Description
GEBIET DER ERFINDUNGFIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the technical field of manufacturing the rare earth permanent magnet materials, particularly a rare earth permanent magnet having a multilayer structure and its manufacturing method.
STAND DER TECHNIKSTATE OF THE ART
NdFeB magnets have excellent magnetic properties and are widely used in automobile engines, electric bicycles, computer hard drives, power tools and other products, as well as audio equipment, communication products, medical equipment, household appliances, magnetic separation equipment and other fields, and have become an irreplaceable material in the process. NdFeB magnets also enable the application of some highly integrated high-tech products such as hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles and power generation wind turbines, etc. With the development of industry and the advancement of science and technology, magnetic devices with increasing miniaturization, thinness and intelligence are being developed, with higher demands being made on the magnetic properties of the NdFeB materials.
Compared to Nd 2 Fe 14 B compounds, Dy 2 Fe 14 B and Tb 2 Fe 14 B have higher magnetocrystalline anisotropic fields. Because of this, by adding heavy rare earth elements such as Dy and Tb, etc., the NdFeB magnets can be given a higher coercive force. However, the addition of heavy rare earth elements by direct alloying leads to a reduction in remanence.
The introduction of heavy rare earth elements through the double alloying and grain boundary diffusion method can optimize the distribution of rare earth elements and promote the formation of grains with a core-shell structure. The shell layer structure enriched with the heavy rare earths is conducive to significantly improving the coercive force of the magnet while not reducing the remanence significantly.
However, the cerium-rich magnets currently produced by the conventional sintering method have a low coercive force, and the performance only reaches the level of low and middle quality NdFeB magnets and cannot meet the requirements of the high-end markets.
AUFGABE DER ERFINDUNGOBJECT OF THE INVENTION
In view of the above, the present invention provides a rare earth permanent magnet having a multilayer structure and its manufacturing method in order to solve the above technical problems.
Die seltenerdreiche Phase enthält ein oder mehrere Seltenerdelemente von Ce, La, Pr, Nd, Dy, Tb, Ho und Gd.A rare earth permanent magnet having a multilayer structure is characterized in that the rare earth permanent magnet is composed of main phase grains in a three-layer structure and a rare earth rich phase. The main phase grains are divided into a core layer, a middle layer and a shell layer as a three-layer structure in accordance with the various chemical compositions, and their compositions are respectively R 1 -TB, R 2 -TB and R 3 -TB, where R 1 is at least one of Ce and La, R 2 contains at least one of Pr and Nd, and R 3 contains at least one of Dy, Tb and Ho, and where T is at least one of Fe and Co and B is a boron element. With respect to the elemental mass percentage, the sum of the Ce and / or La contents in R 1 is greater than 50% of R 1 , the sum of the Pr and / or Nd contents in R 2 is greater than 50% of R 2 and the sum of the contents Dy and / or Tb and / or Ho in R 3 is greater than 50% of R 3 . The rare earth rich phase contains one or more rare earth elements of Ce, La, Pr, Nd, Dy, Tb, Ho and Gd.
- (1) Jeweiliges Bereitstellen von drei Arten von feinen Pulvern von R1-M1-B, R2-M2 und R3-M3, wobei R1 mindestens eines von Ce und La, R2 mindestens eines von Pr und Nd und R3 mindestens eines von Dy, Tb und Ho enthält, und wobei M1 mindestens eines von Fe, Co, Al, Cu, Ga, Zr, Nb und Gd ist, und wobei M2 und M3 mindestens eines von Fe, Co, Al, Cu, Ga, Gd und B sind, und wobei B ein Borelement ist;
- (2) gleichmäßiges Rühren der feinen Pulver von R1-M1-B und R2-M2, Durchführen eines orientierten Formens des Magneten und eines isostatischen Pressens, um einen Grünkörper herzustellen;
- (3) Vakuumsintern des Grünkörpers zu einem Rohling;
- (1) Providing three kinds of fine powders, respectively, of R 1 -M 1 -B, R 2 -M 2, and R 3 -M 3 , where R 1 is at least one of Ce and La, R 2 is at least one of Pr and Nd and R 3 contains at least one of Dy, Tb and Ho, and where M 1 is at least one of Fe, Co, Al, Cu, Ga, Zr, Nb and Gd, and where M 2 and M 3 are at least one of Fe, Co Are Al, Cu, Ga, Gd and B, and where B is a boron element;
- (2) stirring the fine powders of R 1 -M 1 -B and R 2 -M 2 uniformly, performing oriented molding of the magnet and isostatic pressing to produce a green body;
- (3) vacuum sintering the green body into a blank;
- (4) Coating the surface of the blank with the R 3 -M 3 fine powder and performing a two-stage annealing heat treatment to produce the rare earth permanent magnet.
In the case of high-temperature vacuum sintering and heat treatment, the atoms diffuse into one another. The mixed powders of R 1 -M 1 -B and R 2 -M 2 are vacuum sintered to obtain a sintered green body. The sintered blank already has a two-layer structure to a certain extent, namely a usual core-shell structure, but the two-layer structure may not be clearly evident at this stage. During the subsequent heat treatment, the flow of the liquid phase and the further diffusion of atoms make the phenomenon of the two-layer structure stand out more clearly. In addition, the surface of the sintered blank is coated with a rare earth-rich R 3 -M 3 compound with a low melting point, R 3 -M 3 dissolves during the heat treatment and diffuses through the grain boundaries (namely the boundaries of the grains) in the magnet. R 3 -M 3 is distributed around the crystal grains and diffuses into one another with the atoms of the inner layer in order to promote the formation of the structure of the shell layer (third layer).
Preferably, the average particle size of the fine R 1 -M 1 -B powder is 1-5 µm, while the average particle size of the fine R 2 -M 2 powder and R 3 -M 3 powder is 1-4 µm.
The method for coating the surface of the blank with fine powders preferably includes the fine R 3 -M 3 powder being mixed evenly with alcohols and then evenly applied to the surface of the magnet blank, a two-stage annealing heat treatment being carried out after the surface has completely dried . The alcohols are linear or branched C1-C8-alkyl alcohols, preferably one or more of methanol, ethanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, n-butanol, isobutanol or tert-butanol.
In the two-stage tempering heat treatment, the first-stage tempering temperature is preferably 800-1000 ° C. and the time 2-9 hours, while the second-stage tempering temperature is 450-600 ° C. and the time 2-6 hours.
Compared with the prior art, the present invention optimizes the distribution of rare earth elements through the process improvement, and main phase grains having a three-layer layer structure are obtained. In the present invention, the R 1 2 T 14 B phase with a low magnetocrystalline anisotropic field is concentrated in the core region of the grain, while the R 2 2 T 14 B phase with a high magnetocrystalline anisotropic field is concentrated in the region of the middle layer and the R 3 2 T 14 B phase with the highest magnetocrystalline anisotropic field is enriched in the shell layer area. Under the action of an external magnetic field, the formation of the demagnetized nuclei of the grain generally starts from the surface layer of the grain. The heavy side earth 2: 14: 1 compound with a higher magnetic hardness of the outer layer can effectively resist the formation of the demagnetized cores and thereby increase the coercive force of the magnet. It should be noted that during the sintering and the high temperature annealing, the atoms diffuse through the grain boundaries to promote the formation of grains having a layered structure; at the same time, the rare earth atoms also partially diffuse into other layer areas and grain boundaries. As a result, the core area that the middle layer and the shell layer mainly composed of R 1 2 T 14 B, R 2 2 T 14 B and R 3 2 T 14 B also contain rare earth elements of the other layer areas, and the grain boundary phase contains the rare earth elements of the respective layer areas.
Compared to the currently existing two-layer grain structure, provided that the magnet composition is the same, the distribution of light and heavy rare earth elements in the three-layer grain structure of the present invention is more appropriate and contributes more to the overall performance of the magnet, particularly to the coercive force. In addition, the present invention increases the coercive force of the cerium-rich rare earth permanent magnet and improves the utilization value of the light rare earth element in the permanent magnet material, which is advantageous in promoting the balanced use of the rare earth element.

The magnetic components of the comparative examples in working examples 1 to 3 correspond to the magnets in the corresponding working examples, the manufacturing process is a conventional sintering process, and the magnetic grains do not have a layer structure. From the comparison of the magnetic performance in Tables 1 to 3, it can be seen that the coercive force of the multilayer structure magnet of the present invention is significantly higher than that of the magnet manufactured by the conventional technique, the remanence and the magnetic energy product being comparable to the conventional magnet.
With the technical improvement of the present invention, the distribution of rare earth elements is effectively regulated, the concentration of light rare earth elements is promoted within the grains, and the medium and heavy rare earth elements are distributed in the middle layer and the heavy rare earth elements are concentrated in the grain shell layer. This layer structure, in which the magnetocrystalline anisotropic field increases in layers from the inside to the outside, effectively reduces the weakening effect of the light rare earth element on the coercive force and enhances the effect of the heavy rare earth element to increase the coercive force.
Compared to the prior art, the cerium-rich magnet manufactured by the present invention can still obtain an excellent coercive force if the cerium content is more than 50% occupies the entire rare earth content. The increase in the coercive force is mainly due to the layer structure of the magnetic grains.
