Derartige Weichen werden in Anlagen zur Bearbeitung, und zwar insbesondere zum Aufteilen von Bahnen, insbesondere Wellpappe-Bahnen, angeordnet, wobei die Teil-Bahnen, bei denen es sich meistens um zwei Teil-Bahnen handelt, einer Querschneide-Einrichtung zugeführt werden, in denen die einzelnen Teil-Bahnen in einzelne Bahnabschnitte, sogenannte Nutzen, zerschnitten und einer Ablage zugeführt werden. Die einzelnen Querschneider einer solchen Querschneide-Einrichtung sind übereinander angeordnet. Während eines ununterbrochenen Transportes der Teil-Bahnen befinden sich die einer oberen Teil-Bahn zugeordneten Weichen-Elemente in ihrer oberen Weichen-Stellung, während die einer unteren Teil-Bahn zugeordneten Weichen-Elemente sich in ihrer unteren Weichen-Stellung befinden.
