This is done according to the invention in such a way that the sludge is placed in a container, for example a basin, and a holder in the form of a grate, grate or the like that receives the plants is placed on the surface of the sludge layer.
Das getrocknete Schlammbett liegt dann frei zugänglich vor, so-daß der getrocknete Schlamm in einfacher Weise aus dem Behälter bzw.- dem Becken mit Werkzeugen oder auf meschinellem Wege, entfernt und abtransportiert werden kann.or a holder made of foamed polystyrene is applied is removed after the end of the drainage process with the plants whereupon the dried sludge is removed from the container. The roots of the plants are capable of the holder "especially those made of foamed polystyrene Layer -to penetrate # whereby they are held in this layer. The for Drainage of the sludge provided plants. are therefore in the intended Bracket or firmly established in the grate or the porous plastic layer and can after the dewatering process, i.e. when the sludge has dried " can be easily removed from it. This can e.g. in the way that this happened Holder zulsammen.with the plants anchored in it lifted up or to the side is folded away. The dried sludge bed is then freely accessible, so that the dried sludge from the container or basin in a simple manner Tools or by mechanical means, can be removed and transported away.
vorzugsweise in ihrer EinsW-zfolge geringeren Was-sermengenaufnahmevermögen verwendet
To implement these approaches, a system according to the invention can be constructed in such a way that several containers or basins are arranged in one or more rows next to one another or in a ring. This makes it possible to remove the water in all containers simultaneously or in stages and, accordingly, to be able to remove the dried sludge after removing the plant holders. The containers will preferably be made of organic plastic and made tiltable about one of their edges. It has proven particularly useful if the containers or basins are provided with a water-impermeable base, which can consist of organic plastic, for example, and can be removed with a lifting device. on which trolleys run for the transport of the plant-holding trays or for clearing devices for discharging the dried-out sludge. The plant holders can be arranged on the trolley so that they can be raised and lowered. According to the invention, it has also proven to be advantageous if the carriages are provided with a vibrating device for the holders. In the drawing, an embodiment according to the invention for a system is shown schematically. their structure and mode of operation are explained below. In a row next to one another are for example four sludge beds or .'- containers 1, 2, 3, 4, on which the plant holders, not shown in the drawing, are placed. All containers can be planted with the same variety of plants, which are removed with the plants carrying them after the water has been removed, whereupon the dried sludge is removed. Instead, however, the procedure can also be followed in such a way that, as seen in the direction of arrow B, the first sludge bed 1 is planted with a type of plant which 4: has a high water absorption capacity and consequently withdraws a first larger amount of water from the sludge in a relatively short time. Then these plants with their holders are removed and transported to the next sludge container or bed 2. This is done with the aid of carriages which run on / to the side of the containers arranged rails 5, 5 ' . The further transported plants — with a high capacity for absorbing water from the vial — are then drained off over the sludge container or bed 2, so that the process of more rapid water removal from the still untreated sludge of this container 2 takes place. The sludge container 1 that has become free, from which a larger amount of water has already been withdrawn, is then planted with another type of plant which is viable when there is a low demand for water. This method of operation has proven to be particularly advantageous because otherwise there is a risk that plants with a higher water absorption capacity will die off in the gradually drying sludge due to lack of water. the The procedure described can be continued in the same way for the sludge beds 3, 4 and the following. The dried out sludge beds are cleared out one after the other in the same order and the sludge is removed. This can be done, for example, in such a way that a third car is brought up on the rails, which, after removing the holder with the plants last used, brings devices to clear the dried sludge from the bed in question and automatically clears it. It is possible to work in a similar manner if the mud beds are arranged in a ring and rails are provided for the pads on their inside and outside so that they are guided on an endless path. This enables a continuous mode of operation.
The holder devices in which the plants are embedded, can be connected to a vibrating device, for example on the% hunt is ordered. They ensure that the roots Still adhering dried sludge during the Ileraus -..- lifting the holding device is thrown off and falls back into the sludge container or the sludge bed.
The containers or beds can be removed with water-impermeable 'removable Floors made, for example, of an organic plastic, be provided, which are pulled up by means of a lifting device and brought into an inclined position, so that the dried sleeper can be removed from the floor. This will Scraping out the container is unnecessary. If necessary, the container can also be completely removed Be made of plastic and to the r - ntna.l-Lme of the dried sludge be tiltable in a tilted position. The plant can be known in Cover way to protect against rain.
For the system according to the invention there are no major expenses required so that it can be created easily and properly. She lets herself expand at will according to the demands made by simply adding more For example, sludge beds or containers prefabricated from plastic to the already the existing ones and the driveways for the movable plants and other devices for shaking them and doing some of the beds longer will.
