Description
Fenster- und Türrahmen aus Metall haben neben vielen Vorteilen den Nachteil, daß sie die Wärme gut leiten und daher bei großen Temperaturunterschieden zwischen beiden Seiten des Fensters oder der Türe eine Wärmebrücke bilden, die sich in manchen Fällen in unerwünschter Weise bemerkbar macht. Im Winter z. B. bilden Verbundglasscheiben bei Fenstern eine wertvolle thermische Isolation; in den Innenräumen läßt sich daher die Temperatur ohne Schwierigkeiten auf angenehmer Höhe halten. Sind aber die Glasscheiben in einem Rahmen aus Metall, z. B. aus Aluminiumlegierung oder aus Buntmetall, eingefaßt, so findet im Rahmen infolge der guten Wärmeleitfähigkeit des Metalls ein bedeuender Wärmefluß von innen nach außen statt, der selbst bei guter Beheizung der Innenräume dazu führen kann, daß an1 der Innenseite des Rahmens dessen Temperatur unterhalb des Taupunktes der Luft gesenkt wird und sich Schwitzwasser niederschlägt, bevor die Verbundglasscheibe zu schwitzen beginnt.Window and door frames made of metal have, in addition to many advantages, the disadvantage that they conduct heat well and therefore form a thermal bridge in the event of large temperature differences between the two sides of the window or door, which in some cases is noticeable in an undesirable manner.
