Abstract

The valve has a valve housing and an electromagnetic operating unit for a magnetic armature (18), displaced axially for movement of a valve closure element (22) cooperating with a valve seat. The magnetic armature has a wear-resistance sliding layer, e.g. a carbon layer, applied as a single-layer system to its mantle surface and its end face (30) opposite to that facing the valve closure element.
