Description
Ironless vertical deflection circuit with transistors In vertical deflection circuits, the deflection coil can be regarded as an almost purely ohmic resistance during the delay time, because the voltage drop across the inductive portion of the deflection coil is only small. During the flyback time, however, the inductive component of the deflection coil causes a high voltage pulse across the deflection coil due to the rapid change in the deflection current, which, with the usual flyback time of 1 ms, is nineteen times as large as the voltage across the inductive component during the trace. In the F i g. 1 and 2 show these relationships. F i g. la shows the course of the current i through the deflection coil and at the same time the voltage Up, at the ohmic component R of the deflection coil. F i g. 1 b shows the voltage across the inductive component L. It amounts to approximately 19 - ULH during the propagation time H - ULH and during the return time R. So that in the deflection coil the desired linearly increasing and rapidly decreasing current according to FIG. 1 a can flow, so the sum of the voltages according to F i g must be at the deflection coil. la and form B1.
For vertical deflection circuits with an output transformer, it provides whose magnetization inductance is an energy-storing element the energy absorbed during the outward flow is partially added during the return used to divert the deflection current from its z. B. positive maximum value in the short available ramp-down time to the desired negative maximum value bring. The high return voltage required for this is created automatically when the current in the final transistor is interrupted. Since there is no direct voltage at an inductance can drop, the transformer also causes the zero line of the output voltage corresponds approximately to the operating voltage, i.e. the collector voltage to a certain extent around the operating voltage.
Efforts are being made, however, to construct vertical deflection circuits without an output transformer, namely ironless, in order to reduce the dimensions and weight of the circuit in particular. In such an ironless circuit, there is no longer any energy-storing element. This means that the sum of the voltages according to FIGS. la and lb, namely the voltage UI = 2 - URs + 20 - ULI, must be included in the operating voltage if the desired current according to FIG. la is to train in the deflection coil. Since the return pulse thus makes up part of the operating voltage, only a remaining part of the operating voltage remains for the sawtooth-shaped part during the trace, so that the achievable amplitude for the sawtooth voltage is reduced.
It is possible to increase the operating voltage so far that the flyback voltage is included in the operating voltage and the sawtooth voltage still has the desired amplitude. But this means a significant deterioration the efficiency of the entire circuit.
It is also known (Swiss patent 385 915) to switch off the deflection circuit from the operating voltage terminal during the flyback time with a diode serving as a switch element, so that a high flyback pulse can develop independently of the operating voltage. With this circuit, however, the current can only decay to zero and not, as required, be brought to a maximum in the opposite direction.
The invention is based on the object of an ironless way Formation of the high return voltage, which is approximately equal to twice the amplitude of the Trace voltage is to enable and a much better efficiency too reach.
The invention is based on an ironless vertical deflection circuit with transistors, in the case of the deflection coil located in the output circuit of the output stage a high voltage pulse occurs during the flyback time and a power supply connection the output stage with an operating voltage via a voltage-controlled, while the Return time non-conductive switch element is connected.
The invention consists in that the power supply connection with a second voltage controlled Switch element during the Ramp-down time connected to a second operating voltage that is greater than the first is.
For example, the first operating voltage is during the trace time stored in a capacitor, during the release time between the first Operating voltage and the power supply connection is switched. The condenser is dimensioned so large that its charge does not change during the return time changes significantly.
A major advantage of the invention is that a better Efficiency is achieved by briefly increasing the operating voltage, but in doing so the deflection circuit can be constructed completely ironless.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.

The same parts are provided with the same reference numbers in the figures.
In Fig. 3 , a vertical output stage 1 is controlled by a terminal 2 with a sawtooth-shaped voltage 3. A deflection coil 4 is connected to the vertical output stage 1. A power supply terminal 24 of the vertical output stage 1 during trace through a switch 5 (lower position) to a first operating voltage - U, in accordance with F i g. 1 c connected, with a capacitor 17 also charging through a resistor 19 to the voltage -U . During the return movement, in the upper position of the switch 5 , the charged capacitor 17 is connected between the operating voltage - U and the terminal 24, so that now according to FIG. 1 c at stage 1 is twice the operating voltage -2 U. At point 6 of deflection coil 4, a sawtooth-shaped voltage 7 according to FIG. Form 1 d between the values - U, and 0 . Since the increased operating voltage -2 U is applied to the circuit only during the flyback time R, the efficiency of the circuit, apart from the insignificant losses in the capacitor 17 , is not impaired.
In Fig. 4, the vertical output stage is formed by two complementary output transistors 8, 9 , the emitters of which are interconnected and connected via a coupling capacitor 10 to the deflection coil 4, the other end of which is connected to a terminal 11 with the voltage -U . The collector of transistor 9 is grounded. The bases of the transistors 8, 9 are connected to one another and also to the collector of a driver transistor 12 and to the terminal 11 via two resistors 13, 14. The emitter of the driver transistor 12 is grounded. The connection point of the resistors 13, 14 is connected to the emitters of the transistors 8, 9 via a capacitor 15 . The collector of the transistor 8 is connected to the terminal 11 via a diode 16 serving as the first switch element and also connected via a capacitor 17 to the collector of a transistor 18 serving as the second switch element. The collector of this transistor is grounded via a resistor 19 and its emitter is connected to terminal 11 .
The mode of operation of this circuit is as follows: The two transistors 8, 9 are fed a sawtooth-shaped control voltage 22 via the driver transistor 12, which causes the desired sawtooth-shaped current in the deflection coil. The transistor 18 is non-conductive during the trace time. During the delay time, the diode 16 is conductive and connects the collector of the transistor 8 to the operating voltage -U .
Since the upper electrode of the capacitor 17 is practically connected to the terminal 11 and its lower electrode is practically connected to earth because of the non-conductive transistor 18 , the capacitor 17 charges during the delay time via the resistor 19 to approximately the voltage -U . This charging process has no influence on the effect of the deflection circuit during the trace time. During the retrace time the transistor 18 is supplied with a positive g> directed pulse 23 conducting. A negative pulse 23 then appears at the collector of transistor 18 , which makes the diode 16 non-conductive, so that the collector of transistor 8 is separated from terminal 11 . Since, because of the conductive transistor 18, the lower electrode of the capacitor 17 and the collector of the transistor 18 practically on the voltage at the terminal 11, i. H. are on the voltage 'ru # and the capacitor 17 is also charged to the voltage - U, the voltage - U, at the terminal 11 and the voltage - U, at the capacitor 17, so that during the flyback time at the collector of the transistor 8 approximately twice the voltage -2 U, according to FIG. 1 d is available and the formation of the desired sawtooth-shaped current in the deflection coil according to FIG . la allows.
