Description
Process for the preparation of Partialglycerinesterm mix with a high content of modified monoglycerides The invention relates to a method for the production of partial glycerol ester mixtures with a high content of modified r4onoglycerides, which are characterized by particularly pronounced hydrophilic properties.
According to the invention, completely or partially epoxidized fats and oils and / or completely or partially epoxidized fatty acids are transesterified or esterified with excess amounts of glycerine at temperatures from 190 to 260 ° C., with etherification taking place at the same time. "Epoxidized" is to be understood here not only as those pette and oils or patty acids which have been subjected to an epoxidation method, but also those with a natural dipoxy group content. Use of non-epoxidized beds and oils of vegetable and animal origin or their fatty acids with excess amounts of polyhydric alcohols at temperatures in the range of 200 to 260o C (USP 2,496,328) ® or polyhydric aliphatic alcohols in the presence of an alkaline catalyst, but temperatures of 1250 C should not be exceeded, since otherwise the epoxy groups will polymerize (see US Pat. No. 3,070,608). Furthermore, DAS 1 187 601 a process for the production of epoayfatty acid monoglyceride-rich triglyceride mixtures is known in which epoxidized triglyceride is reacted with glycerol in the presence of a tertiary aromatic nitrogen base as solvent, such as pyridine, and a transesterification catalyst at a temperature between about 30 and 1300 C, preferably between 80 and 1000 .
It has now been found, surprisingly, that the implementation of epoxy groups saturated or unsaturated fats and oils and / or saturated epoxy groups or unsaturated fatty acids with excess amounts of glycerin at temperatures between 190 and 260o C and taking into account the rest of the information given below Conditions without the use of solvents to products with particularly high Interfacial activity leads. According to the invention -be complete or partially epoxidized fats and oils and / or fully or partially epoxidized Fatty acids with glycerol in a weight ratio of 1: 1 to 1:20, preferably 1: 1.5 to 1:10, at temperatures of 190 to 260 ° C., preferably 200 to 250 ° C treated with stirring until the reaction product has an oxirane oxygen content has reached less than 0.5% and a proportion of at least 50% of monoglycerides contains.
The process can also be carried out in the presence of catalysts will. All known transesterification and etherification catalysts are used for this purpose suitable, such as sodium hydroxide, potassium ethylate, perchloric acid or The method can be carried out in various ways.
So can the epoxidized fats and oils and / or the epoxidized Fatty acids and the glycerine are heated together to the reaction temperature.
But you can also first adjust the glycerol to the reaction temperature Heat and then the epoxidized fats and oils and / or epoxidized in portions Add fatty acids. According to a further embodiment, the entire amount of the glycerine and some of the epoxidized fatty substances to the reaction temperature heated and then the remaining epoxidized fatty substances added in portions. To Another embodiment, the egg-oxidized fats and oils and / or the Egg-oxidized fatty acids initially with part of the intended amount. Glycerin heated to the reaction temperature and then in portions the remaining amount of the Glycerine can be added.
The reaction time c, it method according to the invention is about 5 to 20 hours. By working in the presence of a transesterification or etherification catalyst the reaction time can be shortened.
