Description
Joint for connecting two shafts The invention relates to a joint that is used to connect two shafts and, like a universal joint, two movements in mutually perpendicular directions of movement.
Known is a joint yaw described type, which is in a transverse bore a pot-like bearing housing rotatably mounted, with cylindrical sliding surfaces has provided sliding blocks, which have a central longitudinal slot for rotatable Storage of a spoon-like approach of the one to be connected to one another Have shafts, while the other shaft is connected to the housing. The joint stones are made of metal and are subject to heavy wear despite regular lubrication subjected, so that with the high stresses, such as those with cardan shafts of Motor vehicles occur quickly an oversized game occurs, in particular is also promoted by the impact loads that occur. Already in the Producing the game in a new condition is time-consuming and expensive.
The invention has set itself the task of creating a joint, in which the large contact areas mean that one another sliding Share backlash-free work over a long period of time, even with only occasional lubrication remains guaranteed and the joint is small in size despite the large transmission forces obtained that make it usable for installation in motor vehicles.
To this end, the invention creates a joint for connecting two shafts, in which a shaft has a spoon-like approach, which is movably mounted by means of Sliding blocks are stored in a housing that connects to the other 47e11 ~ manufactures, and the novelty is that the shaft carrying the spoon in one Groove the spoon through a corresponding increase on the sliding block and this on the outer diameter is guided axially in the housing. This ensures that the joint on the outside diameter can be made considerably smaller than in the known types and also a support of the sliding blocks on their front side is no longer necessary, whereby a special guide bush is saved.
A valuable feature of the invention is that the sliding blocks on the spoon side radiating from the elevation forming a centering part have grooves that are shorter than the width of the spoon. Through this a permanent lubricating film is maintained on the contact surfaces without As a result of the centrifugal force, fat can escape to the outside. According to the invention is further provided that the core of the Sliding blocks made of an elastic building material, such as polyurethane, rubber or synthetic rubber. Because of the elasticity the sliding blocks can determine the angular velocity difference with in connection with a Constant velocity joint occurring bending angles are largely compensated. One Another embodiment of the invention is that the sliding blocks in the installed state are biased. This means that there is no backlash in the joint for a long running time guaranteed. According to the invention, this freedom from play is still thereby achieved favorably influenced when the middle guide zone of the sliding blocks on the bucket side is biased differently in the installed state compared to the edge parts. In the Invention this different bias is achieved by dividing its outer layer achieved in three parts, namely a centering part and two sliders. Even if, as is further provided according to the invention, the sliding blocks in one piece elastic plastic are formed, this can be different bias achieve in that the joint stone a membrane-like reduction in wall thickness) ce has around the centering part and a longitudinal channel.
The invention creates a number of other valuable details, which are described in more detail later.
