Description
B. hygroskopische Mittel enthaltende Schmälzen, Oxalkylierungsprodukte von ein- und mehrwertigen Alkoholen, Phenolen, Carbonsäuren, Carbonsäureamiden und Sulfonsäureamiden..Antistatic agents To reduce or eliminate electrostatic Cargoes that carry objects of all kinds, e.g. B. textiles, made of hydrophobic or electrical. Substances that conduct electricity poorly during processing or in use on their Accumulating surface, a large number of means have been proposed, z. B. hygroscopic agents containing lubricants, oxalkylation products of and polyhydric alcohols, phenols, carboxylic acids, carboxylic acid amides and sulfonic acid amides.
It has now been found that sulfuric acid half-ester salts are alkoxylated Amides or imides of aromatic or of long-chain aliphatic-aromatic or aliphatic carboxylic or sulfonic acids particularly effective antistatic agents, z. B. for textiles and other foreign bodies that tend to be charged. With these means you can z. B. threads, fibers, films, tapes and structures them, such as yarns, woven fabrics, knitted fabrics and braids, from macromolecular compounds, such as polyamides, polyesters, polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl alcohol, Polyacrylic acid, poly methacrylic acid and their alkyl esters, polyethylene, polyurethane, from cellulose and its esters, such as cellulose acetate, and from synthetic or treat natural proteins.
The remedies have the general formula in which R1 is an aliphatic or aliphatic-aromatic radical with an aliphatic chain of at least 12 carbon atoms or an aromatic radical, R2 is a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic or aromatic radical, a radical of the general formula R, _- X- or a radical of the general formula - Y - S 03 - K, X is a group of the formula - S 02 - or - CO -, Y is a divalent radical composed of at least 2, preferably 5 to 15, alkoxy groups, in particular and K a: denotes an inorganic or organic cation.
Suitable leftovers Derive, for example, from sulfonic acid amides, sulfonic acid anilides, sulfonic acid cyclohexyl amides, saturated or unsaturated carboxylic acid amides, -ethanolamides and -propanolamides, which are obtainable from paraffins or paraffin mixtures with chains of 12 to 18 carbon atoms or from alkylbenzenes.
From this, in a known manner, by reacting with ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, Mixtures of these alkylene oxides or successive reaction with first the one and then the other alkylene oxide receive the oxalkylation products. Preferred a degree of oxalkylation of 5 to 15 alkoxy groups per molecule is generally used, however, at least 2 alkoxy groups per molecule are required.
After esterification of the free hydroxyl group with sulfuric acid to form the half-ester with neutralized by an inorganic or organic base, e.g. B. with alkalis, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aromatic amines, such as triethylamine, triethanolamine, methylcyclohexylamine or benzylamine.
The antistatic agents are usually used in the presence of diluents, preferably from aqueous solution or emulsion, and these aqueous preparations Usually contain 0.1 to 2% of sulfuric acid half-ester salts.
Example 1 With a 1% strength aqueous solution of a reaction product of 1 mole of a technical mixture of alkyl sulfonic acid amides having 12 to 18 carbon atoms with 5 moles of ethylene oxide, which is sulfated with sulfuric acid and neutralized with sodium hydroxide solution was, threads made of polyamide for 10 minutes at 30 ° C at a liquor ratio Treated by 1:30. After spinning and drying at 80 ° C, it is finished in this way Material antistatic; it shows even when exposed to intense frictional forces no disturbing electrical charge.
Example 2 Polyamide fibers with a titer of 1.4 denier and a Cut length of 40 mm with a 1% aqueous solution of a reaction product from 1 mole of a technical mixture of alkyl sulfonic acid amides with 12 to 18 carbon atoms with 10 moles of ethylene oxide that has been sulfated and neutralized with sodium hydroxide solution, Treated for 10 minutes at 40 ° C in a liquor ratio of 1:30, spun and at 80 ° C dried. The fiber flock prepared in this way does not become charged during spinning.
Example 3 29.9 parts of a reaction product of 1 mol of an alkylsulfonic acid anilide, made from a technical mixture of dodecane to octadecane sulfonic acids, with 15 moles of ethylene oxide that has been sulfated and neutralized with sodium hydroxide solution, are up to a clear solution with 8.6 parts of dimethylcyclohexylamine salt of an alkyl sulfate mixture mixed with 12 to 14 carbon atoms. Then 17.1 parts of the nonethylene glycol ester stirred in a technical heptadecanedicarboxylic acid and added 38.6 parts of mineral oil. 5.8 parts of a fatty alcohol mixture are added to the cloudy liquid obtained having 10 to 18 carbon atoms; the liquid becomes completely clear. With a 10% aqueous emulsion of this mixture are polyacrylonitrile on the in the example 1 treated way. The threads finished in this way are antistatic and anti-static the applied oil film is easy to slide, so that further processing, such as coils, Weaving, knitting and warping can be carried out without difficulty. Even at thread take-off speeds from 500 m per minute no signs of charging are perceived. The on This type of finished threads are neither exposed to light nor by Dry heat or saturated steam turns yellow. The preparation can be done with cold water can easily be removed again. Example 4 30 parts of a reaction product of 1 mole of an alkylsulfonic acid compound, produced from a technical mixture of Dodecane to octadecane sulfonic acid, with 10 moles of ethylene oxide, which is sulfated and with Dioxäthyläthylenediamine, neutralized, with 8.3 parts of dimethylcyclohexylamine salt an alkyl sulfate mixture, the alkyl groups of which contain 12 to 14 carbon atoms., mixed. Then 17.1 parts of Nonaäthylenglykolester a technical Heptadecanedicarboxylic acid and 5.8 parts of a technical mixture of fatty alcohols Decanol to octadecanol added. Add to this mixture 46.3 Parts mineral oil and clarify it with 6 parts water. A low-viscosity, optically clear liquid. It is used to make polyamide threads after washing and drying Oiled on the circulation machine, with an oil application of approximately 1%. The threads treated in this way are provided with a gapless oil film and are not subject to electrostatic charge. The running properties of the so treated threads on the finishing machines are much better than the running properties of the threads treated with 10 emulsified mineral oils alone. The preparation can be easily removed with water. Example 5 With a 0.5% aqueous solution of a reaction product of 1 mol of a technical di- (a.lkylsulfonsäure) imide, whose alkyl groups contain an average of 15 carbon atoms, with 4 moles of ethylene oxide, which has been sulfated with sulfuric acid and neutralized with dioxyethylstearylamine, threads made of polyamide for 10 minutes at 30 ° C and a liquor ratio Treated by 1:30. After spinning and drying at 80 ° C, the treated material becomes charged Well not electric anymore.
