Abstract

The airbag module has a housing (1) provided with an airbag chamber for reception of an inflatable airbag, the edge of the inflation opening of the airbag secured via a fixing (4) provided on the outside of the sidewall (3) of the airbag chamber, with a latch section (6b) contacting the outside of the airbag, the airbag chamber being open in the airbag deployment direction.
