"MaLnetischer Auslöser"
w
Wärmemenge, d. h."Magnetic trigger" w The invention. relates to a magnetic release with a resistance in parallel or in series with the coil: around a system or device. To protect against damage caused by overcurrent or short-circuit current, the switching devices are equipped with thermal overcurrent and magnetic short-circuit current releases. In such arrangements, bimetal relays are used as thermal, overcurrent releases and current relays are used as magnetic short-circuit current releases. Bimetal relays are heated directly or indirectly by the current flowing through them. The heating causes the deflection of a lever that switches off a switch: The switch-off of the bimetal relay is therefore dependent on the amount of heat supplied to the bimetal, ie
B. Temperaturen.

Serving current relays switch when a certain response current is exceeded
without delay. -It is known in parallel. to the coil of a magnetic release
to switch a resistor in order to increase the response current of the magnetic release
to set a certain overcurrent value (DAS-1 176 255). The response value of the release
remains constant if the setting has been made, does not matter. whether an overcurrent or
a short-circuit current flows. If no additional overcurrent release is provided,
This means that if there is an overcurrent for a longer period of time, the release can be overstressed
appear.
The invention is based on the object of a magnetic
To create short-circuit current release that is current-time-dependent in the overcurrent range
like a thermal overcurrent release, only current-dependent in the short-circuit current range
how a current relay works to control all operating ranges with one release
to be able to. According to the invention the object is achieved in that the resistance value
changed depending on a variable to be monitored. This is preferably done by doing this
achieves that the resistance value depends on a flowing through it and
changes the current that flowed shortly before. Appropriately, the resistance is on
Semiconductor resistance, which has a jump characteristic at a certain temperature
having. It is also advantageous if the parallel to the coil of the magnetic
Higher resistance on a secondary winding with a higher number of turns
connected. An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing in
Figures 1 and 2 shown. Figure 1 'shows the parallel connection of the coil of a
magnetic release and a resistor with variable resistance value.
Figure 2 shows the parallel connection of the coil of a magnetic trigger and one
Resistance with variable resistance value via a secondary winding. the
Connections 1 of resistor 2 with variable resistance are shown in FIG
1 directly to the coil 3 of the magnetic release 4 and thus into the main power line
5 switched. In Figure 2, the variable resistance 2 is via a secondary winding
6 connected to the coil 5 of the magnetic release 4. . . .., -. _
One
Increase in the resistance value with increasing heating as a result of increasing current,
as is the case with a semiconductor (PTC-YTidärstand), causes an increased,
Current rise in the coil. The coordination is made for the pending overcurrent in such a way that
that the current distribution is shifted to the coil in such a way that the response value
of the trigger is reached before an overload of the components has occurred.
The advantages achieved by the invention are thus that the trigger
in the overcurrent range current-time-dependent like a thermal overcurrent release, but
also regardless of the state of the thermal element at very high currents such as a
Short-circuit current release triggers. The resistance is via a secondary winding
connected to the coil of the magnetic release, it can be of higher resistance
interpret. This has the advantage that the -parallel resistor
obtained smaller dimensions as a result of a smaller current and for a favorable one
thermal time constant can be interpreted: Appropriately you can-one the resistance
so arrange to the coil of the magnetic short-circuit current release that the resistance
in addition to its own current heat, part of the current heat from the short-circuit current release coil
is fed. The extent and. the type of additional heating is determined by
the desired thermal time constant of the arrangement of resistor and coil:
Of course, other embodiments of the invention are also conceivable:
For example, it can be useful for other tasks to have one in series
a magnetic release coil lying resistance with negative temperature.
coefficient _ (, NTC resistance) causes the magnetic release to switch off.
Such an arrangement can also be used to monitor other variables, e.g. B. Temperatures.
