B e s c h r e i b u n g Yerbrennungsvorrichtuna. Die Erfindung bezieht
sich auf eine Verbrennungsvorrichtung, die mit flüssigem Brennstoff betrieben werden
kann und eine Luftkammer sowie eine mit feuerfestem Material ausLsekleidete Verbrennungskammer
umfaßt; hierbei sind die beiden Kammern im wesentlichen als gleichachsige Rotationskörper
ausgebildet und miteinander durch eine zentral angeordnete Üffnung verbunden, deren
Durchmesser kleiner ist als der Durchmesser jeder der beiden Kammern; ferner ist
ein Zerstäubungsbrenner für fl;issigen Brennstoff in der ,Luftkammer gleichachsig
mit dieser so angeordnet, daß der zerstäubte Brennstoff in Form eines Hohlkegels
naI- e dem. Uand der zentralen Öffnung in die Verbrennun._ skammer eingespritzt

Eine derartige Verbrennun svorrichtung ist bereits aus dem Patent
908 513 bekannt. :Vie in dem genannten Patent bescl:.rieben,-erzeugt diese
bekannte Verbrennungsvorrichtung eine Flamme von kompakter Form, die sich als Zegelfläche-mit
großem Scheitelwinkel beschreiben läßt, wobei. sowohl auf der Innensei-
te als auch auf der Außenseite ein torusförmiger "irbel ent-
steht; die `lammen drehen sich um die Achse der Verbrennungs-
kammer. Die Verbrennung spielt sich in erster Linie innerhalb
der Verbrennungskammer ab, deren :vand daher auf eine
hohe Tempe-
ratur erhitzt wird.
Wenn. in dieser bekannten Vorrichtung insbesondere vl-
rückstände mit fische bildenden Bestandteilen verbrannt vrerden,
kann es vorkommen, daB die feuerfeste J,.uskleidung ohne ;ilck-
sieht auf die Lage der VerbrennunbsvorrichtunG durch
die --sehe
beschädigt wird, welche sich auf der Band etwa in der if.itte
der
Brennkammer ablagert, d.h. annahernd auf demjenigen feil der
Brenukammerwand, welcher mit der Lasis der .kegelförmigen Flwnme
in Berührung kommt. Bei hohen Temperaturen im Bereich
von 16000 C
greift diese Asche die Auskleidung an, und sie kann
zusammen
mit unverbranuten oder nur teilgreise verbrannten Brennstoff-
teilchen., die gegen die Wand geschlaudert werden, zur
Nildung
von koks führen.
Eine Verbes@3erung dieser Verbrennungsvorrichtung
ist in

Zwar verhindert diese Konstruktion" daß die Brennkammer-

der Verbrennun- "svorrichtunga@"@wierigkeiten, Um einen sich

einer- ausreici enden: -Gesc'-#.windiglreit bewegenden Gasstrom
in dem
ringförmigen Schlitz zu erzeugen; hat es sich als erforderlich
erwiesen,-den'Lichlitz ziemlich eng, auszubilden. insbesondere
bei der Verwendun(@ von Brennstoffen mit hohem Äsehegehalt
können
sich dann Schwierigkeiten' aus der Tatsache ergeben, daß sich
`.'eile des Schlitzes verstopfen., was zu .einer ungleichmäßigen
Zufuhr der Sekundärluft führt. In diesem Falle wird die Brenn-
kammeremand unzureichend gegen eine direkte Berillrrung mit
der
Flamme geseh#,:tzt, so daß örtliche Beschädigungen auftreten
können.
I3unmehr wurde festgestellt, daß diese nachteiligen Er-
scheinungen nicht mehr auftreten, wenn man den ringförmigen
Schlitz durch mehrere Einlafjkanäle für Sekundärluft ersetzt,
die kranzförmig um die Brennkammerachse herum angeordnet sind.
Die vrfindung sieht somit eine Verbesserung der erw<ahn-
ten'Verbrennungsvorrichtung für flüssigen Brennstoff vor; hier-
bei umfallt die Verbrennungsvorrichtung eine Luftkammer und
eine. .

herum angeordnet und so nach außen gerichtet sind.' daß die

dinkte Berührung mit der Flamme schätzt.
Zwar sollte man annehmen,. da.ß die auf diese Weise ei#d-
folgende Zufuhr von Sekundärluft den Strömungsverlauf - ii-a.er-
Brennkammer, erheblich stören müßte, doch hat es sieh. gezeigt,
daß sich bei der Konstruktion nach der vorliegenä®n Erfindung
der gleiche äußere torusförrnige Wirbel ausbildet'=wie bei
der
Konstruktion nach dem Patent 908 513e wie es bazüglich
der
8tabilsierung der Flamme erwünscht ist. Um einen einwandfreien
Betrieb der Verbrennungsvorrichtung zu gewährleisten, ist es
zweckmäßig, daß die insgesamt als I@rimärluft und Bekundärluft
zugeführte Luftmenge möglichst genau der theoretisch für die
Verbrennung des Brennstoffs benötigten Luftmenge entspricht.
Diese Verbrennung fährt zu sehr hohen Temperaturen sowohl
der
Flamme als auch der Brennkammerwand.
Die 8ekundärlufteinlässe werden vorzugsweise unter einem
1'linkel von 20 bis 4& gegenüber der Brennkammerachse
so ange-
ordnet, daB die eintretende Luft an Funkten auf die
zylindrische.
Brennkammerwand auftrifft, die sich in einem ilbstand vom Ein-
trittsende der Brennkammer befinden, welcher zwischen einem
Drittel und zwei Dritteln der Länge der rund beträgt. Die
Zahl der Kanäle variiert in Abhängigkeit von der vorgesehenen
Leistungsfähigkeit der Vorrichtung. Im allgemeinen sieht min
zwölf bis 36 Kanäle und vorzugsweise 1$ bis 24 Kanäle
vor, die
mit.der Brennkamnerachse einen Winkel von etwa 300 einschließen.

den, sondern kreuzen. In diesem Falle liegen die Kanäle
auf der
vberfläc!e eines i#otationshgperboloids, dessen Achse mit der
hrenrikammerachse zusammenfällt. Bei dieser Konstruktion wird
der-in-die Brennkammer ein-cäretenden Sekundärluft eine Drehbe-
we,#n5erteilt, und zwar entweder im gleichen Sinne
wie der
zentral zugefiihrten Primärluft oder im entgegengesetzten ;inne.
"=iie einleitend erwähnt, beseitigt die vorliegende Ur-
findung die Schwierigkeiten, welche sich daraus ergeben, daB
Ascheteilchen, die mit feuerfestem Material verkleidete Brenn-
kammerwand angreifen, wenn die Verbrennung mit Hilfe
einer Flamme
von bestimmter .Form und bestimmten Bewegungsverhalten
durehge-
fÜhrt wird. In diesem Zusammenhang sei bemerkt, daß
bei einigen
bekenn en Vorsctaägen, Nek-undärluft um den 1-rimärlufteinlaß
einer
Verbrennungsvorrichtung herum zuzufiihren, die oben. erwähnte
Schwierigkeit keine (tolle spielte, denn in
den betreffenden

liegenden Erfindung liefert einen ausreichenden bchutz gegen
solche Beschädigungen, während die Form der Flamme unverändert
bleibt, so daß die Verbrermungsvorric-:tung mit der erwähnten
hohen Belastung betrieben werden =ann.
