erfordert.Resistance braking circuit for electric traction vehicles It is already
a resistance brake circuit for electric vehicles with large engine power,
in particular locomotives, known in which one of the traction motors is used as an intermediate exciter
is used. Its excitation winding is fed from a collector battery. A
The disadvantage of this circuit is that the braking force - a constant excitation
of the exciter motor assuming - itself with the square of the speed or the speed
changes. As a result, it is a special control switch in the excitation circuit
of the exciter motor is provided, by which the excitation is constant during the braking process
this machine has to be changed, which attracts the constant attention of the engine driver
requires.
There is also a resistor brake circuit for vehicles with multiple
Motors known in which one of the motors serves as an exciter for the rest
and its excitation is fed by an auxiliary battery. The arrangement is designed in such a way that
that the motors operate in a larger speed range if possible
have constant braking force. The auxiliary battery becomes part of the generated
Braking current directly through a special one connected to the braking resistor
Branch circuit supplied as charging current. This arrangement has the disadvantage that operating cases
are possible in which the battery is heavily overloaded and discharged accordingly
will. As the battery is only recharged during part of each braking period
can take place, it is uncertain whether the battery will be recharged sufficiently.
However, if it cannot be guaranteed that the battery will be sufficiently recharged,
you must expect their gradual exhaustion after several braking operations
are, so that the course of braking may even be called into question
is.
gelegt. The invention relates to a resistance braking circuit for electrical
Traction vehicles, in particular trolleybuses, to achieve an approximate
constant braking deceleration over a wide speed range
the one mechanically coupled with the drive motor, only used for excitation
(Axle generator) is used for the field excitation of the traction motors. According to the invention
the arrangement is designed so that to keep the braking force constant and thus
the deceleration of the vehicle a controller for the field excitation of the exciter generator
is provided under the influence of the short-circuit braking and the excitation current
the drive motors and a pre-excitation that can be set on the brake pedal. With
this circuit allows an approximately constant delay over a
large speed range and a step-by-step regulation of the respectively desired
Deceleration distance with simple means and while largely protecting the transmission
achieve. A circuit according to the invention is shown schematically in FIG.
The graph in Fig. 2 is used for explanation. The circuit in Fig. 1 shows
the armature 1 of the traction motor and its field winding 2. With the traction motor is the armature
3 coupled to an exciter generator. Its field winding is denoted by 4. to
the braking circuit also includes a starting and braking resistor 5, a controller 6,
z. B. a dither regulator, with the coils I, II, III. His contact works in conjunction
with a field weakening resistor 7 in the circuit of the generator excitation winding
4. There is also a brake contactor 8 with four contacts and a main switch
9 and a contact 10 for producing the braking circuit. A control current contact
11 is at the onset of braking, z. B. depending on the position of the brake pedal,
actuated. A setting auxiliary contact is connected to the control current contact 11,
which is used to change a variable resistor 13. For supplying the exciter generator field winding
4 is a battery 12. Finally, the circuit also contains a controllable one
Resistor 14 in series with coil I of controller 6 on armature 3 of the exciter generator
and a setting resistor 15. The unspecified terminals of the armature
3 of the exciter generator are directly attached to the ends of the field winding 2 of the traction motor
placed.
Spulen I, II und III.
By closing the contact 10 , the braking circuit can be established so that the armature 1 of the traction motor is connected in series with the invariable braking resistor 5. When closing the control current contact 11, the z. B. is operated by the brake pedal, the brake contactor 8 is applied voltage. Its two upper contacts are used to connect the armature 3 of the exciter generator to the field winding 2 of the traction motor. The field winding 4 of the exciter generator is excited by the battery via the dither contact of the controller 6 with the field weakening resistor 7 connected in parallel to it. As already mentioned, the controller 6 has three coils I, II and III. The coil I is excited by the armature voltage of the exciter generator or by the voltage on the field winding 2 of the traction motor via the controllable resistor 14. The coil II is excited by a voltage via the lower contacts of the brake contactor 8, which voltage is tapped off at part of the brake resistor 5. The current generated by this voltage in the coil II can be regulated with the aid of the setting resistor 15. The coil III of the controller is excited directly by the voltage of the battery 12 via the variable resistor 13, which is switched on at the same time as the brake pedal.
Drehzahl fallen. From the graph in FIG. 2 it can be seen that in order to achieve a constant braking deceleration, the braking force PB must remain approximately pale. Therefore, the short-circuit braking current IB must increase proportionally with the traction motor speed n, and the excitation current JE of the traction motor field winding must fall with increasing speed.
The ideal case would be achieved if the product IB - IE remained constant at any given speed. Since regulation by multiplying the two factors with the usual regulating means is not possible, at least an approximately constant braking force must be achieved by adding the two variables. In the specified circuit, this is achieved in that the ampere turns of the two coils I and II add up in the controller 6 and the controller therefore keeps the sum of IB and IE constant.
For setting different braking delays, i. H. different
Braking forces, you just need to change the excitation of the regulator coils I and II, what
by means of control resistors 14 and 15, which may be operated by the brake pedal,
can be reached. The controller 6 can, however, also use the coil already mentioned
III are provided, with which one can interpose the control resistor 13
receives a more or less high pre-excitation of the controller and thus also a
stepless regulation of the braking force or the braking delay. The drive motor used
is especially useful for trolleybuses a double collector motor, its
both armature halves and its two field windings during braking, respectively
are connected either in series with one another or in parallel with one another.
