Abstract
Device for checking for hairline cracks in silicon slices, especially for use in the manufacture of solar cells, has a sound generator (2) for generation of sound waves that are to impact on the surface of a slice to be tested, a holding device (3) in which the slice (1) to be tested is held, a measurement recorder for recording the sound waves emitted from the silicon slice and an evaluation unit for evaluation of the recorded measurements.
