Description
Process for the production of plastic, easy to process and pumpable lime and lime cement mortars for walls and plaster The invention relates to a simple and economical process for the production of highly plastic, Easy to work with mortars that can be pumped without difficulty for masonry and plaster made from activated lime dough.
Known methods for activating gemah-those mortar raw materials, especially of cement, make use of various apparatuses in which the raw material is whipped intensely, grated, ground and whirled, so that there are suspensions or homogeneous dough, which may have certain additives before whipping, etc. can be mixed. Mortar materials prepared in this way are so far only used Preparation of porous foam or insulating mortar used, i.e. for building elements, who have no construction to support; in the manufacture of concrete they will used exclusively to accelerate hardening.
The use of these methods to prepare lime and lime cement mortars for the erection of walls and their grouting was not possible until now.
A three-stage combined deletion and mixing process is also known, which is based on the experience that during the usual deletion process, which progresses from the outside to the inside, there are always undeleted pieces in the core of the piece, which is intended to prevent the appearance of imperfect deletion. In this process, the extinguishing process is divided into two sections, between which a Mahlvor-'Clang is switched on, which is intended to break down the lime slaked in the first process stage so that the unslaked constituents are free and accessible to the extinguishing water supplied in the third process stage. The disadvantage of this method is that with the components that have not been extinguished, the components that have already been completely extinguished also reach the post-extinguishing stage, which results in an excess of extinguishing water in the last-mentioned components. The advantage g in the Gewinnun is a deleted by lime product, is therefore bought with a substantially 'Zach part. The intervening grinding operation, which is more like a kneading process due to the pulpy structure caused by the previous extinguishing process, neither ensures that the non-extinguished components come out of the lime paste in such a way that they come into contact with the extinguishing water during the second deletion process, nor does one notable activation at least not caused by the deleted components. Because of the shortcomings mentioned and because of the high cost of its implementation, this method has therefore not found its way into practice. The known processes for producing cement-water or cement-sand-water mixtures, which are intended to counteract the phenomenon that after the mixture has been introduced into cavities, before it changes to the solid state, do not serve to activate either.
In contrast, the present invention the essence of the method is in accordance with that of the freshly deleted limy still warm g expediently a per se known mechanical Aktivierun and ventilation is subjected by beating, whirling and grinding, whereafter it is processed further in a conventional manner readily stick out. The lime slurry can be obtained in any desired way by extinguishing lumpy or powdered lime, working with an excess of water which is measured so that the resulting lime slurry has the optimum density. Ground unslaked lime can be slaked and activated at the same time.
The duration of the activation depends on the quality and type of lime used and is usually 6 to 12 minutes. The highest and fastest effect is achieved with pure air lime.
Mash prepared from air lime increases in density when activated. Therefore, the density must by adding water so advertising ere-elt t, z # 9 comprises the that after completion of the activation of the slurry the desired calcium content in a reasonable Wass ermenge while beating. Such prepared pulps are discharged into storage vessels from which they are no deviations can be immediately pumped on measuring instruments in mixer. The whole process of lime slaking, activation and production of the mortar takes about 40 to 50 minutes and runs almost continuously, without waiting times or delays.
In the manufacture of cement-lime mortars, during activation of the lime pulp a corresponding amount of Zernent added and together with the Activated lime.
The basis of this method of lime preparation consists in the fact that lumps of calcium hydroxide formed by chance are broken up in the aqueous suspension; are formed in certain Richtun, -oriented Hydratketten, the structure having the characteristic features for manure. Accordingly, the colloid-chemical properties of such activated lime slurry are those of a typical gel. Above all, these are: holding ability for water, low tendency to separate, pumpability, behavior during drying and solidification, etc. The specific surface of the calcium hydroxide also increases, although not considerably, due to the mechanical activation.
The drawing contains the reproduction of electromicroscopic recordings of non-activated lime slurry in FIG. 1 and a lime slurry activated according to the invention in FIG. 2, while maintaining the standard degree of magnification in both figures. The FIG. 2 clearly shows the occurring by activating Ausrichtun g in Hydratketten oriented.
The method according to the invention enables maximum utilization of lime in its most valuable property - plasticity. In the preparation of of masonry mortar can be 20 to 30% raw materials, Zespart, in plastering mortars, where The lime predominantly as a carrier of the plastic properties can generate savings up to 6019/9 of the lime can be targeted.
When producing mortars using the method described here there is a profound loosening of the structure within the calciumh droxyd grains; consequently the so-called y) "ripening" of the lime slurry in pits is omitted and the usually very difficult pumping or other removal from the same. The pulp is completely free of underslaked lime grains, and the danger of Subsequent deletion of the so-called "cores" is completely avoided. In this new way produced mortars show no tendency to deposit the for their preparation used water and 'can also be transported over great distances, without the risk of fraying. moreover, they are highly plastic and can easily be conveyed by pumping.
The compressive strength of cement mortars prepared according to this invention is on average about 101 / o higher than that made in the usual way. The uniformity of the compressive strength is also considerably higher: the scatter when testing individual specimens made of activated lime slurry drops down to one Sixth compared to specimens made from non-activated lime.
