. The invention is based on the essential knowledge that the control range of a Transistor amplifier can be expanded considerably if with the help of an additional resistance network / .werkes the called type z'vischen emitter and collector of the transistor from a compensation circuit effective bridging is made use of.
In this way, a very wide control range is realized without the variable resistances must have a larger range of variation.
AS 12 48 705 is already time; in its amplification of controllable transistor amplifier known, which is also of an alternating current makes use of effective additional emitter and collector resistance and in which the two air Resistors formed in diodes can be changed in opposite directions via a common variable bias voltage are. However, this circuit is not and can not act as a compensation bridge circuit therefore also do not have the large control range according to the invention.
Advantageous refinements of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 13.
The circuit has two identical, but oppositely polarized voltage sources U. The currents flow through the resistances η and r 2
/ι =v'i sin 01/ und b=t .!.η(ωί+π). / ι = v'i sin 01 / and b = t. ! .η (ωί + π).
Werden diese beiden Ströme ij und t in einem Widerstand R summiert, so ist der Spannungsabfall am Widerstand R bei gleichen Stromamplitiiden in jedem Augenblick Null, d. h., es gilt die GleichungIf the compensation is set, i.e. at η = ri, these two currents / j and h cancel each other out, i.e. they are of the same size, but opposite in direction Current of the same amplitude is required. If these two currents ij and t are added up in a resistor R , the voltage drop across the resistor R is zero at every instant for the same current amplitudes, ie the equation applies
A voltage drop is then generated at the resistor R if the current strength of one of the two currents _ /; or ij is changed so that the sum in the above equation does not disappear if one does not want to change the phase relationships of the two currents to one another. This current amplitude change can be made in the exemplary embodiment by changing the size of the resistor ri . It is possible to implement the amplification with the same current amplitude by changing the phase, but this is generally more difficult to carry out than changing the current amplitudes with constant phase relationships.
Diese beiden Ströme /1 und /2 werden in einem Widerstand R 7 summiert, so daß an diesem je nach Amplitude derThe application of this compensation principle to a transistor amplifier circuit for AC voltage is explained in more detail with reference to FIG. LJm is the input voltage Up applied to the transistor amplifier between terminals 1 and 2. In order to be able to regulate in the desired way, two partial voltages are generated which are phase-shifted by 18 ^ °. This is done with the aid of a phase reversal stage according to FIG. 2 with a transistor T whose base bias voltage is set with two resistors R] and /? 2. The input signal Ue is fed to the base via a capacitor C1. A collector resistor R 3 is connected to the collector and an emitter resistor R i is connected to the emitter, between whose connections remote from the transistor T the operating voltage Ub is applied. An alternating current / j is taken from the collector via a capacitor C2 and a resistor R 5 and current h is taken from the emitter via a capacitor C3 and a resistor / 6tiu. These two currents / 1 and / 2 are summed up in a resistor R 7 , so that depending on the amplitude of the
A voltage L / 2 drops across the collector resistor R3 and a voltage U 1 drops across the emitter resistor R 4. By a suitable choice of the two resistors R 3 and R 4 , these two partial voltages U 1 and U2 can be made the same. In the resistors R 5 and R 6, the two currents / and / ; Generates voltages which are proportional to the voltages (71 and U2 . If the phase reversal stage for the compensation is correctly set, no more voltage drops across the summing resistor R 7.
The transistor stage has strong negative feedback through the emitter resistor R 4 and can therefore be operated with relatively high input voltages. Because of the high negative feedback, the gain of the transistor is one. This setting of the level corresponds to the greatest attenuation. If the F.mitter resistance R 4 is made smaller, the voltage ratio LJMU2 is also reduced. As a result, the compensation condition is disturbed and a voltage arises at the resistor R 7 , which is caused by the currents h + i \ . By reducing the emitter resistance, the negative feedback of the Slufc is also reduced. This also means a reduction in the voltage ratio UMU2, which results in an increased Sirom ij . This also increases the voltage across the resistor R 7 . If you were to make the emitter resistance Λ 4 to zero, the stage would have half the voltage gain that can be achieved by the transistor T in this .Schallung, since the voltage divider consisting of the two resistors R 5 and /? 6 halves the collector alternating voltage.
The output voltage is taken from resistor R 7 . Because it is possible. To make the voltage at the opposing land R 7 very small, a very large control range can be achieved with the circuit.
This circuit essentially corresponds to that according to FIG. 2. Only the resistor R 7 can represent the input resistance of a subsequent amplifier stage, after which, for example, part of the alternating current signal is rectified and can then be fed as a current / a thermistor arrangement consisting of two thermistor resistors RS and R 9 . The two thermistor resistors RS and /? 9 are selected to be the same size and are connected to the emitter of the transistor T at their connection point via a capacitor C 4. In terms of direct current, the thermistor resistor R9 is blocked with its other connection to the ground pole of the operating voltage Ub via a capacitor C5, while in terms of alternating current the outer connections of the two thermistor resistors RS and 9 with this operating potential! are connected. The collector resistance R 3 is in the circuit of FIG. 3 adjustable. The two thermistor resistors RS and R 9, which are parallel to the emitter resistor RA in terms of alternating current, have the same alternating current resistance together with the emitter resistor / 4. like the collector resistor R 3, so that the voltages output at the collector resistor R 3 and at the Erniiterwidcrsiand R 4 are the same, as long as the two thermistor resistors RS and /? 9 are not heated. The two bridge resistances R 5 and / 6 are selected to be so small for a given resistance R 7 that the attenuation of the maximum gain caused by them is as low as possible. The alternating emitter voltage is very low at the maximum amplification because the two thermistor resistors R 8 and R 9 are small when heated. The sum of the two resistors RS and R 6 is practically parallel to the collector resistor A3. The size of the resistors is also dependent on the resistor R 7 , which can be, for example, the input resistance of the subsequent amplifier stage. If the circuit according to the invention is to be operated broadband, the transistor T must have a sufficiently high cut-off frequency so that undesired phase distortions in the transistor 7 * do not occur

Any other resistor R 3, R 5 or R 6 of the bridge circuit can also be changed without difficulty.
In Fig. 4 shows another embodiment of a regulated transistor amplifier stage for alternating current. This circuit essentially corresponds to that according to FIG. 3. Instead of the resistors R 5 and R 6 in FIG. 3 the base-collector paths of two transistors Ti and 7 "2 switched on. The resistors R 10 and R 11 connect the emitters of the two transistors Π and Γ2 to zero potential while a common resistor R 12 is connected to the collectors of these two transistors other terminal to Betriebspotentia + Ub is. the output signal Vout is taken out via the capacitor C6. such TIC provides the advantage that the transistor Timmer works be the same collector resistance, thereby in certain modulation areas, the distortion Sehi be small. in addition, falls otherwise due to the attenuation resulting from both resistors R 5 and R 6. Suitable dimensioning also results in a greater amplification of the overall stage.
