Brake actuation device with gear ratio change in particular
for automobiles. The invention relates to a brake actuation device with
Translation change especially for motor vehicles with a pivot axis around a fixed axis
pivotable operating lever on which the flexible or leading to the brakes
articulated linkage engages in such a way that sein.Abstand
to the fixed pivot axis when pivoting the operating lever in the braking direction
first becomes smaller and then remains roughly constant, with a guide lever,
on which one directly attacking the operating lever and another with the
Brakes connected boom part are connected. Such brake actuators
are used to make better use of the actuation force and the actuation path
in that at the beginning of the actuation path with a small input path a relatively
large rod path and at the end with a large entrance path a relatively
small rod travel is achieved. The best utilization of the operating force and
of the actuation travel arises when the actuation force on a very
small actuation path increases to the maximum permissible and then constant
remains, because then the largest possible working field of actuation force and actuation travel
can be included. The above known braking device is satisfactory
not insofar as it does not succeed, especially with a less elastic brake linkage
and with so-called good adjustment of the braking system, i.e. with a small air gap,
to let the translation grow as quickly as the one explained below
corresponds to new knowledge, in connection; with the requirement that after reaching
the maximum gear ratio this is kept approximately constant or again
weak
drops while as much rod travel can be taken up as the maximum
Clearance corresponds to.
Fig.1 zeigt eine Bremsbetätigungsvorrichtung
Fig.2 zeigt eine Stirnansicht zu Fig.1. Fig.3 zeigt eine ähnliche Bremsbetätigungsvorrichtung
Fig.4 zeigt wieder eine Stirnansicht zu Fig.3.
The knowledge mentioned consists in the fact that the translation on the so-called elasticity path, i.e. after applying the brake shoes, i.e. after overcoming the clearance until the maximum linkage force has been reached, must increase in the same ratio to the path as the linkage force to the path to achieve constant actuation force despite increasing linkage force. In order to meet this requirement, the brake actuation device of the type mentioned according to the invention is designed so that in the release position the linkage part directly engaging the actuating lever encloses an acute angle with the guide lever, which increases when pivoting in the braking direction, while with the brakes connected rod part with the guide lever encloses an obtuse angle which only changes when pivoting in the braking direction that 9o degrees are reached or only slightly exceeded. In a further embodiment of the invention, a cam track can be provided on the actuating lever, on which the flexible or articulated rod part connecting the two levers rolls according to a predetermined pivoting path, the distance of this rod part from the fixed pivot axis being changed in a predetermined ratio to the pivoting path of the actuating lever . The brake actuation device according to the invention offers the possibility to better utilize the actuation force and the actuation path that the required maximum linkage force is achieved even with a very tight setting of the brake, because the Zunahn.e of the translation essentially better match the increase in linkage force after application the brake shoes can be adjusted. This adaptation is possible by means of very simple structural measures, for example changing the angle of attack of a linkage on a lever, and the manufacture of the device is not particularly expensive. The course of the gear ratio change can be designed as desired with simple means and thus adapted to the needs of a vehicle type. Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings. 1 shows a brake actuator having a parking brake lever 1, which is connected with a guide lever 8 of the brake rod 9 through a flexible trained tension member, for example a steel cable 2, wherein both levers have their fixed pivot axis 4, and 1 on a support plate 12th FIG. 2 shows an end view of FIG. FIG. 3 shows a similar brake actuation device to FIG. 1, the flexible tension member 2 being guided on the actuating lever 1 over a curved path. FIG. 4 again shows an end view of FIG. 3. A flexible tension member 2, which can also be designed as an articulated linkage, engages at the actuating lever 1, which is designed here as a handbrake lever, at 3 and connects the actuating lever 1 to a guide lever 8 to which the linkage part 9 leading to the brakes is connected at 5. The tension member 2 engages the guide lever 8 at 7 * so that the tension member 2 forms an acute angle with the connecting line between its point of application 7 and the pivot axis 11. On one side of the actuating lever 1, the handle 14 is attached where the actuating force acts. At the other end, concentric to the pivot axis 4, a curved track 13 is attached, which sets a limit to the approach of the tension member or rod part 2 to the pivot axis 4 when the lever 1 is pivoted in the braking direction. As a result, when pivoting in the braking direction, the translation on lever 1 increases up to a maximum and then remains constant when the cam track 13 is designed as shown in FIG. In FIG. 3, the curved path is not designed concentrically to the pivot axis 4. Here the flexible or articulated rod part 2 comes to rest on the left end of the cam track 13 after a relatively small pivot angle of the lever 1 in the braking direction and then rolls off to the end of the working angle. The distance between the rod part 2 and the pivot axis 4 is controlled by the shape of the cam track 13 in a predetermined ratio to the pivoting path of the lever 1. The distance decreases to a minimum and increases again by a small amount in the last part of the pivoting movement. As a result, the gear ratio at the brake actuation lever 1, ie the ratio of the input path to the output path, is initially greater and again decreases by a smaller amount after a maximum value. In this way, a somewhat larger rod travel is achieved on the last part of the pivoting movement in the braking direction. Due to the fact that the rod part 2 encloses a relatively acute angle with the guide lever 8 in the release position, the pivoting path of the guide lever 8 increases rapidly at the beginning of the pivoting movement of the actuating lever 1 and the distance of the rod part 2 from the pivot axis 1 of the guide lever 8 increases correspondingly quickly . This effect is multiplied by the increase in the translation on the actuating lever 1 as the rod part 2 approaches the fixed pivot axis 4. The embodiment of the cam track 13 shown in FIG. 3 is particularly advantageous when the working angle of the actuating lever 1 is greater, approximately 90 degrees. In this case, the translation increases under certain circumstances during the pivoting path so strongly towards the end of the pivoting movement that a slowing down of the approach of the rod part 2 to the pivot axis 4 is desirable. It is up to you to influence the increase in the translation in the desired ratio by designing the curve shape accordingly. For reasons of space, it is often advisable to let the operating lever 1 work with a large pivoting angle, because the length of the lever 1 is correspondingly shorter. The operating lever 1 can be designed in a different shape than the figures show. It can be provided with a linkage connection, the linkage producing a connection to a hand or foot lever.
