Description
B. Kabelresten.Furnace system for the smokeless incineration of waste, in particular of metal-containing waste, e.g. B. Cable scraps The invention relates to a furnace system for the smokeless incineration of non-combustible waste, especially metal-containing waste Waste, e.g. B. Cable scraps.
It is well known that in the case of cable waste, the mechanical separation of the insulating and sheathing materials a very complex process. Moreover, the severed ones are Cases usually no longer usable for other purposes. One therefore restricts oneself insist on recovering the metal components by removing the insulating sleeves and, as far as the sheaths are made of plastic, also burnt down in a special furnace will. The sheath materials in question, such as oil-soaked paper, bitumen, Rubber, thermoplastics, etc., burn with a lot of smoke. It is necessary, to ensure that the smoke is destroyed, since when it escapes into the open it will die The environment is polluted and, moreover, harmful to health.
For the smokeless incineration of waste and cable scraps furnace systems are already known in which waste is initially carbonized in a primary stage and the smoldering gases are then burned in a special downstream chamber will. The combustion chamber for the exhaust or smoldering gases is in these systems relatively wide, d. H. designed with a large flow cross-section, so that there is no guarantee that the outflowing gases are uniform enough with the air supplied to achieve a perfect combustion process (secondary air) mix, especially since special devices for generating turbulence in the combustion chamber miss. Low-air gases or strands are formed. An insufficient degree of mixing but experience has shown that incomplete combustion of the carbonization gases is disadvantageous Episode. With a large flow cross-section there is also the disadvantage that the heat radiating from the hot chamber wall only to the outer layer of the gas flow acts, whereas those located closer to the core of the gas flow Hydrocarbons are not broken down thermally, so that these the combustion chamber left unburned. This is particularly true for flame-retardant high-molecular Hydrocarbons.
The invention is based on the knowledge that a completely smokeless Burning of carbonisation gases containing hardly combustible particles with larger Safety is guaranteed if the following prerequisites for the combustion process the following are fulfilled: 1. Good mixing of the carbonization gases with one for safe oxidation sufficient amount of air additionally blown into the ignition zone of the combustion chamber (Hot air); 2. Intense heat reflection in the carbonization gas air flow for splitting the carbonization gas particles, which are difficult to burn due to their high ignition temperature, into such low molecular weight particles, which have a relatively low ignition point.
The present invention particularly satisfies these conditions Formation of a combustion chamber downstream of the smoldering chamber by using this as a narrow, elongated, inwardly radiating and outwardly thermally insulated Tube is formed which is connected to the head part of the smoldering chamber and several in the entry area at a point of high carbonization gas velocity distributed over the circumference of the combustion chamber nozzles through which Hot air can be introduced perpendicular to the carbonization gas stream.
By arranging nozzles with a directional component vertical to the carbonization gas flow is achieved that the close to the confluence of the combustion chamber inflowing hot air causes a strong turbulence in the carbonization gas flow, through which an intimate mixing of all the carbonization gases with the hot air is forced. This is of decisive importance for the burning effect. The carbonization gas air mixture becomes long and narrow on its flow path through the heated to annealing temperature "Radiation vortex chamber" as a result of intense heat radiation from the chamber wall cracked, ignited and burned out for sure. Through the thermal insulation the radiation vortex chamber largely prevents heat radiation to the outside, whereby the carbonization gas particles which are easily ignitable in the radiation vortex chamber during combustion Released heat for the splitting and ignition of hardly combustible carbonization gas particles is used almost without loss. By the radiation vortex chamber according to the invention is also achieved that the carbonization gas air flow on its circumference from a glowing Radiant jacket is tightly enclosed so that the radiant heat also in the core of the Carbonization gas flow effective and an optimal thermal decomposition even of the hardly combustible Koblenwasserstoffe is reached by the radiant heat.
In the drawing is a cable burning furnace with one according to the invention designed radiation vortex chamber shown as an embodiment.
It denotes 1 the smoldering chamber of a vertically arranged multi-zone oven with the grate 1 a and the ignition point 1 b. In front of the Schwelraumöfinung 2 is a channel 3 for feeding the material to be fired. There is an air barrier in this channel (Air screen) 4 is provided, which blocks the space of the smoldering chamber 1 from the outside air. The air to form the barrier wall 4 is supplied by the fan 5, from which the sucked air is supplied to a wide jet nozzle 6 arranged in the bottom of the channel 3 will. The nozzle 6 is dimensioned so that the air flow extends over the entire cross section of the channel 3 distributed and forms such a tight barrier wall that the carbonization gases in the Smoldering room cannot escape to the outside through the air screen 4. The up directed air flow is provided in the ceiling of the channel 3 suction line 7 sucked off by means of a fan 8.
The smoldering chamber 1 is provided with a dome-shaped attachment 9 to which the chamber 10, which is used to burn the smoldering gases, is connected in the form of a long tube with a narrow flow cross-section. The pipe is thermally insulated from the outside and its inner wall is designed as a heat-storing radiation surface that surrounds the carbonization gas flow like a jacket over the entire length of the pipe. In front of the confluence of the combustion chamber 10 , one or more burners 11 are provided, which are used to heat the combustion chamber 10 to operating temperature when the furnace is started up. At the inlet to the combustion chamber, that is at a point of high carbonization gas velocity, nozzles 12 are provided through which air or hot air is supplied to the combustion chamber 10. At the outlet end of the combustion chamber, a spatially expanded combustion chamber 13 is connected, which is conically constricted at both ends. In the burnout chamber 13 there are impact bodies, e.g. B. in the form of plates 14 which are arranged in the flow path of the withdrawing carbonization gases and are heated by them. At the outlet end of the burn-out chamber 13, an ejector nozzle 15 is installed in such a way that the air flow supplied by the fan 16 sucks the exhaust gases still present in the burn-out chamber 13 into the open air like an exhaustor.
In the interest of maximum thermal efficiency of the furnace operation, the outflowing carbonization gases are largely used to heat the required hot air, specifically at a point in the furnace system at which the combustion process has ended. For this purpose, a heat exchanger 17 is installed in the last part of the burnout chamber 13, around which the hot exhaust gases flow. The heat exchanger 17 is connected to the fan 8 via the line 18. The outlet of the heat exchanger is connected via line 19 to the nozzles 12 of the combustion chamber 10 and via a branch line 20 to the auxiliary burner 11.
The furnace system described works as follows: The charring chamber 1 is fed through the air barrier 4 through the firing material (cable waste or the like). The material lying on the grate 1 a is ignited by means of the auxiliary flame 1 b. By controlling the under-air supply into the smoldering room 1, it is ensured that the combustion remains imperfect, ie only takes place as smoldering at a lower temperature. This also ensures that a reducing atmosphere is maintained so that oxidation and scaling of the metals are largely avoided. However, the temperature is chosen so that the low-melting metals, e.g. B. lead, liquid in the material to be fired and drain through the grate 1 a so that they can be collected in a container. The ascending carbonization gases pass through the dome-shaped narrowing head piece 9 in the elongated combustion chamber 10. The Schwelgasstrom is intimately mixed here with hot air fed by the coming from the heat exchanger 17 line 19 and is introduced via the nozzles 12 into the combustion chamber 10 degrees.
The incoming hot air is directed so that it is a directional component perpendicular to the carbonization gas flow. This forces a strong vortex to form. The smoldering gases mixed with air are released in the combustion chamber through the in its inner wall stored radiant heat ignited. Depending on the material to be fired regulates the temperature in the combustion chamber to about 800 ° C and above. In addition to the ignition of the gas mixture, the radiant heat also causes the Cracking of the hardly combustible parts of the gases causes. The heat of combustion released maintains the temperature of the radiant wall of the combustion chamber. Through the elongated combustion chamber with a relatively narrow flow cross-section there is such a high energy density that compliance with the above high temperatures. By making the combustion chamber a long one and narrow pipe will also cause intense heat radiation on the entire gas flow cross-section reached by a short distance. When starting up the furnace, the necessary thermal equilibrium the combustion chamber 10 by the burner 11 by means Additional fuel can be heated. The even process of further combustion can be secured by catalysts. If the smoldering gases contain too large a quantity of hammer-emitting additions (e.g. HCl) the specific proportion of combustible gases by adding additional fuels increase (calorific value increase). It could be more economical though necessary increase of the specific calorific value through suitable composition to ensure the waste material as soon as it is introduced into the smoldering chamber 1.
The flame emerging from the combustion chamber 10 now passes into the burnout chamber 13, which is thermally insulated along the length of the flame. Sluggishly burning particles hit against those heated up by the hot flame edge Impact body 14 and burn there completely. Since the burnout chamber 13 opposite the Combustion chamber 10 is expanded spatially, by reducing the flow velocity of the gases effectively extends the residence time of afterburning particles. On the further Paths to the exit of the burnout chamber 13, the exhaust gases heat the heat exchanger 17 in which the air supplied by the fan 8 to the heat exchanger is heated. The ejector 16 sucks the residual gases by means of the nozzle 15 into the open air, which through the Mixture can be cooled with cold air at the same time. On the flow paths of the Carbonization gases through the multi-zone furnace, the hydrocarbons are largely burned, so that the carbonization gases leave the furnace practically without smoke.
