S. 142, entnehmen. Dort wird u. a. A process of this kind can essentially be found in the article "Broadband from Continuous Cast Slabs" in Berg- und Hüttenmännische monthly books 1962, p. 134 ff, esp. P. 142, can be found. There is, inter alia. about metallurgical Investigations and rolling results in the continuous casting of various steel grades are reported. First became a Si-Al killed mild steel with an Al addition in the ladle of 0.5 kg / t and one Si addition of 2.5 kg / t cast. After the ones there According to information, the slab surface showed no cracks; there were no internal faults; the surface was very good, so that it did not need to be cleaned when rolling out onto heavy plate. As a second quality Si-Al killed steel was cast with an Al addition of 1.4 kg / t and an Si addition of 1.0 kg / t. The standard analysis was: max. 0.06% C, max. 0.1% Si, 0.25 to 0.40 or 0.25 to 0.45% Mn. With a middle one Mn content of 0.30 to 0.35 should not be the S content be above 0.020%. According to the information provided there, the result of the high Al content below the Slag inclusions not deep in the surface were found. The surface quality was also evident problematic.
A fine-grain structural steel with a C content of 0.16 to 0.21% and a metallic one served as the third quality Al content over 0.02%.
According to the information provided there, continuously cast semi-finished products were made of low-carbon Si-Al-killed Steel can obviously only achieve a low Si content with high Al additions. With a decrease the addition of Al without a simultaneous increase in the addition of Si, there was a risk of insufficient deoxidation, associated with excessive pore formation in the zone near the edge of the semi-finished product, which in turn causes the Further processing to sheet metal impaired.
On this basis, the object of the present invention is to continue to work with a low Si addition in a method of the specified type, but the disadvantages of the high Al addition, such as slag inclusions in the near-edge zone of the semi-finished product and contamination of the surface with a tough foam, while still avoiding an increase in porosity in the zone near the edge.
Based on a method of the type specified, the inventive solution to this problem is characterized in that the addition of the deoxidizer manganese takes place in the ladle and that the aluminum is added in an amount of 0.227 to 0.681 kg / t, so that the steel melt with a max .
Aluminiumgehalt von 0,015% eingefüllt wird.Aluminum content of 0.015% is filled.
Surprisingly, even with the low Al addition of only 0.227 to 0.681 kg / t, it was possible to avoid porosity in the zone of the semi-finished product near the edge. It is assumed that the additional addition of manganese to the ladle, in a synergistic manner that has not yet been fully clarified, increases the deoxidation of a steel melt of the particular composition, so that small additions of Al can be managed. On the basis of series tests it could be ensured that continuously cast semifinished product is obtained according to the method according to the invention, in the zone near the edge of which the probability of pore formation is significantly reduced.
The invention is explained in more detail below using an example of the method.
Kohlenstoffgehalte im Bereich von 0,03%—0,06% sind auch deshalb vorteilhaft, weil damitCarbon contents of at least 0.03% are desirable because the amount of oxygen in steel containing less than 0.03% carbon is often so great that it causes harmful gas development in the continuous casting mold as well as oxidation of the steel and the deoxidizing elements, thereby forming excessive amounts of non-metallic inclusions will. Carbon contents in the range of 0.03% -0.06% are also advantageous because they do so
so beim Glühen flachgewalzter Produkte, beispielsweise des nach dem Walzen der Brammen vorhandenen Bandmaterials, sehr gute Ergebnisse erzielbar sind. so when annealing flat-rolled products, for example the strip material present after the slab is rolled, very good results can be achieved.

Die zwischen dem Kohlenstoff und dem Silizium bei den gewöhnlichenIt is impossible to produce a furnace melt with the desired composition that results in the Casting in a continuous casting mold according to the method described here is suitable. The one between the Carbon and silicon in the ordinary
Existing equilibrium conditions of furnace temperatures require that either the carbon content above the permissible maximum of 0.08% or the silicon content is below the minimum of 0.03%. It is necessary to produce a furnace melt that has the desired carbon content - which, however, is can not be reduced in a satisfactory manner in the steel melt after this has been repelled by the furnace
Manganese must also be added to make up the manganese content for the one described here Increase procedure. A large part of the manganese content of the steel melt poured into the continuous casting mold is added after tapping the furnace because it is in view of the excessive manganese losses the entire amount of manganese required for production would be disadvantageous by releasing it to the furnace slag the desired manganese content is required to enter into the basic oxygen process furnace.
It should be noted that the silicon content of the steels used here is considerably higher than the silicon content of the steels that are used for the production of unkilled drawing steel. The one in question here Silicon content is in the range of 0.03 - 0.08%, while the silicon content of non-killed drawing steels, from which flat-rolled products are to be made, usually must not exceed 0.02%.
The manganese gets into the ladle in the form of manganese silicon, higher or medium carbon manganese iron or electrolytic manganese. By adding the manganese silicon, the whole amount of silicon fed in, which must be added to the silicon content of the steel melt on the to bring the desired level of 0.03-0.08%. Usually about 2.72-4.54 kg per tonne of manganese silicon and add about 0.907-1.81 kg per tonne of medium carbon romanganese to the steel melt to supply the required manganese and silicon. Instead of adding manganese with medium Carbon content can also include high carbon manganese or electrolytic manganese will. Often times, the required amounts of high carbon manganese are somewhat lower than the normally required quantities of ferromanganese with a medium carbon content and are in the in most cases only 0.454-0.907 kg per ton.
- The silicon manganese and the ferromanganese are produced during the filling of the ladle with the furnace melt, which is made in the steelmaking furnace - is added. The best results can be achieved when the silicon manganese and the ferromanganese during the filling of the middle third of the Pouring ladle are added. In addition to the manganese and the silicon, there are smaller amounts of it Aluminum introduced into the ladle to improve the properties of the non-metallic inclusions and thus the conditioning of the continuously cast slabs produced in the present process to restrict a minimum. In this regard, the feed was found to range from 0.227 to about 0.681 kg of aluminum per ton of hot metal in the ladle leads to a significant improvement in quality of the slabs produced. After the composition of the steel has been adjusted so that it is in the range described above, the steel is then poured into the water-cooled continuous casting mold. -
The solidified slab can be further treated, for example by hot rolling, to become flat-rolled Obtain products such as strip steel. These flat-rolled products can be annealed and coiled and finishing according to ordinary metalworking techniques.
