Description
- Verfahren zur Herstellung von festhaftenden metallischen überzögen auf reinster Sintertonerdekeramik Die Erfindung befaßt sich mit einem Verfahren zur Herstellung von festhaftenden metallischen überzögen auf reinster Sintertonerdekeramik, bei welchem die Keramik mit einer aus Metall und Metalloxydpulver bestehenden Pastenauflage versehen wird, die anschließend in die Keramik eingebrannt wird.
- Es ist bekannt, daß die Aufbringung festhaftender Metallschichten, z. B. auf Forsteritkeramik, keine Schwierigkeiten bietet. In dieser Keramik schmilzt bei einer Temperatur von 1250 bis 1300° C bereits ein geringer Anteil der keramischen Masse und reagiert mit der Metallisierung, die beispielsweise aus einer aufgestrichenen Paste aus Wolfram- oder Molybdänpulver mit den üblichen Zusätzen aus Eisen oder Mangan besteht.
- Bei der Alz03 Keramik liegen die Dinge anders. Hier müssen die bei der Metallisierung reagierenden Bestandteile der Sintertonerdemasse besonders zugesetzt werden, weil man bisher auf reine Al203-Keramik eine festhaftende Metallisierung nur ungenügend einbrennen kann. Aus diesem Grunde hat die reine Sintertonerdekeramik im Röhrenbau für Metallkeramikröhren kaum Verwendung gefunden.
- Untersuchungen haben ergeben, daß die großen Festigkeitseigenschaften der reinen A1203 Keramik durch diese Zusätze stark gemindert werden und sich auch die dielektrischen Verluste, besonders bei höheren Temperaturen, ebenfalls verschlechtern. Man hat daher versucht und es sind in der Literatur viele Vorschläge bekanntgeworden, die Reaktionsfähigkeit der Metallpaste für reine Sintertonerdekeramik durch Zugabe von Sinterstoffen zu vergrößern. Derartige Zusätze bestehen beispielsweise aus Kieselsäure, Kaolin, Speckstein, Borsäure, Phdsphorsäure, Zirkonoxyd u. a.; es sind im wesentlichen die gleichen Stoffe, die in den Keramiken mit niedrigerem AI,03-Anteil enthalten sind. Das Hauptmerkmal dieser Sinterstoffe, die auch als saure Glasbildner bekannt sind, liegt darin, daß ihr Schmelzpunkt unter dem von reiner Sintertonerde liegt und die Stoffe beim Einbrennvorgang erweichen und mit der Metallisierung die feste Verbindung ergeben. Es ist auch bekannt, den Metallisierungspasten Oxyde der Metalle Nickel, Kobalt, Titan oder Calcium zuzusetzen.
- Für Sintertonerdekeramiken mit einem Reinheitsgrad bis zu 95% hat man durch diese Maßnahme auch zusätzlich eine Steigerung in der Haftfestigkeit der Metallisierung erreichen können. Für hochprozentige Sintertonerdekeramik mit einem A1.,03 Anteil von 99 0/ö und mehr zeigen derartige zur Metallisierung zugegebene Sinterstoffe nicht mehr die erwartete Wirkung. Es tritt hier sogar eine Schädigung der Keramik ein. Beim Einbrennvorgang der Metallisierung dringen die Sinterstoffe in die Korngrenzen der reinen Sintertonerde ein und verringern unter Auflockerung des Gefüges die Festigkeit der Keramik. Besonders auffällig ist diese Erscheinung bei Zusatz von Glaspulver zur Metallpaste, das in letzter Zeit von vielen Seiten vorgeschlagen wurde.
- Die Erfindung befaßt sich mit der Herstellung festhaftender metallischer überzöge auf reinster Sintertonerdekeramik. Es werden auch hier der Metallpaste Zusätze gegeben. Die Reaktionsfähigkeit der Paste mit der Keramik wird aber nicht durch Zugabe eines Stoffes, der beim Einbrennvorgang einen Schmelzfluß bildet, hervorgerufen, sondern durch ein hochschmelzendes, sehr feinkörniges keramisches Pulver mit einer großen Oberfläche.
- Die Erfindung besteht demgemäß darin, daß das Metalloxydpulver aus einem feinkörnigen AIuminiumoxydpulver mit großer Reaktionsoberfläche besteht.
- Es wurden der Metallpaste keramische Werkstoffe, wie A1202, ZrO, und Mg0, vorzugsweise reines AI,03Pulver, in einer Korngröße unter 3 g zugegeben. Der Schmelzpunkt dieser Pulver darf keinesfalls niedriger als der der Keramik selbst liegen. Durch Versuche konnte festgestellt werden, daß die große Oberfläche des zugesetzten feinkörnigen A1,03Pulvers nicht nur eine gesteigerte Sinterfähigkeit der Paste in sich, sondern auch ein festhaltendes Aufsintern der Keramik-Metall-Paste auf der Keramik selbst bewirkt, ohne daß eine Schwächung der Festigkeit der Keramik in der Lötzone eintritt. Zweckmäßig wird man auf dieser Schicht zur besseren Benetzung des totes noch eine zweite Metallisierungsschicht ohne Keramikzusatz aufbringen, die in ihrer Zusammensetzung den bisher bekannten Metallisierungen entspricht, $ride Schichten können einzeln aufgetragen und eingebrannt werden; es ist aber auch möglich, beide Schichten nacheinander aufzubringen und in einem Einbrennvorgang aufzusintern. Es hat sich als zweckmäßig erwiesen, die Pasten in einer Schichtstärke von etwa je 15 bis 20 #t aufzutragen.
- Die Grundschicht kann bis zu 50% keramischen Anteil enthalten. Gute Festigkeiten wurden mit 20 bis 30 % von 1 bis 2 w Korngröße erzielt. Als metallischer Bestandteil der Paste dient in üblicher Weise Wolfram- czder Molybdänpulver mit Zusätzen von. Eisen oder Mangan. Gute Ergebnisse werden auch mit Pasten erzielt, die nur aus Molybdän- und A40.-Pulver bestehen. Es hat sich als zweckmäßig erwiesen, auch die Metallpulver in einer Korngrüße uückt über 5 g zu verwenden.
- Als Beispiel für eine Metallisierung von reinster Sintertonerdekeramik nach der vorliegenden Erfindung seien die nachstehenden Zusammensetzungen der Pasten angegeben:

Die Keramikteile sind hiernach fertig vorbereitet zum Verlöten mit den Metallteilen in üblicher Weise mittels Silber, Silber-Kupfer, Gold-Kupfer und anderen Hartloten.
- Abschließend sei darauf hingewiesen, daß das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren insbesondere beim Bau von Metallkeramikrähren, wie sie in der Hochfreqüenztechnik Verwendung finden, mit Vorteil angewandt werden soll.
Claims (7)
- Patentansprüche: 1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von festhaftenden metallischen Überzügen auf reinster Sintertonerdekeramik, bei welchem die Keramik mit einer aus Metall und Metalloxydpulver bestehenden Pastenauflage versehen wird, die anschließend in die Keramik eingebrannt wird, dadurch g e -k e n n z e i c h n e t, daß das Metalloxydpulver aus einem feinkörnigen Aluminiumoxydpulver mit großer Reaktionsoberfläche besteht.
- 2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß auf die erste Metallisierungsschicht noch eine zweite, keinen Keramikzusatz besitzende Metallschicht aufgebracht wird.
- 3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß beide Schichten nacheinander auf die Keramik aufgebracht, jedoch in einem einzigen Einbrennvorgang aufgesintert werden.
- 4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die beiden Schichten in Stärken von je etwa 15 bis 20 #t aufgetragen werden.
- 5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine metallische Grundschicht mit einem keramischen Anteil bis zu etwa 50% verwendet wird.
- 6. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Korngröße des keramischen Anteils der Grundschicht bei 1 bis 2 #t und die Korngröße des metallischen Anteils nicht über 5 #t liegt.
- 7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß auf die Keramik eine Grundschicht mit folgender Zusammensetzung aufgetragen wird: 60% Mo-Pulver von 3 #t Korngröße, 1511/o Mn-Pulver von 3 #t Korngröße und 25% A1203 Pulver von 1 bis 2 #t Korngröße, und daß auf diese Grundschicht eine Metallschicht mit folgender Zusammensetzung aufgebracht wird: 90% Mo-Pulver von 3 [, Korngröße und 10% Mn-Pulver von 1 bis 2 g, Korngröße. B. Verfahren nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Metallisierungspasten in feuchtem H2 -I- N., eingebrannt werden.
