Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Aufarbeitung von schwermetallbelasteten Metallchloridrückständen, die bei der Titandioxidherstellung nach dem Chloridverfahren anfallen. Die Metallchloridrückstände werden mit Schwefelsäure umgesetzt, wobei Eisen(II)sulfat erhalten wird. Die verwendete Schwefelsäure ist vorzugsweise eine Gebrauchtschwefelsäure.
