Description

Verfahren zur Entfernung von Mikro-Organismen aus gärfähigen Plüssigkeiten. Die vorliegende Erfin- dung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zür Entfer- nung von Mikro-Organismen aus gärfähigen Flüs- sigkeiten, Hefe-Suspensionen und dera* insbe- sondere für die Getränke-Industrie. Die in Betracht stehe!,.- den Mikro-Organisi,i(#ii'kommen in Größenordnungen von etwa 0.ol bis '#--',4itvor, Es handelt sich bei. ihnen sowohl um st#z''thellenförmige wie Milchsäure- Bakterien, als auch um Kokken wie Sarcina. Als Verfahren zu ihre-t- ',#-,ritfernung sind die Steril- Piltration und di- Vlarmbehandlung (z.B. Pagteu- risation) sowie kumbinierte Ahwendtiii",IP.ti beider Behandlungsweisen bekannt. Bei der vorliegenden Er- findung handelt ep sich um ein Verfahren zur Entfernung der Mikro-Organismen auf knltc3iii Wege, welches also keiner Wärme-Zufuhr bedarf , und welches sich durch besondere Einfachheit und geringe Anlage- und Betriebekooten auszeichnet. Das Neue besteht im We- sentlichen daring*#daus die Entfernung der Nikro- Organismen aus der Plüseigkeit oder Suspension durch Adeorption an-der Oberfläche aktiver Kie- selsäure erfolgt. Wie.sich durch Versuche ergeben hat , Ünnen obe#flächen-aktive'Kiesel- säuren hinsichtlich des Verhältnisses zwischen Oberfläche und mittleregtTeilchendurchmeeser so eingestellt werden, daso Mikro-Organismen ein- schließlich der erwähnten Stäbchen- und Kokken- Arten in der Größenordnung zwischen O.ol und 2.41 durch Adsorption an dk#r Oberfläche der Kiesel- säure angelagert werden, während bei erheblich größeren lebewesen, z.B. bei Hefen keine Adsorp- tion eintritt. Als besonders wirtschaft- lieh haben sich in diesem Zusammenhang Oberflä- chen im Bereich zwischen 200 und 800 m2 /Gramm bei einem mittlären Teilchen-Durchmesser von 5 bis lgi ',Ai (Idilliriikroii) erwiesen.
