Description
The present invention relates to an oil burner with a burner nozzle and a conical air deflector that extends radially up to the outer burner wall extends, arranged in the air guide screen air supply openings that have air guide vanes that are bent out of the air guide screen are, and which has a central air opening, in the area of which the burner nozzle is arranged.
In British Patent 408 550 , an oil burner with a ke el-shaped air deflector is described, 9 C in the jacket surface of which tapered trapezoidal air passage openings are arranged towards the center, the likewise trapezoidal air guide vanes are bent back outwards and the burner nozzle is arranged inside the air deflector.
In the German patent specification 853 325 an atomizing burner for liquid fuels is described in which an air guide is also provided around the burner nozzle, which is provided with trapezoidal openings and inwardly directed air guide vanes.
It has now been shown that with such oil burners, because of the strong throttling must be driven with suction acre blowers, the shape of the Air openings of crucial importance for the combustion is that the known Burners tend to form soot even if there is a large excess of air.
The present invention has the object to -runde, by a special shape of the air supply openings and a special arrangement of the air guide vanes In the flow cone around the burner nozzle, such a good turbulence of the fuel-air mixture to achieve that the burner is operated continuously with practically no excess air can without it sooting.
The invention consists in the burner nozzle in a manner known per se is designed as a swirl-generating burner nozzle and that the air supply openings are designed to expand radially inward and the air guide vanes so are directed that they swirl the combustion air in the same direction how to achieve the torch nozzle.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, for which only protection is claimed in connection with the above-mentioned subject matter of the invention, the air supply openings are triangular in the air duct.
In this way it is achieved that the fuel-air mixture cone is kept in constant rotation and it has a proportion that decreases towards the edge is supplied in air, which is soot-free even with a very small excess of air Combustion results, whereby an extremely high efficiency of the burner is achieved.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely FIG. 1 shows a partial sectional view of an oil burner according to the invention and FIG . FIG. 2 is a front view taken along line H-11 of FIG . 1.
The oil burner has within a cylindrical burner chamber 1 a swirl-generating burner nozzle 3 held by a tube 2, in front of which a conical air duct 4 is arranged, which extends radially to the wall of the burner chamber. In the air deflector 4, a central air opening 5 and side air supply openings 6 are provided, which have a triangular shape and are produced by punching out two sides, while the bent-back material along the third side forms air guide vanes 7. These air guide vanes 7 are so directed inwardly in the flow cone surrounding the burner nozzle that they generate a swirl of the combustion air flowing in through the air supply openings in the same direction as is generated by the burner nozzle. The triangular air supply openings are directed so that they expand radially inward, whereby their widest cross-section is near the central air opening and they supply the fuel-air mixture cone emanating from the nozzle with a proportion of air to be reduced towards the edge. The burner chamber 1, which is closed at the rear end with a cap 8 through which the tube 2 is passed, is surrounded by a flanged tube 9 which is open at the rear and through which air is introduced into the burner chamber. For this purpose, the burner chamber is provided with openings 10 , which can be partially closed by means of a rotatable ring 11, which is arranged on the cylindrical burner chamber 1 and has openings corresponding to the openings 10 , in order to limit the amount of air flowing into the burner chamber to the required value . As best seen in FIG. 2 can be seen, the air guide vanes 7 directed obliquely into the air flow generate a swirl counterclockwise, as indicated by the arrows 12, the direction of which corresponds to the swirl direction indicated by the arrow 13 of the flow cone emanating from the burner nozzle.
