The present invention relates to an aluminum foil which is particularly suitable for electrolytic capacitors and which is produced using aluminum of a purity of at least 99.97 r ° / Ό.
As is well known, it is very difficult to produce aluminum foils of the highest purity without the aid of to roughen electric current in a satisfactory manner. They also occur occasionally when electrolytic Roughening up difficulties z. B. due to the coarseness of the metal are. Small amounts of chemical elements have already been added to the pure aluminum in order to to improve its etchability. For example, additives of 0.001 to 0.01% have been proposed Lead, tin, bismuth, antimony, thallium, titanium, nikkei, palladium, platinum, zirconium and also from 0.01 to 0.3% boron.
A film that is particularly suitable for roughening is, for example, the Swiss one U.S. Patent No. 338,309, U.S. Patent No. 2,886,432, British Patent No. 791,380, and U.S. Patent No. 2,886,432 the Austrian patent specification 198 852 described. This aluminum foil has besides aluminum and a maximum of 0.02% iron, silicon and other impurities with a content of 0.005 to 0.05% Boron at the same time with a content of 0.001 to 0.005% zinc and 0.0003 to 0.002% magnesium on, the ratio of zinc to magnesium being greater than 2: 1, preferably 3: 1 to 4: 1. Preferably the iron content is increased, e.g. B. down to 0.006%. Very good results are achieved with an iron content of 0.0025 to 0.0035%. The boron content alone allows a capacity increase of around 20% in the finished electrolytic capacitor, however, the addition of boron alone does not prevent the formation of coarse grains with certainty. This security is given by the further addition of zinc + magnesium.
0,02% Eisen, Silizium, Kupfer (Cu z. B. 0,001 bis 0,01%) und anderen Verunreinigungen einen Gehalt
von 0,003 bis 0,05% Beryllium auf. Auch hier ist Insbesondere für Elektrolytkondensatoren
geeignete AluminiumfolieThe present invention relates to an aluminum foil which is particularly suitable for electrolytic capacitors and which consists of aluminum of at least 99.97%, preferably at least 99.98% purity and additionally has a beryllium content of 0.003 to 0.05%. The film according to the invention accordingly has, in addition to aluminum and a total of at most 0.03%, preferably 0.02%, iron, silicon, copper (Cu e.g. 0.001 to 0.01%) and other impurities, a content of 0.003 to 0.05% Beryllium. ein Gehalt von 0,001 bis 0,005% Zink und 0,0003 bis 0,002% Magnesium innerhalb der Grenze von 0,03 bzw. 0,02% für die Verunreinigungen günstig; ein besonderes Gewichtsverhältnis des Zinks zum Magnesium ist erforderlich.a content of 0.001 to 0.005% zinc and 0.0003 to 0.002% magnesium within the limit of 0.03 or 0.02% are favorable for the impurities; a special weight ratio of the zinc to the Magnesium is required.
The aluminum foil of the present invention is particularly effective after a one-temperature final anneal between 500 ° C and just below the melting point of the aluminum (regardless of whether the final annealing in the air, in protective gas or in a vacuum) a noticeable improvement in terms of the achievable Capacity compared to the well-known aluminum foil with boron, zinc and magnesium content.
However, a simultaneous beryllium and boron content in the aluminum foil is also advantageous, the Boron content is 0.005 to 0.05%, and is preferably 0.005 to 0.015%.
The advantages of the film according to the invention can be illustrated by the following examples.
