Abstract

The motor vehicle comprises electrically driven units (Z) which are supplied by a fuel cell (5). The fuel cell is connected to fuel gas supply (6) on its anode-side and is connected to an oxidation gas supply (7) on its cathode-side. The oxidation gas supply is connected to a compressed-air generator which is driven by the internal combustion piston engine. The compressor (8) is connected to the engine via a switched coupling (10).
