rührung stehenden Teilen zu inhibieren und unter Kontrolle

zu halten und insbesondere Zubereitungen, die eine funktionelle
Flüssigkeit und eine Korrosion inhibierende Menge einer Me"bauverbindung enthalten,,
Viele verschiedenartige Materialien wurden als funktionelle
Flüssigkeiten eingesetzt und funktionelle Flüssigkeiten wurden für unterschiedlichste Zwecke verwendete Solche
Flüssigkeiten sind als elektronische Kühlmittel, Kühlmittel
für Atomreaktionen, Diffusionspumpen-Flüssigkeiten, syn« thetische Schmiermittel, Dämpfungsflüssigkeiten, Grundstoffe
für Fette, Kraftübertragungs-Flüssigkeiten (Hydraulische Flüssigkeiten), Wärmeübertragungs-Flüssigkeiten, Formtrenn*·
mittel bei Metallspritzgussverfahren und als Filtermedium für Klimaanlagen verwendet worden. Wegen der Vielzahl der
Verwendungszwecke und der unterschiedlichen Einsatzbe« dingungen der funktioneilen Flüssigkeiten werden unterschiedliche
Eigenschaften in Abhängigkeit von dem Verwendungszweck von einer guten funktioneilen Flüssigkeit erwartet, wobei der
jeweilige Anwendungszweck eine funktionelle Flüssigkeit mit einer speziellen Klasse von Eigenschaften erforderlich macht«,
Die Verwendung funktioneller Flüssigkeiten als Schmiermittel, insbesondere als Schmiermittel für Strahltriebwerke
hat eich nun wohl als das schwierigste Anwendungsgebiet er« wiesen. In dem Masse, wie sich die Arbeitstemperaturen für
Schmiermittel erhöht haben, ist es immer schwieriger ge»

worden, Schmiermittel zu finden, die bei diesen hohen Tem»·
peraturen über einen befriedigend langen Zeitraum einwandfrei funktionieren. So sind die Erfordernisse für ein Strahl«
triebwerksschmiermittel folgendes Die Flüssigkeit sollte
Stabilität bei hohen und niedrigen Temperaturen aufweisen, keine Schaumbildung zeigen, gute Lagerungsstabilität be«
sitzen und auf Metallteile, die mit der Flüssigkeit in Kontakt stehen, nicht korrodierend und nicht beschädigend
wirken» Solche Flüssigkeiten sollten zusätzlich angemessene f Temperatur-Viskositätseigenschaften und zufriedenstellende
Schmierfähigkeit aufweisen, d.h. die Schmiermittel sollten nicht bei den sehr hohen Temperaturen, denen sie unterworfen
werden, zu dünn werden, und wiederum auch nicht bei nied«-
rigen Temperaturen zu dick werden, und sollten gleichzeitig in der Lage sein, über einen solchen Bereich von Temperaturen gute Schmierwirkung zu zeigen« Ausserdem sollten
solche Schmiermittel keine Ablagerungen, die das einwandfreie Arbeiten eines Strahltriebwerks beeinträchtigen *
könnten, bilden«
Wie die Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit und die Arbeitshöhe der Träger von Strahltriebwerken zunimmt, wachsen auch die
Schmierprobleme wegen der erhöhten Arbeitstemperaturen
und höheren Lagerdrücke, welche eine Folge des vergrösserten Schubs sind, der zur Erzielung hoher Geschwindigkeiten
und grösserer Höhen erforderlich ist» -Da die hiermit ver-

bundenen Ai'beitsbedingungen in zunehmendem. Masse schwerer
werden, wird die brauchbare Lebensdauer der funktionellen Flüssigkeit verkürzt, wobei einer der Gründe die vermehrte
Korrosion an mechanisehen» mit der funktioneilen
Flüssigkeit in Berührung stehenden Teilen iste im allgemeinen
erhöhen sich, da sich die Betriebsbedingungen eines Strahltriebwerks verschärft haben, die Temperaturen des
Triebwerks und treten Öltemperatiiren im Bereich von 600°F/
3160G und höher auf.
Die brauchbare Lebensdauer irgend eines Schmiermittels kann auf der Grundlage vieler Kriterien bestimmt werden,
wie beispielsweise dem Ausmass der Viskositätszunahme, dem Korrosionsausmass der mit dem Schmiermittel in Kontakt
stehenden Metalloberflächen und dem Ausmass an Ablagerungen, Dem Fachmann sind viele Wege zur Verbesserung der Schmiermittel
und damit zur Verzögerung oder Verhinderung der die brauchbare Lebensdauer eines Schmiermittel verkürzenden
Effekte bekannt. So ist es in der Praxis allgemein üblich, kleine Mengen anderer Materialien, oder Additive den
Schmiermitteln zuzusetzen, um eine oder mehrere der Eigenschaften des Grund-Schmiermittels zu beeinflussen. Es ist
jedoch schwierig, insbesondere nachdem sich die Arbeite» temperaturen erhöht haben, Additive zu finden, die auch
dann noch die Funktion, für die sie vorgesehen und zugesetzt sind, übernehmen und gleichzeitig keine anderen

Die funktioneilen Flüssigkeiten, zu welchen eine Metallverbindung
zur Schaffung der erfindungsgemässen Zubereitungen
zugesetzt wird, nachfolgend als Ausgangs- bzw. Grundmaterialien bezeichnet, umfassen, sind jedoch nicht hierauf

begrenztj Polyphenyl-thioäther, gemischte Polyphenyl~ätherthioäther,
gemischte Phenoxyphenylmereaptobiphenyle» Phenylmercaptobiphenyle,
irgend welche der zuvor beschriebenen Grundmaterialien, in welchen ein Teil oder alle, durch
Phenyl und Phenylen dargestellten cyclischen Singe ersetzt sind durch einen cyclischen Ring, einem anderen als Phenyl
oder Phenylen, wie alicyclische und heterocyclische, unter denen Cyclohexyl, Thiophen und Pyriden und Gemische der zuvor
beschriebenen Grundmaterialien typische Beispiele sind, vorausgesetzt, dass die Zahl der Schwefelatome, die zwei
oder mehrere der Phenyl-, Phenylen- oder cyclischen Ringe verbinden grosser ist, als ein Drittel der Gesamtzahl an
durch Schwefel und Sauerstoff dargestellten Atomen, die die Phenyl-Phenylen- und cyclischen Ringe verbinden» Selbstver«
ständlich können Gemische der zuvorbeschriebenen Grundmate~
rialien grössere Mengen eines Grundmaterials enthalten, sogar
bis zu 99$, wobei der Rest aus einem oder mehreren Grundmaterialien
besteht.
Wenn auch die Einverleibung irgend eines fremden Clements
in ein Grundmaterial die Eigenschaften einer funktionellen Flüssigkeit verändern kann, wird doch die Konzentration der
durch (A) und (B) dargestellten Metallverbindungen in dem Ausgangsmaterial im Hinblick auf das spezielle System und das
Grundmaterial eingestellt, welches in diesem System zur Schaffung erfindungsgemässer Funktioneller-Flüssigkeits-

Zubereitungen verwendet wird, welche ausreichende Mengen

verbindung enthalten zur Inhibierung und Kontrollierung

kritischen Iigenschaften des Srundmaterials nachteilig zu
■beeinflussen. Im allgemeinen -wurde gefunden, dass die Additive-Konzentrationen
einer duroh (A und (B) dargestellten ä Metallverbindung für die zuvor besohriebenen Grundmaterialien
im allgemeinen von ungefähr 0,001 Gew*$ bis ungefähr 10
Gewe^jt vorzugsweise von ungefähr 0,01 &ew.$ bis ungefähr
£cw«$ beträgt. Daher beinhaltet die vorliegende Erfindung
Zubereitungen, die ein Grundmaterial und ein© Korrosion inhibierende Menge einer durch (A) und (B) dargestellten
Hßtallverbindung umfassen^ drhc eine durch (A) und (B) dar«
gestellte Metallverbindung wird in einer Konzentration, die
zur Inhibierung und Kontrollierung von Korrosionsbeschadigung ausreicht, zu den Zubereitungen zugesetzte
Die Funktionellen-Plüssigkeita-Zubereitungen dieser Erfindung
können in irgendeiner dem Fachmann bekannten Weise wie beispielsweise durch Zugabe einer durch (A) und (B) dargestellten
Metallverbindung zu dem Grundmaterial unter ßiihren bis eine Zubereitung erhalten wird, hergestellt werden«
£e ist ausserdem im Bahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung
möglioh, dass Zubereitungen verwendet werden können, die

ein Grundmaterial und Additiv-Mengen der durch (A) und
(B) dargestellten Metallverbindungen, in welchen das Metall dispergiert oder suspendiert ist oder in Kontakt mit dem
Grundmaterial steht, umfassen. So umfassen die Zubereitungen der vorliegenden Erfindung die Verwendung von Zubereitungsaufs chläiamungen, wie die Verwendung erfindungsgemässer
funktioiieller Flüssigkeitszubereitungen als Wärmeübertragungsflüssigkeiten,
in we3.ohen das Additiv in anderer als in gänslich gelöster Form vorliegen kann«, Ausserdem können
die Metallverbindungen in situ, d.h·* in den Grundmaterialien,
wie zuvor beschrieben, hergestellt werden. Es ist ausserdem im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung möglich, dass die Additiv-Konzentrate
wie Additiv-Zubereitungen hergestellt werden können mit einem Gehalt von ungefähr 10 bis ungefähr 60$
der durch (A) und (B) dargestellten Metallverbindungen und der Grundmaterialien, wie zuvor beschrieben.
Typische Beispiele der Gruppe von HA Metallen, dargestellt durch M, sind Beryllium, Magnesium, Calcium, Strontium und
Barium» Die bevorzugte Gruppe der HA Metalle sind Magnesium,
Calcium und Barium, obgleich die gesamte Gruppe der HA Metalle im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung mit beinhaltet
wird.

Die Kohlenwasserstoff enthaltenden Anionen können definiert
werden durch die Zahl der Kohlenstoffatome, die in dem
Anion pro Äquivalent Gewicht an Metall, dargestellt durch M,

vorliegen· Während keine untere Grenze als hinsichtlich der Zahl an Kohlenstoffatomen oder anderen Elementen, die
in dem Anionanteil gegenwärtig sein können, gibts besteht
doch eine bevorzugte obere Grenze auf der Grundlage des praktischen Problems der Erzielung einer Konzentration von M,
welches in eine Flüssigkeit einverleibt ist, ohne in nachteiliger V/eise andere Flüssigkeitseigenschaften zu beeinträchtigen«
So hat sich, im allgemeinen, herausgestellt, dass die bevorzugte obere Grenze hinsichtlich der Zahl an,

möglich, dass die Polycarbonsäuren verwendet werden können zur Herstellung von teilweisen oder vollständigen Metallverbindungen,
d*h. wenn eine teilweise Metallverbindung gebildet ist, können die verbleibenden verfügbaren Garbonsäure-Gruppen
mit anderen Verbindungen, wie Alkoholen, zur Bildung von Estern und Aminen zur Herstellung von Amiden
oder Imiden, umgesetzt werden. Es ist auch möglich, dass die obigen Garbonsäure-Derivate, die andere Substituenten enthalten,
die wiederum eine Metallverbindung bilden können, wie Hydroxy-substituierte Garbonsäuren, verwendet werden
können zur Herstellung einer teilweisen oder vollständigen Metallverbindung. Zusätzlich kann, beispielsweise, in dem
Fall, wo das Anion eine Hydroxy-substituierte Garbonsäure ist, das Metall M an das Anion gebunden sein durch die

Hydroxylgruppe und in einem solchen Fall kann die üarbonsäuregruppe
blockiert oder gehindert werden» Darüber hinaus kann ein Metall-enolat gebildet werden von bestimmten Carbonyl-enthaltenden
Verbindungen, wie Acetylaceton und solche Metall-enolate liegen im Rahmen der vorliegenden

Carboxyl, welche in der Lage ist, sich mit einem Metall-Kation zu verbinden zur Bildung einer Metallverbindung»
Typische Beispiele solcher polymeren Verbindungen sind Copolymerisate von Lauryl-methacrylat und Acrylsäure-Copoly-

Die Verbindungen und Gemische von Verbindungen, die zur Herstellung der Anionen verwendet werden können,
können, viele Stellen enthalten, welche an das Metall gebunden seii. l:€*raien· Jedoch kann das Metall an weniger als die Ge»
samtzaial verfügbare Stellen gebunden sein und die Verwendung
solcher Metall erbindungen ist im Rahmen der vorliegenden
Erfindung vorgesehen«
Darüber hinaus ist es im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung möglich, dass die durch (A) und(B) dargestellten Verbind»
mangen zwei oder mehrere durch M dargestellte Metalle enthalten
können. Typische Beispiele von Verbindungen, die ein durch M dargestelltes Metall enthalten, die mit dem

Darüber hinaus ist es möglich, dass irgendeines der jeweiligen zuvor beschriebenen Ausgangsmaterialien, oder
Gemische hiervon im Gemisch mit erfindungsgemässen Additiven auoh zur Schaffung erfindungsgemässer Zubereitungen
verwendet werden können*
Zur Veransohaulichung der ausgezeichneten Eigenschaften
einer erfindungsgemässen Zubereitung wurden verschiedene Metallsalze in ein Grundmaterial eingemischt und die sieh
ergebende funktionelle flüssigkeitszubereitung wurde zur
Kontrollierung von Korrosion an Metallteilen bewertet. Eines der zur Messung der Korrosionskontrollierung einer
Schmiermittelzubereitung verwendete Haupt prüf-Verfahren
ist das in Federal Test ^ethod 791, Method* Nr» 5308 angeführte
Verfahren, gemäss welchem die zu prüfende Schmiermittelzubereitung
bei einer bestimmten Temperatur (500°P/ 2600C) in Gegenwart gewisser Metalle und Sauerstoff erhitzt
und der Viskositätsanstieg des Schmiermittels bestimmt wird« Ausserdem können hieraus Informationen über die Korrosionswirkung eines Schmiermittels gegenüber Metallen und dem
Ausmass an Schlamm- und Ablagerungs-Bildung entnommen werden,
In Tabelle I, den Beispielen 1 bis 14» wurden die durch
(A) und (B) dargestellten Verbindungen in einem Grundmaterial untersucht, welches ein Gemisch aus einem 3-ring-Polyphenyl-thioäther,
einem 4-ring-Polyphenyl-thiäther und

einem gemischten Polyphenyl-äther-thioäther war, mit einer
Gesamtzahl von Schwefelatomen, zur Verbindung der Phenyl- und Phenylenringe, die grosser als ein Drittel der Gesamt··
zahl an Schwefel- und Sauerstoffatomen, zur Verbindung der Phenyl« und Phenylenringe, war. Das Testverfahrsn wurde bei
einer Temperatur von 5OO°P/26O°C durchgeführt unter Verwendung
von Luft in einer Menge von 5 Litern pro Stunde. Die Testzeit betrug 48 Stunden. Die J^etallproben, die, wie
aufgeführt in dem besagten Testverfahren verwendet wurden, waren'Stahl, Kupfer, Silber, Titan, Magnesium- und Aluminium-Legierung.

Die Angaben in den zuvor aufgeführten Beispielen veran«
schauliohen die bemerkenswerte Xnhibierung von Korrosionsbeschädigung,
die durch die erfindungsgemässen funktionellen Flüssigkeitszubereitungen, in die durch (A) und (B) dargestellte Metallverbindung einverleibt sind, erzielt wird.
Darüber hinaus werden die kritischen physikalischen Eigenschaften und Betriebscharakteristiken, wie Schmierfähigkeit,
Feuerwiderstandsfähigkeit und Viskosität nicht nachteilig beeinträchtigt, was ein wichtiger Gesichtspunkt
ist im Hinblick darauf, dass ein Grundmaterial für ein gegebenes Flüssigkeitssystem ausgewählt wird, wegen seiner
physikalischen Eigenschaften und Charakteristiken und weil kritische Abweichungen von diesen Eigenschaften und Charakteristiken
eine schlechtere Betriebsfähigkeit der Flüssigkeit zur Folge haben kann«, Insbesondere veranschaulicht Tabelle I»
dass die Einverleibung einer durch (A) und (B) dargestellten Metallverbindung eine !Reduzierung sowohl der Kupferais auch der Silberkorrosion zur Folge haben kann» was durch
die Reduzierung des Gewichtsverluste der Metallproben deutlich ersichtlich wird· In vielen Beispielen lag die prozentuale
Verbesserung der Kontrollierung der Kupfer- und Silberkorrosion im Bereich von &0a/o und in einigen Fällen
sogar höher. Die Uhter-Kontrolle-Haltung und Inhibierung
von Kupferkorrosion ist von besonderer Bedeutung, da mechanische, mit der Flüssigkeit in Kontakt stehende Teile,
die korrodiert sind, Abnutzung und Metallverlust aufweisen

können, wobei dieser Metallverlust die Geometrie und
engen Toleranzen, die für die einwandfreie Betriebsfähig··
keit eines "besonderen Systems notwendig sind, verändern
kann» Die Kontrollierung von Kupferkorrosion unter Verwendung der erfindungsgemässen funktionellen Flüssigkeit„
Zubereitungen verlängert die brauchbare Lebensdauer des eingesetzten Flüssigkeitssystems und zusätzlich die der
funktionellen Flüssigkeit selbst» Zusätzlich zur Kontrol«
lierung von Korrosion an mechanischen, mit der Flüssigkeit
in Berührung stehenden Teilen wird durch die Jäinverleibis :,
einer Metallverbindung in ein Grundmaterial Korrosionsbe-Schädigung
der Flüssigkeit selbst inhibiert und unter Kontrolle gehalten. Die Inhibierung und Kontrolle von
Korrosionsbeschädigung verhindert das Auftreten von durch Verunreinigung der Flüssigkeit bedingten Korrösionsprodukten,
wobei dieses Verunreinigungsprodukt ein erhöhtes Oxydationsausmass der Flüssigkeit verursachen kann« Me
Metallsalze, die sich aus der Korrosion ergeben können, können als Prooxydationsmittel unter gleichzeitiger Vermehrung
der Flüssigkeitsbeschädigung wirken» welche sich selbst auf viele Arten äussert, zu welchen Viskositätsveränderung,
Erhöhung der Säurezahl, Bildung unlöslicher Materialien, erhöhte !Reaktionsfähigkeit, erhöhte !Reaktionsfähigkeit und
Verfärbung zählen. In einem Flüssigkeitssystem müssen die besonderen Eigenschaften einer Flüssigkeit aufrechterhalten werden, um die Betriebsfähigkeit des besonderen

Systems, in welches die Flüssigkeiten eingesetzt werden, aufrechtzuerhalten So können Viskositätsveränderungen durch
Flüssigkeitsabbau bewirkt werden.? wobei polymere Produkte
mit hohen Molekulargewichten in dein flüssigen System her« gestellt werden. Solche Produkte hohen Molekulargewichts
werden oft in dem jeweiligen G-rundmateriaX unlöslich, was Aus:.;-"i.Ll.img oder SchiammMldung des unlöslichen Materials
zur Folge hat^ Solche Ausfällung und Sehlammbildung verstopft Filter uno. verursacht Ablagerungen, auf sich bewegenden Teilen, die durch die Flüssigkeit geschmiert werden
unter gleichzeitiger Bewirkung unzureichender Schmierung· Eriiöhte chemische Reaktionsfähigkeit wird bei Flüssigkeits-'
abbau ebenso wie ein Aufbau der Säurezahl der Flüssigkeit beobachtet* Sine solche erhöhte chemische Reaktionsfähigkeit
und hohe Säurezahl macht ein bestimmtes System, in welchem die Flüssigkeit eingesetzt ist, chemisch angreifbar durch
die Flüssigkeit unter gleichseitiger Verursachung von Aushöhlung, Abnutzung und Veränderung der engen Toleranzen der
mechanischen Teile durch die Flüssigkeit« So ist die vorzeitige Überholung mecnanischer Teile eine direkte Folge des Flüssige it sabbauso Demgemss ist es von besonderer Bedeutung,
dass KorrosionsbeSchädigung mechanischer, mit der Flüssigkeit
in Berührung stehender Teile inhibiert und kontrolliert wird, zur Vermeidung von Beschädigung mechanischer Teile
und zusätzlich Flussigkeitsab^au, welcher eine direkte Folge
der Flüssigkeitsvereunreinigtmg durch Korrosionsprodukte

über verlängerte Zeiträume erzielt werden. So betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung ein neues "Verfahren zur Schmierung
von Gasturbinentriebwerken, bei denen die Aufrechterhaltung auf den Lagern und anderen durch Abnutzung beanspruchten
Teilen einer zur Schmierung ausreichenden Menge einer erfindungsgemässen
Zubereitung notwendig ist.
Als Ergebnis der ausgezeichneten Inhibierung und unter
Kontrollehaltung von Beschädigung unter Verwendung der funktioneilen Flüssigkeitszubereitung im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung können verbesserte hydraulische Druckvorrichtungen
gemäss dieser Erfindung hergestellt werden, welche in Verbindung miteinander eine Flüssigkeitskammer
und eine Betriebsflüssigkeit in dieser Kammer umfasst, wobei diese Flüssigkeit ein Gemisch aus einem oder mehreren
der hierin zuvor beschriebenen Grundmaterialien und eine kleinere, zur Inhibierung und Kontrolle von Korrosionsbeschädigung
ausreichende Menge der Additivzubereitung dieser
Erfindung umfasst. In einem solchen System umfassen die so geschmierten Teile die Reibungsoberfläche der Energiequelle,
nämlich die Pumpe, Ventile, Regelkolben und Zylinder,

Flüssigkeitsmotoren, und in einigen Fällen, für Werkzeugmaschinen,
die Führungen, Tische und Gleitbahnen. Das hydraulische System kann entweder eines mit konstantem oder
veränderlichem Volumen sein,,
Me Pumpen können verschiedener Art sein, einschließlich
Centrifugalpumpen, Diisenpumpen, Turbinenschaufel, Flüssig«
keitskolbengas-Kompressoren, Kolbenpumpe, insbesondere der
Kolbenpumpe veränderlichen Hubs, die Kolbenpumpe veränderlicher Entladung oder veränderlicher Verdrängung, Sadial«-
Kolbenpumpe, Axial-Kolbenpumpe, in welcher ein drehbar gelagerter
bzw. hin- und hergehender Zylinderblock in verschiedenen Winkeln mit der Kolbenanordnung eingestellt ist,
beispielsweise der Vickers Axial Kolbenpumpe, oder in welcher der Mechanismus, der die Kolben antreibt, in einem
mit dem Zylinderblock einstellbaren Winkel steht, Zahnradpumpe, welche ein Stirnrad-Schnecken- oder xJfeilverzahnungsgetriebe,
Variationen von Innenverzahnungen oder eine Schraubenpumpe oder eine Flügelradpumpe sein kann. Die Ventile
können Stoppventile, Umschaltventile, Schalt- oder Steuerventile, Drosselventile, Äeihenventile, Druckbegrenzungsventil,
Servoventile, MickschlagventiIe, Ringventile oder
Entlastungsventile sein. Flüssigkeitsmotoren sind üblicherweise Kolbenpumpen mit konstanter oder veränderlicher Entladung,
die durch den Druck der hydraulischen Flüssigkeit des Systems mit der Energie, die durch die Pumpen-Energie-

quelle geliefert wird, zu routieren veranlasst werden·
Ein solcher hydraulischer Motor kann in Verbindung mit einer Pumpe veränderlicher Entladung zur Bildung einer veränderliehen
Geschwindigkeitsübertragung verwendet werden. Es ist daher von Bedeutung, dass die Reibungsteile des flüssigen
Systems, welche durch die funktioneile Flüssigkeit geschmiert sind, vor Beschädigung geschützt werden. So verursacht Be«
Schädigung Yerschweissen der Reibungsteile, übermässigea. Abrieb und vorzeitige Notwendigkeit der Ersetzung der Teile
durch andere«
Zusätzlich können im Hinblick auf die ausgezeichneten physikalischen Eigenschaften der erfindungsgemässen Zubereitungen
mit einer darin inkorporierten Metallverbindung gemäss (A) und (B) Wärmeübertragungssysteme entwickelt werden,
bei welchen ein flüssiges Wärmeaustauschmedium für den Austausch von Wärme mit einem anderen Material, wobei dieses
besagte Material auf einer gegebenen Temperatur ist, verwendet wird» Es kann daher die Funktion des flüssigen Wärmeaustauschmediums in der Wärmeübertragung, der Wärmeaufnahme
und der Aufrechterhaltung eines Materials bei einer gegebenen Temperatur oder in einer Kombination dieser Möglichkeiten
bestehen«
Die Flüssigkeitszubereitungen dieser Erfindung können auch, wenn sie als eine funktionelle Flüssigkeit verwendet werden,

einen oder mehrere Farbstoffe, Stockpunkterniedriger, Metalldeaktivatoren, Säurefänger, Antioxydationsmittel,
Antischaummittel in einer zur Verleihung von Antischaumeigenschaften ausreichenden Konzentration, wie von ungefähr
10 "bis ungefähr 100 Teile pro Million, Viskositätsindexverbesserer, wie Polyalkylacrylate, Polyalky!methacrylate,
Polycyclische Polymere, Polyurethane, Polyalkylenoxide, Polyalkylen-Polymere, Polyphenylenoxide, Polyester Schmierung
förnde Mittel und dergleichen, enthaltene
Es ist ausserdem im üahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung möglich,
dass die zuvor beschriebenen Grundmaterialien entweder einzeln oder als eine Flüssigkeitszubereitung mit zwei
oder mehreren Grundmaterialien in variierenden Anteilen verwendet werden können«, Die Grundmaterialien können ausserdem
andere Flüssigkeiten, welche, zusätzlich zu den oben beschriebenen funktionellen Flüssigkeiten, Flüssigkeiten
umfassen, die von Kohleprodukten abstammen und synthetische Öle enthalten, beispielsweise Alkylenpolymerisate (wie ze
Beispiel Polymere von Propylen, Butylen, etce, und Mischungen
derselben), Alkylenoxid-artige Polymere (z.B·, Propylenoxid-Polymere)
und Derivate, einschliesslich Alkylenoxid-Polymere hergestellt durch Polymerisation von Alkylenoxid
in der Gegenwart von Wasser oder Alkoholen, z.B· Äthylalkohol, Alkylbenzolen, (z,B., Monoalkylbenzol wie

Ausserdem ist es möglich, dass Gemische der Polyphenyläther
verwendet werden können. Beispielsweise haben sich Gemische von Polyphenyl-äthern, in welchen die nicht
endständigen Phenylringe (d.ho jene, in der vorgenannten
allgemeinen Formel in Klammern stehenden Ringe der vorgesehenen Polyphenyl-äther) durch Sauerstoffatome in der
meta- und para-Stellung gebunden sind, insbesondere als
geeignet erwiesen als Schmiermittel, weil solche Gemische niedrigere Verfestigungspunkte aufweisen und somit Zubereitungen
mit einem weiteren Plussigkeitsbereich geschaffen
werden« Von den Gemischen mit vorwiegend meta- und paraBindungen ist ein bevorzugtes erfindungsgemässes Polyphenyl».
äther-Gemisch das Gemisch von 5-ring-Polyphenyl-äthern» wo
die nicht endständigen Phenylenringe durch Sauer s't off atome in der meta- und para-Stellung gebunden sind und sich zusammensetzt
aus ungefähr 65 Gewo# m-Bis-(m-phenoxyphenoxy)-benzol,
50 Gew»$ m-/~(m-Phenoxyphenoxyö-(£~phenoxyphenoxy_y7-benzol
und 5 Gew.# m-Bis(£-phenoxyphenoxy)-benzol.
Ein solches Gemisch verfestigt sich bei ungefähr -iO°:F/25,30Ct
wohingegen sich die drei Komponenten jeweils bei Temperaturen oberhalb Zimmertemperatur verfestigen,
Beispiele von substituierten Polyphenyl-äthern sind l-(p_··
Methylphenoxy)-4-phenoxybenzol, 2,4-Diphenoxy-l-methylbenzol,
Bie/~"p_-(p_-methylphenoxy)-phenyl7-ätherf Bia/~p-(p~tert-butyl
phenoxy)-phenyl7-äther und Mischungen derselben.

Die zuvor "beschriebenen Flüssigkeiten können in einer solchen
Menge zugesetzt werden, dass das endgültige Grundmaterial eine Gesamtzahl an Schwefelatomen, die die Phenyl-,
Phenylen« und cyclischen Ringe in den zuvor "beschriebenen
Grundmaterialien mit einander verbinden, grosser ist", als
ein Drittel der Gesamtzahl an Schwefel- und Oxybindungen,
die die Phenyl«·, Phenylen« und cyclischen Hinge miteinander
verbinden.
Wenn auch die vorliegende Erfindung im Hinblick auf verschiedene spezielle Beispiele und Ausführungsformen beschrieben
worden ist, so ist sie doch nicht hierauf begrenzt und kann im Rahmen der folgenden Patentansprüche
in verschiedener Weise praktiziert werden.

Claims (1)
- Patentansprüche :(5) einem Grundmaterial gemäss (1), (2), (3) und/ oder (4) worin irgend einer der cyclischen Ringe, nämlich der Phenyl- und/oder Phenylenringe durch 1 bis 5 heterocyclische Ringe ersetzt ist, und carbocyclische Ringe mit nicht-Benzoid Uhgesättigtheit ersetzt ist, und(6) Gemischen irgend einer Kombination von (1), (2), (3), (4) und (5)vorausgesetzt, dass die Gesamtzahl an Schwefelbindungen in dem Grundmaterial, die die Phenyl··, Phenylen- und cyclischen Ringe miteinander verbinden, nicht grosser ist als ein Drittel der Summe der Gesamtzahl an Oxy- und Schwefelbindungen, die die Phenyl-, Phenylen- und cyclischen Ringe verbinden, und(B) einer Korrosion inhibierenden Menge eines oder mehrerer Materialien109820/1647 -48«(1) einer Metallverbindung, worin das Metall eine G-ruppe der HA Metalle, HIA Metalle, IVA Metalle, IIB Metalle, IVB Metalle, VIB Metalle, Nickel und/oder Kobalt und(2) Gemischen hiervon ist,2e Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass (B)(1) eine Metallverbindung der allgemeinen Formel(M)(a) (Anion)(l3)ist, worin M eine G-ruppe der HA Metalle, IHA Metalle, IVA Metalle, HB Metalle, IVB Metalle, VIB Metalle, Nickel und/oder Kobalt ist, a eine ganze Zahl mit einem Wert von mindestens 1 und b eine Zahl mit einem Wert von mindestens 1 bis zu dem Wert des -Produktes aus a mal der Wertigkeit von M ist und(2) Gemischen hiervon*3· Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Anion ein anorganisches Anion ist.4· Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das anorganische Anion Carbonat, Nitrat und/oder Nitrit ist«- 49 1 0 9 8 2 0 / 1 6 A 7I6U9215. Zubereitung gemäss .Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Anion ein Kohlenwasserstoff enthaltendes Anion ist,6. Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das kohlenwasserstoff enthaltende Anion von 1 bis ungefähr 60 Kohlenstoffatome pro Äquivalent von M enthält«7. Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das kohlenwasserstoff enthaltende Anion mindestens eines der Elemente Sauerstoff, Stickstoff, Schwefel, welcher innerhalb des heterocyclischen Ringes vorliegt, und/oder Schwefel, welcher zwei aromatische Gruppen verbindet, und/oder Gemische jener Elemente enthält.8. Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kohlenwasserstoff enthaltende Anion mindestens ein Element Sauerstoff, Stickstoff und Schwefel, wobei dieser Schwefel innerhalb eines heterocyclischen Ringes vorliegt, oder Schwefel, welcher zwei aromatische Grup·* pen verbindet, und/oder Gemische jener Elemente enthält·9β Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kohlenwasserstoff enthaltende Anion Acyloxy, substituiertes Acyloxy, Aroyloxy, substituiertes109820/1647- 50 -Aroyloxy, Aroxy, substituiertes Aroxy, Alkoxy, substituiertes Alkoxy und eine Carbonyloxy-heterocyclische Gruppe ist, mit von 1 bis 10 Atomen, die gegebenenfalls durch von 1 bis 4 Heteroatome der Sauerstoff-, Schwefel- und/oder Stickstoff-Gruppe unterbrochen sind, eine Oxy-heterocyclische Gruppe ist, mit von 1 bis 10 Atomen, die gegebenenfalls durch von 1 bis 4 Heteroatome, wie Sauerstoff, Schwefel und/oder Stickstoff unterbrochen sind, und/oder eine substituierte Öxy-heterocyclische Gruppe ist, mit von 1 bis 10 Atomen, die gegebenenfalls durch von 1 bis 4 Heteroatome, wie Sauerstoff, Stickstoff und/oder Schwefel unterbrochen sind.10. Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zahl der gegenwärtigen Elemente von 1 bis ungefähr 20 Elemente pro Äquivalent M beträgt»11. Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass M Magnesium, Calcium, Barium, Zirkon, Nickel, Zink, Cadmium und/oder Blei i17c Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass M Magnesium, Calcium, Barium, Zirkon, Nickel, Zink, Cadmium und/oder Blei ist,,18o Zubereitung gemäss Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Grundmaterial unsubstituierte Polyphenylthioäther, unsubstituierte gemischte Polxphenyl-äther~ thioäther mit von 3 bis 10 aromatischen Hingen und/oder Gemische hiervon enthält.19.
