Stand der TechnikState of the art
A peculiarity of the seams of the diamond deposit "M. W. Lomonosov "in the Arkhangelsk region of the Russian Federation predominates from saponite, which is characterized by a high degree of physicochemical activity and forms thin suspensions, gelatinous and non-consolidating suspensions and low density precipitates. The thickening of a saponite-containing suspension leads to the recovery of circulating water, d. H. of water, which is used several times for the enrichment of diamond-containing genera.
Zusammenfassung der Dissertation des Kandidaten der Geologie F. B. Karpenko, RANin-t Geoekologiji im W. M. Sergejewa, M., 2009)A process is known for thickening a saponite-containing suspension by freezing the suspension with subsequent condensation, which leads to breakage of the diffuse layer of mineral particles, their aggregation and to the formation of adjacent flocculation bonds under preciptation and subsequent dehydration and consolidation (see abstract of the dissertation the candidate of geology FB Karpenko, RANin-t Geoekologiji in the World Championships Sergeyeva, M., 2009)
The process is transient and reversible, requires significant ground detection, and is associated with significant material, equipment and organizational needs.
A flocculation process is known in which particles are removed by means of thickening with the aid of flocculants from liquids. In this case, the flocculation should destabilize the dispersion system and allow the adhesion of the particles under the action of molecular coupling forces to ultimately precipitate a precipitate from the suspension. The destabilization of the colloids takes place by means of the addition of flocculants, aluminum salts and iron salts. As a result of the hydrolysis of the salts in the solution, polyvalent metal ions are formed which reduce the repulsive forces between colloidal particles. After neutralizing the repulsive forces for easy stirring of the solution to repel the particles, and the attractive forces cause the particles to stick together, resulting in the formation of large agglomerates which are to be removed by clarification or filtration (M. Hammer.
A fundamental disadvantage of the known method is that the precipitation of small particles, for. As saponite, is time-consuming, which may adversely affect the processing of diamond deposits.
The chemical formula of the saponite molecule is NaMg 3 [AlSi 3 O 10 ] (OH) 2 .4H 2 O: As a mixture it may contain Fe, as well as Cr, Ni, Cu, Li and as an isomorphic mixture also Ca. A peculiarity of the saponite which negatively affects the ability of the particles in its aqueous suspension to take up the flocculant or the molecules of other particles is high magnesium (5-8%) and calcium (3-5%) saponite clay; Therefore, saponites have a high hygroscopicity. The saponite molecule belonging magnesium and calcium atoms have unsaturated bonds that absorb water molecules in the saponite molecule; in conjunction with this, the saponite molecule becomes neutral, unable to bind with the flocculant molecule of another saponite particle, and precipitates quickly enough.
The high magnesium and calcium content increases the structural viscosity of the saponite-containing suspension, which makes the flocculation of their particles difficult and a significant thickening rate of the saponite-containing suspension, and thus a high circulation water formation rate is not possible; therefore additional fresh water has to be included in the technological process.
The low thickening rate of the saponite-containing suspension can also lead to overfilling of the saponite tanks, contamination of adjacent natural waters and delaying the diamond mining operations.
Beschreibung der ErfindungDescription of the invention
The technical object of the invention is to provide a novel process in which the thickening rate of the saponite-containing suspension is increased.
The technical object is achieved by providing a method for thickening saponite-containing suspensions by precipitating their particles for subsequent precipitation of the precipitate formed thereby, in accordance with the invention carbonic acid gas in a ratio of 300 g per 1 kg of dry precipitate under a pressure of up to to 2 Kg / cm2 is added to the suspension.
After adding the carbonic acid gas into the saponite-containing suspension, it can be processed with a flocculant, preferably aluminum sulphate.
In the practice of the method, the amount of carbonic acid gas is to be determined taking into account the pressure of the added gas and the concentration of the suspension.
The addition of carbon dioxide gas in a ratio of 300 g: 1 kg of dry precipitate into the suspension under a pressure of 2 kg / cm 2 breaks the molecular structure of the thickened suspension, separates the magnesium and calcium carbonates in the solution and forms gaps in the vacancies The magnesium and calcium atoms in the saponite molecule are replaced by the hydrogen or metal ions with unsaturated molecular bonds that are taken up by the molecules of other saponite particles to form agglomerates that precipitate at high speed. This allows the thickening of the saponite-containing suspension on large Erzbehälterflächen and with high yield, and meets all the circulation water needs of the enrichment plant.
The ability to process the saponite-containing suspension after the addition of the carbonic acid gas with a flocculant, preferably with aluminum sulfate, can significantly increase the thickening rate of the suspension, which further increases the yield of the enrichment plant.
Specimens of a saponite clay solution from the Arkhangelsk diamond deposit were analyzed in the Laboratory of the Water Supply Department of Sankt-Peterburgski Gosudarstvenni Architekturno-Stroitelni Universitet for evaluation of precipitation and filtration possibilities.
Ausführungsformen der ErfindungEmbodiments of the invention
1. Ausführungsbeispiel1st embodiment
The volume of the copy is 1 liter. The solution is reddish brown and the concentration of the saponite suspension is 180 g / l. The precipitation possibility was tested in the generally accepted procedure with measuring cylinders with the addition of a flocculant (aluminum sulphate and VPK-420). In the course of 3 hours there was practically no precipitation.
2. Ausführungsbeispiel2nd embodiment
Two copies of the solution were needed; the concentration of the saponite suspension was 460 g / l and the volume was 900 ml. One of the specimens was processed with 250 g of carbonic acid gas per 1 kg of dry precipitate under a pressure of 1.5 kg / cm 2. The thickening of the saponite suspension was carried out in two-pin pistons of OOO Kalan (product no. EFVP-St-100x110-200). In each flask, 870 ml of the solution was poured. As a result, after one day, 175 ml of water was precipitated from the flask with the solution formed with the carbonic acid gas.
From the above examples, it can be concluded that the solution of the saponite suspension treated with the carbonic acid gas has a higher thickening rate.
The introduction of carbonic acid gas into the saponite suspension under a pressure of 2 kg / cm 2 and in the proportion of 300 g per 1 kg of dry precipitate increases the rate of thickening in the separation, in which respect the process according to the invention is superior to the prior art.
