Description
Washer and dryer spin dryer The invention relates to an improvement of a primarily intended for laundry washing in the household washer and dryer spin dryer, in which a reversible motor acts directly driving on a washing and drying spin drum in only one direction of rotation and only for spin drying, in its during washing and rinsing However, reverse direction of rotation rotates freely to the drum and in this case transfers its drive torque to a pump which circulates the washing or rinsing liquid in the circuit from the washing liquid container to the drum. In and of themselves, such machines are nothing new; their benefits are numerous u 'nd also well known. You can wash, rinse and then spin dry in the Trominel. When washing and rinsing, the liquid used for this is circulated by means of a pump. The pump takes the liquid from the washing liquid container containing the drum and sends it into the washing drum. mostly through a nozzle which is directed through the bottom of the washing liquid container upwards against the bottom of the washing drum, which is perforated on an annular surface. After the liquid has performed its washing, rinsing and circulating function on the laundry in the drum, it returns through the perforated jacket of the drum to the washing liquid container and then back to the pump. Since the liquid is circulated in the manner just described during the washing and rinsing of the laundry, the high-speed drive motor of the machine does not directly transmit a drive to the drum. During washing, the drum can be moved independently of the motor via a kind of free-wheel clutch ring. Only when the direction of rotation of the motor is reversed for the purpose of spinning the laundry dry, there is a direct connection between the motor and the laundry drum in the overrunning clutch. As the washing drum is then rotated directly by the motor and thus correspondingly fast, before or at the same time the liquid is also discharged from the washing liquid container, the laundry in the drum can and will very soon be spun dry to a certain degree. z # I ZD The possible during washing and rinsing the drum rotates in the freewheeling when it as in the past and caused thereby washing movement and laundry flushing, is unreliable in front of him and by the washing liquid circulation solely dependent - how 'el t e xperience it taught - by no means sufficient to bring all the laundry from the drum into the washing liquid circulating circuit over and over again, and also much too dependent on how large or how heavy the respective amount of laundry in the drum may be. The invention counteracts this disadvantage, in principle in that the drum is forced into a slowly rotating movement during washing and rinsing, preferably step by step. According to the invention, a gear mechanism is provided between the motor and drum or drum shaft, which is automatically disengaged during drying and by means of which a slow, preferably step-by-step rotating movement is imposed on the drum during washing and rinsing. The disengagement of the gear (during dry spinning) and also the re-engagement (for long, sardening or incremental rotation of the drum during washing and rinsing) is done automatically according to the invention by means of a part provided in the gear so that it can move under centrifugal force. Further details, features ZD and advantages of the machine, improved according to the invention, of the type set forth at the beginning, will emerge from the description of an exemplary embodiment which now follows. Only the part required for understanding the invention is shown, namely the automatic transmission which forces the drum to perform the desired rotational movement when washing and rinsing the laundry.
A front engine by means of an eccentric Ex in the horizontal plane back and forth swingable plate 1, which is guided below in the engine housing 2 with a slot or slot 3 on a stationary pin 4, is through a second slot or held by a second elongated hole 5 with a pin 6 in engagement. The pin 6 is firmly seated in or on a disk 7 which is freely rotatably mounted on the drum shaft 8 below the plate 1. Corresponding to the reciprocating movement of the plate 1 , the disc 7 experiences a reciprocating movement about the drum shaft 8. The disk 7 has a toothing 9 around its circumference. A claw or pawl 10 is held in engagement with this toothed unit, namely in a resilient manner. The claw or pawl 10 is supported by a pin designated 11. This pin 11 is firmly seated on or in a disc body 12 which is keyed onto the lower end of the drum shaft 8. A the disk body 12 mounted spring 13 holds normally the claw or pawl 10 with the teeth 9 on the periphery of cheibe S 7 in engagement (Art ratcheting engagement).
The corresponding to the back and forth driving plate 1 resulting in the direction of arrow a rotating movement of the disk 7 causes the pawl or pawl 10 engaging in the teeth 9 to be carried along. Here, the claw or pawl in turn takes along with it the disk body 12 serving as a carrier. Since the disc body 12 is wedged onto the drum shaft, the drum shaft must also be taken along or rotated accordingly. The movement of the disk 7 rotating back in the direction of the arrow b remains ineffective on the pawl 10 as a result of the ratchet engagement.
Alles Waschgut kommt jetzt also absolut regelmäßig in den Waschflüssigkeitsumwälzstroin hinein. The eccentric oscillating drive of the plate 1 may expediently be set up in such a way that the oscillation amplitude, in particular the size of the reciprocating motion imparted to the disk 7 , corresponds precisely to the tooth pitch provided for the toothing 9. The slowly rotating movement of the drum or drum shaft during washing and rinsing goes tooth for tooth, so absolutely regularly and without the laundry movement achieved in the drum by the liquid circulation being able to cause any irregularities in the drum movement. All items to be washed now come absolutely regularly into the washing liquid circulating flow.
At z. B. 1000 rpm of the drive motor or the plate 1 back and forth swinging eccentric (which is conveniently housed in a hub-shaped part l 'of the plate 1 surrounding the drum shaft 8 , freely rotatable on the drum shaft) give a thousand per minute back and forth rotating movements of the toothed disc body 7, that is, a thousand partial rotations of the laundry drum in steps. In the case of a toothing 9 with, for example, 90 pieces of teeth, if the motor is running at a speed of 1000 rpm, 11 rpm would result for the rotary movement of the drum.
When spin dry, the direction of rotation of the drum shaft is reversed, i. H. opposite to the direction of the arrow a. As a result of the effect of centrifugal force, the pawl '-, ie or pawl 10 lifts out of the toothing 9 so that it - the pawl or pawl - together with the shaft 8 and its disc body 12 is able to revolve relative to the toothing 9 f free.
The disc body 12, which is firmly connected to the drum shaft, is not only the carrier of the pawl 10 - but also the carrier of a pulp drum 14, by means of which the laundry drum is brought to a standstill almost immediately after the drive motor has been switched off, by applying brake pads, not shown, which are placed on the brake drum act from the inside and the motor housing 2 are to be thought of as being embedded in the locations designated by 14 '. The actuation of the brake pads, which takes place depending on the switching on and off of the motor, is expediently done by means of a Bowden cable.
Instead of just one pawl 10 on the disk body 12, several of these could of course also be provided, preferably evenly distributed around the circumference of the disk body 12.
