Das Gebiß besteht im wesentlichen aus zwei kreuzweise übereinander gelegten Doppelhebeln a, die in der Mitte gelenkig verbunden sind und an ihren äußeren Enden Doppelringe b tragen (Fig. 1 und 2). Sicherheitsgebiß für Pferde, aus zwei scherenartig miteinander verbundenen Doppelhebeln und zwei durch Ketten und Federn an den Leitzügeln befestigten Doppelringen bestehend, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß bei gewöhnlichem Zügelzug die Doppelringe (b) in ihrer Ruhelage verbleiben, bei starkem Zug jedoch die Federn (h) gestreckt, die Ketten (i) angezogen und die Längsachsen der Doppelringe (b) in Richtung des Zügelzuges verlegt werden, wodurch die im Ruhezustand in einer Geraden liegenden Doppelhebel (a) gleichfalls aus ihrer Ruhelage gedreht werden, sich entgegen der Wirkung eines elastischen Zwischenstückes (c) spreizen, letzteres an den Oberkiefer und einen Knebel (e) an den Unterkiefer pressen, zum Zweck, das Maul des scheu gewordenen Pferdes gewaltsam zu öffnen, ohne dessen Gebiß zu verletzen.1.
