Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft die Herstellung von Eisenmangan unter gleichzeitiger
Gewinnung von Oxyden der Alkalien oder Erdalkalien im elektrischen Ofen.
Das Verfahren besteht darin, daß zunächst Mangan- und Eisenoxyd enthaltendes Manganerz
durch unmittelbare Wirkung des Schwefelalkalis, dessen Oxyd man erzeugen will, oder
mittels des entsprechenden Sulfats in Gegenwart von Kohle verschlackt wird. Hierbei
wird ein schmelzflüssiges Gemisch der Oxyde von Mangan und Eisen und des Alkali- oder
