Such ferrite cores are used, for example, as ferromagnetic materials for electrical coils, over- • Trager or the like. Used.
It is already known to produce manganese-zinc-ferrite cores by mixing iron oxide, zinc oxide and manganese carbonate, in which the mixture of the three starting materials pre-sintered at approximately 955 0 C, ground, pressed and then sintered. The sintering takes place in a very low-oxygen atmosphere, with an oxygen content of approximately 0.75 # being assumed to be the most favorable for achieving low losses. The cooling of the sintered material takes place of sinter temperature to 540 0 C very quickly. This rapid quenching is intended to avoid a reduction in the favorable magnetic properties. A ferrite core produced according to this known method the composition of 61.8 wt Fe # 9 Op, 23.8 wt # MnCO, and 14.4 Gevffo ZnO (calculated on the starting mixture) led to a loss factor tg. £ u // a = 10 "" ^ at a frequency of 0.1 MHz.
It is also known to add a manganese-zinc ferrite of more than 62 MoIfS Fe 2 O, 0.1 Gev # calcium to reduce losses. It is also known to add up to 5% by weight of manganese oxide to presintered nickel-zinc ferrites and to sinter the ground mixture again.

It has been shown that the already known manganese-zinc ferrite cores, which are used for medium wave ranges, i.e. frequencies up to about 2 MHz, and a permeability of a few 100, e.g. 400 to 800, are relatively unstable magnetically. It is therefore an object of the invention that magnetic stability, i.e. the dependence of the permeability on the temperature, and the temporal constancy of the permeability to improve. In doing so, the losses should not be reduced. So far it has not seemed possible to keep low at the same time To achieve losses and magnetic stability to a satisfactory extent. Since then you have had a relatively high level of stability have to record a strong increase in losses or, on the other hand, with low losses a high thermal and Accept temporal instability of the manganese-zinc ferrite cores have to. In addition, the method according to the invention should not lead to the pressed core parts being sintered strongly distort a relatively large shrinkage. This condition is particularly important in the production of pot kernels, which have an air gap in the inner slug dc3 core.
It has been shown, surprisingly, that by a combination different, partly toreito known characteristics the object of the invention can be achieved and magnetically very stable cores are produced with low losses at the same time can be.

According to the invention, the iron oxide is mixed with the zinc oxide and pre-sintered. Only after this pre-sintering, in which already a partial politicization, ie a plague ; body reaction between Fe 2 O and ZnO has taken place, the mixture is mixed with manganese carbonate. The mixture produced in this way is now shaped into the desired compacts and sintered.
Sehr vorteilhaft ist die allmähliche Abnahme des Sauer-It has proven to be particularly advantageous if, in contrast to the previous view, the sintered atmosphere does not consist of nitrogen that is as pure as possible. In a further embodiment of the invention, more than 2 vol $ oxygen should be contained in the nitrogen of the sintering atmosphere. The proportion of oxygen can be increased to a composition that corresponds to that of the air, but a proportion of 5 to 12% oxygen is best. The cores sintered according to this further embodiment of the invention have a lower temperature coefficient of permeability than manganese-zinc perite cores which are sintered in a pure nitrogen atmosphere. However, this further development of the invention does not in itself lead to an improvement in the constancy of the permeability over time. The cooling of the sintered material is less critical, but the best properties of grains produced according to the invention have been found when the sintered product is slowly cooled approximately linearly at a rate of about 100 ° C. per hour. The gradual decrease in acidity is very beneficial

stoffgehaltos in der Stickstoffatmosphäro beim Abkühlen zwischen der Sintertemporatur und der Curietemperatur.substance content in the nitrogen atmosphere when cooling between the sintering temperature and the Curie temperature.
The pre-sintering of the iron oxide-zinc oxide mixture takes place in particular at temperatures of less than 95O 0 C, temperatures between about 850 and 900 0 C have proven to be the most favorable.
So wird folgender Zusammencotzung der Vorzug eingeräumt:Extensive tests have shown that the composition of the ferrite core is of no small importance for the possesses magnetic properties. A further improvement in the quality of ferrites produced in this way takes place by adding small amounts of calcium oxide. It is particularly advantageous if the sintered product is 0.05 to 0.2, in particular about 0.1% by weight of CaO.

In addition, it follows from the family of curves that the small temporal Inconsistency values of well-sintered cores with a shrinkage of about $ 15 due to the shift in secondary permeability3; maximums can be reached below the measuring temperature.
Extensive further measurements showed that there was a causal relationship exists between the secondary maximum permeability and the constancy of the permeability. So it was found that with the same composition and the same sintering temperature, as shown in FIG. 1, the constancy of the permeability is improved if the operating temperature range of the ferrite core is selected below the secondary maximum. These manganese-zinc-ferrites namely have a perminvar effect essentially only at temperatures above the secondary maximum, while below this maximum they have a stronger isopermic character own. These properties seem to be a criterion for constancy. In a further development of the invention the nuclei are therefore contrary to the previous view, according to which because of the somewhat more favorable temperature dependence the permeability the ferrite cores were used above the secondary maximum, now somewhat below this maximum operated.
Aus dieser DarstellungIn FIG. 4, the dependence of the inconstancy values on the proportions of manganese carbonate in relation to the manganese oxide is at the same final composition of the manganese-zinc-ferrite according to the example given above. It follows that the inconsistency values asymptotically approach a maximum of less than 10 · 10 ", the more the proportion of manganese carbonate increases Cost of 3 manganese oxide is increased. geht klar der unerwartete Vorteil der Verwendung von Mangankarbonat anstelle des Manganoxids hervor.clearly goes the unexpected benefit of using manganese carbonate instead of the manganese oxide.
In Fig. 5 is the dependence of the losses on the shares of calcium oxide in manganese-zinc perrites produced according to the invention specified. It can be seen that curve 3, in which the entire manganese component is used as oxide, is not only used has a stronger dependency on the proportions of CaO, but also has almost twice the losses compared to using only manganese carbonate as the manganese component. The related curve 4 is far cheaper than that Curve 3. When using half manganese oxide and half manganese carbonate according to curve 5, average properties are achieved, which, however, are closer to curve 4. With a view to further reducing the shrinkage during sintering, hence a small proportion of the manganese component, e.g. 25%, as Manganese oxide without significant deterioration in losses in the Can still be used within the scope of the method according to the invention.
The knowledge that produced by the method according to the invention, Perminvar-like manganese-zinc perrites are thermally more stable if the permeability-temperature characteristics are not or only has a hardly pronounced secondary maximum, and that the temperature range below such a secondary Maximum in terms of thermal stability.
